I believe they did the same to me with the same outcome. I won a carb from them and then within minutes got a refund with a note that the part was mislisted. Then a week later got a note from Ebya that I needed to pay for the item. I told them the story and it got stricken.

Thanks guys, If I only would have done this swap back in the 80's when I did race 200 class CC I might have done a lil better lol. The machine rides great and I hate to see it go but the wifey just gadiated college and I have too get my hobbies down so we can make the corner before she goes to work.

how do i break the bead on my tire
SCEADU replied to F.BEJARANO's topic in General Banshee Discussion
You can pick up a small tire machine at Northern tool for about $40. How big was the hole? couldn't you plug it? -
is this enough proof? The little rolled up ball above it was the Brown.

Atlanta GA. the scorpion was only about an inch long and they won't hurt you if they sting you here but still they scare the hell outa ya when you aren't expecting it.
-
So last night I am sitting by the computer again and this time I catch one in the pepsi bottle. About 20 minutes later in the same spot a Scorpion is scooting across my desk so I catch him in the same bottle. This morning the scorpion had breakfast.

It just doesn't make sense. The compression is @ 145 so thats not it. I got it started and once shee was warm I pulled the choke and it burbles so the choke must be working to some extent. I have read that several peeps experience this so for now when shee doesn't start I 'll just put alittle fuel in the cylinder.
-
Meat, I'll trade ya my Jeep for that 250R J/K
-
If I dump a little fuel down on cylinder it will fire right up. after about 30 seconds of feathering the throttle it will idle all day. It maybe a prob with the choke circuit. Can anyone else start their Banshee in the summer without the choke?
-
I believe he has it on EBAY as well.

Issue resolved!!! Both parties came to an agreed conclusion.

Right cylnder nearly dead. Tried everything. Any advice?
SCEADU replied to Keyser Soze's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
If one of the pedals is broken then on top end you would run as normal but on the bottom you would have too much air and loose power. -
Pull the seat off and unscrew the top of the carbs off and pull out the slides. You really only have to do one to see if it is in correct. did you install the jets in the carbs yourself?
-
I have a set of WORKS on my "R" and love them there but the geometry is way different between the "R" and "SHEE". I would just get a Ebay set if your's are blown until you can save up enough to do A arms and shocks. This is just one simple man's oppinion though.

If you look at the slides one side has like an upsidedown "U" on it for the lack of a better term. This side goes toward the airbox. The side that goes toward the cylinders is squared off. I emailed and called NYUK several times after he sold me my stock carbs and between us we could not figure out why I could not get her running right. NYUK automatically figured that I wasn't a moron and never thought to ask me the obvious. It wasn't until utter frustration that I pulled out the Clymer and read this little bit of info. and I thought to myself who could make that mistake. "YOURz TRULY" did. The obvious is often times overlooked.
-
I am a little shy to admit this but it happened to me. Make sure you put the correct slide in the correct carb.the cut outs should be to the air box. If this seems obvious to anyone else just call me a moron and I apologize.

Went to Dtown again today and the strip is only 400' I could not beat anything today. I just got the jetting perfect and now the problem is wheel spin. I litterally fishtail from start to about 300' once in 4th or 5th gear Shee gets hooks up and I usually loose by about 3 feet. All and all now it comes down to the rider at this point. beacause I can gain about a 2 bike lengths in the last 100 feet. If I could learn better launches I don't think anything there could have beat me all day. I put my ass all over the seat to see if I could get it to hook up to no avail so I guess I have to learn better clutch skills. The current method is dump it and pump it. I have a brand new set of 18" ITP XCR's and the track is "HARD" and I do mean hard packed Georgia red clay. As dry as it was today everyone was having problems with traction. The only machines that were getting good launches were the 4wd's

What jets are you using? Fill out this form...
SCEADU replied to vortechblown306's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
1) What type of aftermarket exhaust do you have? Fatty's with pwer core II's 2)What type of airfilter do you have? K&N 3) Are you a)running a stock airbox with lid stock airbox with NO lid c) Stock airbox with vents d) no airbox at all No lid with a outer ware 4) What is your elevation? 1200 5) What size pilot jets are you using? 30's 6) What size main jets are you using? 330's witht the needle on the 4th richest setting 7) What temperature is your Banshee jetted for? "HOT LANTA" 8) Do you have a port job? Trail port 9) What kind of carbs? Stock] 10) What size carbs? 26 11) +4 timing 12) Minor bog out of the hole but HOLD THE HELL ON in the mid and top!! -
I tried a 27.5 and once the girl was warm she had a bog out of the hole. I bumped to a 30 and the bog is almost gone. The mod the machine has is a trail port, Fatty's, K&N, no lid, and advanced to +4. The choke detent is messed up so you have to hold it. After it hits, if you hold the choke out it still won't start. Oh and everything is fresh through out the motor with new plugs. (just had to recase it after a chain break) I am no expert but beleive me I have done everything normal that can be done that is why I come here looking for an answer. Once she is warm I can sit on the seat and just lean on the kicker and it fires.
-
On a cold start you have to use a kind of science to start my shee. Pull chokes full on. kick it once or twice and it hits. let chokes off and kick it again 0nce and feather the throttle for about a minute unitil it idles on its own. If you don't catch it just right it becomes a real bear of kicking your ass off or putting a little fuel down the plugs. Anyone else have this experience ? Once she is warm its usually a half kick at she fires right up and will idle all day. It is almost like it doesn't get enough fuel cold. I did read some one else have a simular issue recently and one of the replies was a possible wrong pilot. My pilots are 30's.

LIL' Bastards!!!! I can't get rid of them. Bad thing about them is they are not canibalistic so if you have one you have hundreds. That's the first time I have seen one on my puter desk tho.
-
Just now I was readin this thread and a Brown Recluse walked across my puter desk. First I said "IT" and then I did "IT" in my pants and then I's smashed the damn thing with a pepsi bottle. I am not even kidding!!!!!
