EBAY member name mo-gascan2 . I won a set of rear fenders form the guy and can't seem to get him to respond to and email.

Niether one of them were stock. The Outlander was a little faster. He had a complete aftermarket exhaust with some electrical upgrades and a filter mod. The dude could sometimes wheeelie it up and beat the 400's from start to finish on 2 wheels. These things were deffinately no joke. The Outlander sounded like a mini Porche. He claimed to have somwhere in the vacinity of 14k all toll in the machine. Memorial day weekend there was a guy there with a turbo mod to his Renegade. He lost every hole shot but won every race I watched with the front tires about a foot in the air at the finish line. He claimed that he had no intention of the front wheels being off the ground only that it had that much "umph" when the turbo was all spooled up. Very impressive!!!

This track is alot shorter than 1/8. Maybe 600 feet?

Went to Durhamtown Ga a couple of days ago and after hitting the Trails with the "R" I decided to hit the dirt drag with the Shee. I beat a LTR a YFZ and a TRX (all 450's). Then I beat a Raptor 700 and 660. I was feeling preaty good so then I went after a tricked out KFX 700 and split some wins with him. Then 2 "good ol boys" show up with the Can Am Outlander and Renegade. The closest I could get to either one of these guys was a bike length. I am not sure of how long the Track is but I would start gaining on them towards the end but out of the hole they just blew past me. Should I be ashamed? I have stock bore and stroke, a trail port, FMF fatty's, and advanced 4 degrees.

Ok,,,,,,,,,,, This is the problem.. I have already established the fact that it is lean. Every time I move the clip down the condition gets a little better. Now that I have NO MORE SLOTS on the rod I need to know what is next. Mains or pilots.
-
I started in the middle hole and as i moved the eclip down (richer) the response got better. I have no slots so do I need to richen up the mains? I want to get it closer before I do a chop. We know that by moving the clip to the richer side we got improvements so I just need to know where to go from here.
-
I thought the pilot was off idle, the main was on the top and the needle is the mid range ? The sputter is near the bottom of the range right before the power band.
-
Ok I am getting real close now on my jetting. I have the "E" clip all the way down on the rod and am still experienceing a "sputter" right before the PB comes on. It has a "miss" sound until the PB come on fully. Once into the PB it goes into "look the hell out mode" so I think my mains at 320 are fine. I have Fattys with a trail port, stock carbs, K&N filter and the lid removed. If I put 30's on the pilot where should I put the "E" clip? Any thoughts?

Sounds Like a job for trunk monkey!!!! The system seams to set up for the low-lifes anymore. I can't stand the mentatlity that he apparently is well-off so no big deal. I don't care if the guy was Bill Gates, it's his property and you should not have to have everything you own locked up like Fort Knox.

Sounds like a typical Saturday night when I was growing up in PA. We would get bored and go racing through town until the Stateies would show up then off to the "RODEO". We would take them for a joy ride into the Strip mines and then back through town. It didn't matter that they were faster, we just would not stop. I think with today's standards they would have probably run us off the road and then butt stomped us for resisting arrest. I was lucky that I never got caught, Hell I had one chase me up the RR tracks for about 5 miles. I finally jumped down off a bank and into the creek to get away from him. Looking back I think they must have enjoyed it as much as we did because nothing exciting ever happened there. The best chase happened in the winter of 94 when Pa got like 36" of snow in 12 hours. The gov declairs a state of emergency and when that happens snowmobiles are aloud to use public hiways. I guess nobody told the rooky officer that because this knucklehead decides that he is going to give chase to me and another friend who are on sleds tooling up the road. I had an 89 Ski Doo Stratos that would do around 85-90 (It wasn't stock) and my buddy's Indy 650 would probably top out at 95-100. Needless to say that he did not hang with us very long before he went out through the "Jing Weed" at around 60. Now'a'days I would not condone this behavior, but it was fun back then.

I found Keihin's sit and it is an idle screw. I screwed it all the way out and the tip is worn off so thats why it does not adjust the idle well. I will have to order one.
-
i thought it might be as well but with it screwed all the way in it only changes the idle a few RPM's. Iwanna make sure that it is not a secondary air screw or something that can have catastrophic effect to my engine. I bought the carb used and did not get a maual with it. I can't seem to find one Google either.

On the 38 mm Air striker there is a black plastic screw witha spring on it near the fuel inlet. What is this screw for?
-
I had one on my 327 and could not get it right. Went to an Edelbrock and got it closer but still not perfect. The best investment I made with the carbs is a air/fuel guage. I think I paid like $140 at Summit. It will help tremendously when trying to tune a carb. Finally I went to The Edelbrock EFI and Love it. Went from 12 mile to the gal to 16 mile to the gal with no performance loss and it still pushes 375 ponies. The best thing is the fact that I don't need a single tool to tune it. Just pull it up on the module and make the adjustments from in the cockpit on the fly.

I was wondering if there are any other Gerogia peeps on here. My son and I are headed to Durhamtown Plantation on Saturday and I was hoping to see other here that might be there3 as well.

I just had to recase my engine and with the banshee video by tate (a member here) and a clymer manual I was able to do the whole tear down and rebuild in a few evenings. I feel that by doing it yourself you learn how everything works and are able to better understand what is going on when there is a problem.
-
I just got done building and engine from the ground up. Since I was ahead of schedule and wanted to get all the bugs worked out before my son goes back to school, I reused an old clutch. Seems that the clutch I had was a cheap after market kit. One of the friction disks is Green and the material on it is like rubber. Could this be a version of the cusion that goes on first? When I tore the engine down I don't remeber a cusion ring like is in the Banshee how to disk I bought from one of the members or in the Clymer manual. I put it all together and now when the PB opens up it feels like it surges or slips tremendously. I plan on buying a F.A.S.T clutch on Monday but I wanted to spend tomorrow working some bugs out.
-
I sure am glad you posted this. I decided to take your remedy and when I pulled the fly wheel off the woodruff key was boogered. So now I have to get a new key and dremel the old one out.

Can a stator be tested whil building and engine? I am rebuilding my engine and have 2 stators I know one works but I would like to use the other due to it being the adjustable type. I don't want to get it all together and find out the thing does not work and I have to cut the plug off the other one and spice it onto the newer type of wiring harness.
-
I just got a set of work tripple rate for my "R" frontend and now have a set of stock shocks that are fairly new. They are about 2" longer than the Banshee stockers and I thought maybe I could cut of the existing mount and slide them out a little to get them to fit. If it works I will put the Wroks shocks on it after I move to the next level on the "R". Anyone used the "R" shocks on the Banshee.

I bought a FMF fatty from them 2 weeks ago. When It did not come today I decided to email them to see what the problem is and shortly thereafter got a confimation email from JC whitney for the same exact price as the pipe. I called my CC company and asked them if there was a charge on my account for the pipe amount and they said no. I asked them to refuse the charge until I got it worked out. A few hours later some lady call me from Carparts.com and says my order did not go through because my card was declined. I told her that I did not order anything from them and what was the part she was sending me. When she did not know I told her to cancel the order and few other choice words. I don't know what their deal is but IMO bad bussiness.

So I get a new engine that has pefect cases. Man I am bragging to all my buds about how I found 1 with perfect cases. I get all set up and am working on jetting it so out through the yard I go. I get to the bottom of my yard where I do a 180 around a tree and start to get after her up the hill and I sling a chain. As luck would have it, the chain got shot out of the back with no damage. SO I hoof it back up to the Shop where I keep several master's . I grab a new one with a set of vise grips and back down to the machine I go. I get the new master on and realize that I forgot the keeper. Well it is only 200 feet or so back to the shop so I 'll just "take it easy". I start up the hill and didn't even get out of 1st when the bike comes to a sudden stop. I look down and the chain is all coiled around my front sprocket with a heathy size chunk out of the case. GRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!.

I just pulled $250 from mine that I had on EBAY.
