It just makes your bike launch better out of the hole. Less pulling to one side or the other. Launches straight which means you can launch with more RPM's.

diff. between 110 oct. and premix! HELP
BURRITO replied to 907banshee's topic in General Banshee Discussion
40:1 Torco GP7 with 110oct Thats what my ride gets every trip... -
Dave (Dave Moore Racing) had me just check mine while kicking the bike over....He never had me run on one cylinder...??? Anybody else??? Dave also doesn't recommend pump gas for any bike...Due to the fact "its shit". Too much crap getting through for sales these days.
-
Just get pods for stock carbs...The 26mm fill fit on your 28mm just fine, thats all I ever ran when I had mine. Now I run 34mm and get my pods from Cascade... I think you will save some $$$$ if you just run the 26mm....

Just goto to your hardware store and buy this style bolts. http://www.indiamart.com/stanfordfasteners...n-cap-screw.jpg Metric for the studs and SAE for the pinch bolt.

Those are Lonestar Hubs. I have them on my bike. The studs (that are missing) are just metric bolts threaded in from the back side. The pinch bolt is a standard thread allen/cap bolt. After you obtain/install the necessary hardware just slide them onto your axle, snug down the castle nut, and tighten the pinch bolt.

He left town for a few days, not sure if he has computer access or not. I can't get you pictures or I would. He has 15cc, 18cc, and 19cc domes (all small bore). Its in great shape with all acorn nuts and o-rings have about 5-6 hrs on them. Hope this helps....

Seriously he doesn't. I have been hanging with Dave for years, he hasn't replaced a crank or anything in any of his motors due to not purging. I know alchohol is water based vs. gas being petroleum based but he insists its not a problem. I remember a few years ago he took a couple pieces of steel dipped one in alchohol/mix and the other in gas/mix then sat them outside in the rain. After a few days they seemed to develope rust comparatively. As he said, "see for yourself"....Dunno, just telling you what I have observed, I have not run alky so....Just what I have observed from Dave and his motors....Hope it helps.

When I had my 28's I just put zip-ties on the fuel line at the carbs and never had any problems. I think you set-up should be fine. By the way I ran mine with 28's and zip-ties for 7years...

Ask Dave Moore (DMR). He never purges his motors. Duners or track. He denies any problems whatsoever. I guessing overnight won't hurt anything.

I've been running 40:1 (110oct. with Torco GP7) for years. Never a problem, everything looked great when I tore it down and went to 4mil. As for jetting, the leaner your mix, the richer your fuel. Make sense? Currently I run a 4mil long rod, cust cut domes in cool head, CPI pipes, a sweet ass DMR port job, 34mm carbs, mod quad intake, k and n clamp-ons, timing +4, v-force reeds.....Haven't ran it on the dyno yet but last comparable motor made 80+ hp at the shop. Had to go to a lock-up since it was smoking the clutch (+1 plate with R6 fibers/Barnett steels/6 Barnett springs)...

I have to admit I started on PS. Many years ago I joined PS and don't have time to be a member on many forums. I have read this forum off and on over the years but never joined until recently. PS pissed me off!!! I don't see why I need to pay to see pictures from other members!!!! I am only sorry I did not join this forum sooner and neglect PS sooner!!!! Anyways I am here and enjoying this forum much more. As an introduction I have a 1997 Banshee (purchased in 1998) It has a lil DMR 4mil and I ride in the sand. I am not a drag guy and am glad to meet anybody who rides whatever, wherever (I do prefer Banshees LOL). Anyways..... Burrito

I ran the chrome door edging for awhile. There is glue inside the channel so it seems to stay on better. Now I run nothing but the tank cover itself.

Congrats!!! I did the same thing 15years ago, best thing thats ever happened to me.....

is anyone the original purchaser of a lonestar axel?
BURRITO replied to yamaha_daniel's topic in General Banshee Discussion
When I got my axle from Lonestar it came with a warranty card. It required me to register it to me for warranty claims. I had to give them my name, address, axle serial number and such. Sorry to say I don't believe anybody will be able to help you if that axle is not registered to them. -
Thanks...
