  5. whats up, i have stock carbs on my banshee, tors removed, obviously they are re jetted. i was considering changing it over to the trinity single carb set up just for the simple fact that it will be easier to tune one carb but im also concearned about losing on the performance end of things if i do so. i havent seen too much info or feed back on here about the single carb set up. if anyone has any info or input about these carbs and whether or not they affect performance positively or negatively i would really like to hear what anyone has to say. please help. Thanks Gurnzz

  9. hey Dinner here what my banshee has. My Banshee (optional): 98 banshee white and blue black powdercoated rims w/blue powdercoated hubs tag bars and asv levers wiseco superstock pistons +.040 noss head with 20cc domes billet waterpump impeller adjustable timing plate tors eliminated 350 mains w/27.5 pilots carbon fiber reeds k+n w/no lid or snorkle fmf fatties w/turbinecore 2 silencers boost bottle razors all around heres the problem shee wont start outside in cold weather unless i pop start it. if outside temp is at least 55 degrees shee will start but once the outside temp gets below about 30 degrees shee wont start. im using the choke and kick it several times but no start. in my heated garage where the temp is about 70 degrees shee will start every time on the first kick. sooo what do i think ?? any ideas. thanks gurnzz
  10. shee wont start when cold outside. in heated garage starts on first kick but when outside shee does nothing. my elevation is about 100 ft above sealevel and the average temp here is about 20-30 degrees F but sometimes colder. right now the carbs have 350 mains, 27.5 pilots and needles at i beleive 2nd postition. any help would be greatly apprecaited. Thanks... Gurnzz
  11. hey firebanshee if the press plate were worn dont u think it would have same symptoms in all gears rather than just in 2nd? im not doubting u cuz ur shee looks nasty and i assume u prolly know more about them than i do. thanks
  12. im fairly sure there not only because it pulls hard in first and every other gear but 2nd but ill take a look at it. thanks for the suggestion!!
  13. my clutch blew when i was at silver lake. i replaced when i got home, it was definently gone. i also replaced clutch cable. went riding following day shee seemed to pull srong in every gear but second. when hitting second under heavy throttle tires dont even spin, once shifting into 3rd shee goes sideways like shee should be doing. so apparenty the power is not getting to the tires in 2nd gear. not really sure where to go with this. is there a gear that can wear out and cause this problem ??? any help, input, suggestions would be greatly appreciated !!! thanks Joe
  14. thanks for the advice sheefreak i really appreciate. ur shee is sick !

  17. i thought it was odd that on the fmf site they only had them for sst pipes. thought i was gonna have to buy an entire new exhaust. thanks for the help jbooker82. i appreciate it !!
  18. i have to buy an exhaust with spark arrestors cuz im heading to silverlake at the end of august but not sure what exhaust would be an good investment. i currently have fmf fatties with powercore 2's. does anyone make a spark arrestor that will fit on the fattie front pipes? any help would be greatly appreciated ! thanks
  19. ill be heading to silver lake but not till the end of august. wish i could have made it. sounds like a good time. actually i have a question about sikverlake. how strict are they on having spark arrestors there ??? and if its a must what would be a good exhaust system to buy then. thanks for the help!
  20. hey does anyone know the head bolt torque specs for my shee ??
  21. 98 banshee. fmf fatties W/powercore 2. noss head 20cc domes. running like 105 octane at 40:1. fresh rebuild w/wiseco superstock pistons +.040. +4 adjustable timing plate.carbonfiber reeds.boost bottle.tors eliminated. k&n w/ no lid on air box. was running 300 main and 27.5 pilots with air/fuel screws about 2.5 turns out before rebuild. my elevation is about 100 ft. not really sure what i should run for mains or where the air/fuel screws should be with the new pistons. havent finished the rebuild yet but was trying to gather some info ahead of time. any suggestions would be a great help and if anyone knows what this set up would require for jetting at silverlake sand dunes, michigan that would also be appreciated. ill be heading there at the end of august. really looking forward to that!!! thanks Gurnzz
  22. yeah i thought the compression seemed way to low myself so rechecked the comp with a new gauge and was the same. all the orings are good. i think its time freshen up the pistons being that the comp is almost exactly the same on both cylinders. thanks for the reply. i really appreciate ur help !

  25. i just installed a coolhead with 20cc domes and a +4 adjustable timing plate. i know i will have to run a higher octane but what i wanted to know if i would have to use a bigger jet. i have a 300 in currently. Or any other suggestions that i should do concerning the coolhead and the timing plate would be a great help. thanks Gurnzz
