  2. Here in South Dakota, to "street legal" an atv, I had to sign and affidavit with a few things on it like: horn, brake light, mirror, speedo, headlights, tail lights, license plate light, exhuast and at least a 200cc engine. Not sure on your specific state
  3. I run an FMF Gnarly Pipe.. this is my first shee, its a trail rider and I think it has plenty of power.
  4. I run nothing but Klotz products and have had great results. I will not run anything else in my snowmobile, Nitro RC Car, or my banshee
  5. When I baught my first shee in April, it had low compression, only way to start it was to put your hand over the airbox opening. fresh fuel and a quick carb clean might help too.
  6. To me you dont do a "project buildup" based on money. You do it for pride, knowledge, and fun. I baught a used banshee, needed lots of work, I have learned a great deal about this bike. This is my first one, deffinatly not my last one. If you start with a used bike first, you have parts to sell off as there is always someone looking for parts.
  7. no one has said get ride of the boost tube??
  8. Well I was looking over the install guide for some idle screws online, and as I noticed the person forgot to file off some of the material where the lock nut snugs up to. Simple as that, didnt allow the idle screw to go in far enough to make any adjustments.
  9. Problem solved. Seems like the person who had the bike before me that installed the idle screw kit, didnt follow ALL the directions.
  10. Hey guys. Lots of great reading on this forum. I have learned a great amount about my new found passion, my Banshee. Anyways, I have stock carbs, Tors removed and Idle needle kit installed. I am not sure what kit is installed but my idle needles are all the way in and they dont seem to have any effect on the idle. The slides are all the way down and the needles dont seem to be touching the slides at all. Any thoughts or suggestions would be great. Thanks
  11. thanks banshee(911). the tube arrived

  14. I have looked into hourmeter/tachometer's before and it always seemed that 2 and 4 stroke part numbers were different. I would look into the documentation or call RMATV and ask them about it
  15. Thanks for the replies. I will have to do some testing when I get it put back together
  16. the reason I am wondering is, I have a 98 that I recently purchased use. This is my first one and I baught it knowing the compression was low so I did a Wiseco top end and it runs awsome. I was just curious as if I should do the clutch kit too just to have it done
  17. How does one know when its time to install a clutch kit Thanks

  19. Where did you end up mounting the battery? Thanks
  20. If your looking for a project. got the parts. GIT R DONE. Its a project. Not all projects turn out as perfect as one would like. Gives a person something to tinker with. I just got my first shee and I have been tinkering with it since day one. I like it. Good luck with your decision
  21. These LED's on the grab bar will be safe as the 6 pack rack over hangs to protect them. I will add the part number to your post
  22. This is my before/after pictures of my brake/tail light mod on a 98 banshee. For the brake light switch, I got a hydrolic switch from K&S. Tell me what you think Before During Tail/Running light Brake Light
