  1. I am very interested in the Six Pack rack. Let me know if you still have it. Thanks
  2. Well I am still messing around with the jetting on my Shee. I have an 05 with Bills Pipes and Silencers, stock airbox w/ snorkle removed, stock filter, 28mm Keihin PWK's and I run in Central PA (about 1600 ft) at temps anywhere from 50-90. Anyways, I have it running pretty good IMO with 150 mains, 45 pilots, and the needle clip one spot towards the needle point. I have been messing with thing forever and just want to get it right. It sometime fires on the first kick, but sometimes it sounds like it is sucking for air or something and dies out, and I have to choke it. After about 10 seconds I unchoke it and it revs fine. It pulls well at higher RPM's, but seems a little hesitant off the start. I know it was rich with the needle mid clip so I moved it up and it was a lot better. It also seems to run pretty hot. I know the pipes are going to get hot and I am more than likely just worrying over nothing, but just throwing that out there. I checked my plugs after my ride today and they were dark and slightly wet. I know I am running a little rich, but why is it tough to start every once in awhile. Does anyone have and recommendations? Thanks
  3. Just an update on my jetting situation. I have still been dinking around here and there. I went for an extended right last weekend, and was bogging badly at the start. I turned my air screws out to about 1.5 or 2 turns and it seemed to be alright. but still fairly rich. I checked my plugs and they were dark and a little wet. Yesterday I moved my needle down one spot from the middle clip. This seemed to help a lot and it was running very strong. Today I went out and it hesitated to start. It actually fired on the first kck, but would bog and it sounded like it was sucking air, and then it would shut off. I choked it for about 5 seconds and it was good. Ran pretty strong, but it seemed to be less strong later in the run. It was also only about 50 degrees here today as apposed to about 65-75 like before. Would the needle move change it this much? Do you think I am still safely rich so I don't do any damage?
  4. I have a nearly mint full set of Bills Pipes and Silencers on my 05. I am looking to trade them for another pair. I am willing to throw in some cash as well. Let me know if you are interested. I would really like a set of Pro Circuits, but will consider others. Thanks
  5. I finally got my Banshee running with my new 28mm Keihin PWK's. I went for a ride Saturday, and now the damn thing won't quit leaking gas. It is just from the one carb. I took it off, cleaned the shit outta it twice, checked the float level, recleaned all the float shit and it still leaks out of the overflow as soon as I turn the gas on. WTF is this things problem.
  6. I have been checking out the threads on the oil ratios for awhile now. I have an 05, with Bills Pipes, 28 Keihin PWK's and I run at about 1600 ft. I was curious about my oil ratio. I run at 24:1 Yamalube. I see that some say Yamalube sucks and some say they don't. Anyways, my question is if I change my mixture to 32:1 do I need to change anything else jetting wise or anything?? Thanks
  7. PM Sent about the Bars.
  8. I think I finally got it. I took it for a rip today and it ran really good. I ended up with 150 mains and 45 pilots. The needle is mid clip and the airbox snorkle is gone. I only have the air screws out 1/2 turn so I may move up on the pilot and see what happens, but I just wanted to thank all you guys for the help. I am going to be posting some updated pics of my Shee tomorrow. Thanks again.
  9. I may be good then. I was just worried about running hot and melting a piston. I am going to throw a new set of plugs in it today and take it for a rip and see what it does. I will keep younz updated.
  10. I just wanted to add that they are 28MM Kiehin PWK's with the stock needle and I run in about 50-80 degree weather. Like I said it seems to be running good, but there is minimal smoke coming outta the pipes and its hot. Should I move up on the jets or just bump the needle up or just one jet?? Thanks guys.
  11. OK here is an update on my jetting situation. I have seriously messed with this thing from 8AM to about 9PM and I still don't have it dialed in. I have it running good though. It still seems to be getting hot rather quickly though and again that scares the shit outta me. Just so you don't have to search for the specs again, I am running a 2005, with Bill's Pipes, stock reeds, stock airbox with stock filter, but I have just today REMOVED the snorkle, and I am at about 1600 ft above the big pond. I got it running (not just spuddering like before) with 40 pilots and 148 mains, with the needle in the second notch from the top. It ran fast, but got hot quick. I checked the plugs and they looked a bit burnt. I went up to the 150 mains and 45 pilots and moved the needle to the middle clip. I ran it for a little while, and it runs like a beast, but again it is getting hot and the plugs were decent, but still a little bit burnt. What do you guys think I should do from here? It seems to idle and take off pretty well, and has good power all the way up through the gears. The heat issue and plug checks are the only thing that concerns me. How hot do younzes pipes get after a short run?? Please let me know what you think. Thanks again to all for the help. Tyler
  12. That is what I am thinking too. I haven't had a chance to mess with it, but I will def. check the pilots and make sure they are not plugged and go from there. I will keep younz posted. Thanks for the help again fellas.
  13. No I have it on the highest notch if you look at it that way. The notch would place the needle the lowest into the carb? Do I have it backwards here??
  14. Sounds good. Let me know how you make out. It is prolly gonna be about a week til I get to mess with mine some more, but I will let you know how I make out. I just ordered the bigger jets so its a waiting game now. I thought that I would be safely rich too, but who knows. I am going to pull them off and clean them again and just see if it is something dumb. It is not cold here. It has been about 65 to 75 on the days I have been messing with it. Its hard to tell, nothing is easy. haha
  15. Hey man, Thanks for the help. I will try it out. Like I said I think that I am very lean, and just the way it feels it feels like it is starving for gas. I am going to triple check for leaks, and if that doesn't work go up on the main. I will keep you updated. Thanks again.
  16. It is def. not bogging. At first I thought it may be, but it seems to be way lean. It heats up really fast which scares me. do you think I should just go up a size or two on both jets??
  17. I have a few other threads on here about jetting, but I figured I would start again. I just put on my new pair of Keihin 28mm PWK's. I live in Central PA about 1600 ft above sea level. My Banshee is stock other than Bills Pipes and Silencers, and I am running Yamalube 24:1. (May lean it up a bit though). I started with 155 mains and 52 pilots. I pissed with it awhile and it seems to be running very lean. (Pipes get hot very fast, the plugs are staying white, and it just will not take off at all). The air screws are in the back of the carbs so I figured that screwing them in will make it richer. I have had them at 1/2 turn out with no success. I have also dropped the needles to the lowest notch, but still lean. I am just wondering if I am doing anything else wrong to make it run lean. The input that I received on here said that this pilot and main setup would be safely rich, but it doesn't seem to be the case. Where should I go from here. I was also wondering if anything could be done with the idle screws (black plastic spring loaded screws) to make it run more rich. It idles fine, so I figured it wasn't that. I do not think there are any leaks or anything. Does anyone have any idea??
  18. I will try that. I just was running that because that is what the owners manual says to run. I have noticed that everyone on here seems to run 32:1 or so?
  19. The mains are 155s and the pilots are 52s. I got some input on what I should start with from some guys on here. The motor is pretty much stock, except for Bills Pipes and Silencers. I live in Central PA at about 1600 ft. I use Yamalube 24:1. The carbs are synched, I took the air filter out and checked them. I have an update. It is midnight here and I am still pissing with this stinking thing. Anyways, I monkeyed with the air screw and now have it at 1 turn out. The bike still idles nicely, and it seems to have a good takeoff. As soon as I hit midrange though it bogs again. Could this be needle position?/ Somebody please help me out. Thanks
  20. I just got done putting on my new Keihin 28MM PWK's. I also put a new twist throttle setup on the bike. To my suprise, the bike fired up on the first kick and idled nicely. I have the air screws out two turns. The bike is boggin really bad and will not open up at all. I was just wondering if the first thing I should do is let me air screws out another turn or so? It does not seem to have any air leaks or anything. Let me know what you think. Thanks!
  21. I am still looking for some skid plates for my 05. Any and all, but I really need a nice swingarm plate. Please let me know! Thanks
  22. Thanks for the help. I also run 24:1 Yamalube. I looked on the Bills Pipes Site and it recommends with a stock airbox on a Banshee that you are to run 300 mains and 32.5 pilots? That sound sway too rich! PLEASE HELP!!!
