  1. I have some extra plastic that I got with my project Banshee that I do not need an was seeing if anyone else would be interested. I have a complete gas tank shroud, and radiator cover/grille that is from a 1992 Shee. They are a light greenish blue/turquoise color and are in excellent shape. I would imagine that this is kind of rare since it is a one-year color. $40 shipped. I also have a royal blue tank cover that would be from either a 88, 91, or possibly a 98. $25 shipped. I can get pictures if anyone is interested. I am located in PA. Thanks
  2. Got ya. I take it she is a PSU grad?? I like to try to make it to a few games as well. I should be taking more advantage of my location, but tickets get rather pricey when the Lions are having a good year. Sounds good man. It is def. a really nice area. My fiancee and I just decided to stay and live on this side of the mountain to save some big time $$$. I have heard of Beach Creek and I am sure I have been through the area, but never rode at all there.
  3. Nice. Heck I am only about 1/2 hour away from State College. My fiancee works at a dental office in town there. When you do move, if you need some riding buddies let me know. I am always looking for new places to ride.
  4. Tell me about it. It makes me sick too about losing the old atv playgrounds. There are still a few around fortunately, but for how long who knows. I guess we just need to take advantage of them while they are still here. I live near Philipsburg, PA, which has a few old strippings around, but I also go down to Trevorton once in awhile too. I have never been up to Jessup. How is it up there?
  5. Here is a better link. That other one ook forever to load. http://www.atvaction.net/ME2/Segments/NewsHeadlines/Print.asp?Module=News&id=12BC3EFFDB4746C2BCB216CCD927909D
  6. I had to do a little rooting around. haha Here is an article from 2001 that gives the lowdown on them. http://www.atvaction.net/ME2/dirmod.asp?sid=0EA07745106C4076847B5C35C1AAEF2B&nm=Tips+and+Tricks&type=news&mod=News&mid=9A02E3B96F2A415ABC72CB5F516B4C10&tier=3&nid=12BC3EFFDB4746C2BCB216CCD927909D They do exist!! lol
  7. Yeah unfortunately it is getting that way here in PA as well. Just this weekend I was out to the old coal strippings that used to be a badass hillclimb called the volcano. I heard they may have been reclaiming and leveling everything off, and low and behold we came around the bend and found nothing but rolling fields and posted signs.
  8. From what I can remember, Alba took stock Banshees, modified them, sent them back to the dealerships and sold them for a little more than a stocker. You could get a bunch of different options with pipes, jets, nerfs, graphics, and seat covers. I am a sucker for old rare or special edition stuff so I think that is pretty sweet if yours is the real deal. I am really into muscle cars and have a 69 SS Nova and my old man has a 69 Chevelle. The Alba Banshees are prolly the same deal with the only way of truly verifying if it is a real Alba Shee is to have the original paperwork. If you have a title it may say on there. I know a lot of Banshee guys could give a shit less about the stock stuff, but like I said I think its pretty cool. Post up some pics.
  9. Bought an entire engine bolt kit studs and all off of Dave. Great communication/pictures and fast shipping. Wouldn't hesitate buying off of again.
  10. I bought a crankshaft off of Dave at a killer deal a little while ago. UPS was a major problem in the shipping (def. not Dave's fault), but we had great comminication throughout the ordeal and I receieved the crank in better than described condition. Great seller that I would def. buy from again. Thanks
  11. I need the eight (8) studs and nuts that hold the crankcase together. Please let me know if you can help me out. Thanks Tyler
  12. Like the title says I am looking for the eight (8) Crankcase studs/nuts, as well as four (4) of the eight upper crankcase screws. This stuff gets expensive buying from Yamaha so I am seeing if anyone has a set they do not need. I am putting my 87 engine back together and it looks like the previous owner lost them. Thanks
  13. Well like I said, I hung the old crank on the wall and picked one up off of Hilarious for a sweet price. I appreciate all the input on the matter.
  14. haha.. amen to that...I have decided to hang er up on the wall and go with a fresh one...Thanks for all the input and advice. I figured I would get this response posting that nasty ass picture, and deep down I knew what I needed to do with it...but yeah thanks again.
  15. Thanks for the input Dave. Check out the new pic and see what you think. I may be interested in the welded stocker for the right price though. What were you thinking? Like I said I am unfortunately on a tight Banshee budget. haha
  16. Ok guys here is another picture. I got the wire brush after her and it cleaned up pretty decent. It honestly was not as bad as it looked in the first picture. It was mostly surface rust that made it look like a boat anchor. haha There is minimal to no pitting or gouges in the metal, like I said just flat out ugly to look at. haha Try this one on for size. http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee209/novaman_69/022210009.jpg
  17. Hey fellas. I have finally gotten around to tearing apart the engine on my 87 project that I picked up about a month ago. I picked the Shee up mostly in boxes for $500. I have the cases taken apart and am basically checking everything out in the engine and replacing what I need to. The kid I bought the bike off bought it the same way I did and just never got around to doing anything with it. He said that the crank was either new or rebuilt when he bought the bike and was never ran. Well when you check out the picture, you can tell that it was obviously not oiled before being put in storage for 5 years. My question is do you think that the rough finish will hurt the crank. I pulled it, cleaned it the best I could with steel wool, oiled it, cleaned it again blew it out with compressed air, oiled it, etc. The bearings are all tight and the crank seems to roll nice and smooth. I really don't want to buy another crank because I am on a super tight budget, but I also don't want to put this thing back together and have it blow. Please let me know what you think. http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee209/novaman_69/022210005.jpg Thanks
  18. I bought a pair of DG pipes off of Bobby and they were exactly as described if not better. Super fast shipping and a hell of a deal. Thanks again.
  19. Seat is Sold. Still have the plastics if anyone is interested.
