  1. well i am at about 500 feet and want my compression high but not race gas high, so that is like 150 or 160 right?
  2. yea actually i might be interested, what would .20 raise the compression to here. im at 500 or so feet
  3. well without the oil they both were right at 120, i put more in the right cylinder if that could have made a difference. sorry, but what is Imk?
  4. could i get that done locally? Im in fort worth Texas? any machine shop?
  5. I tried putting oil in the spark hole. i put a little in the left side and it went from 120 to at most 125, i put a little more oil in the right side and it went to 150, then to 145, and eventually to about130 or so. I might have put to much, idk? I put more than 2-3 drops. so what do i do?
  6. What is better for the money? milled head or a cool head? Does raising the compression really help that much?
  7. ok ill try that, how do you check the "piston-wall clearance and the ring-end gap clearance"? caliper?
  8. How do i know if it is the port or if the top is shot? I want to raise the compression any way either by rebuild or if that isn't the problem then by a shaved head or something. Doesn't that help with power?
  9. Ok, i have a 2002 shee with a compression or 120. i am at about 500 feet(texas). My mods are reed spacers, v force reeds, 34mm mikuni carbs, two k&n filters, toomey t5s, and what i believe is a mild port. I did not install these mods unfortunately so i am not sure about the port or the last rebuild. should i rebuild. The guy i bought it from said to run race gas but compression is only 120. So where do i start? I was thinking also about getting a shaved head or cool head to raise compression just below the point of needing race gas. Thanks guys! Parker
  10. oh my bad those are in Oregon, any other places we should stop at? Is glamis the "place to go" or is that area of southern california all the same?
  11. ok cool, we were thinking about going west and heading up California to Oregon, how are the Oregon dunes? worth going all that way? And is moab a neat place to visit, i know there arent dunes but can you ride a race atv there or are 4x4s better?

  14. What do you mean jeff at fast? and is it possible to only clip off a couple spirals on the springs? it makes a bad click because there are too many coils in there.
  15. I ruined my carb springs trying to clip them to make them easier. I have mikuni 34mm tm carbs. I bought new springs and i dare say i cant even push in the thumb throttle now . also they make a little click at the very beginning of pushing them in. i think this is due to the fact that the spring is so bunched up in the hole. Any suggestions?

  19. ok, i found that they are Mikuini T34 02E carbs, does that mean 34 mm? what is the 02E?
  20. dang! I have some after market mikuini carbs an my shee and the springs were really tough. I cliped them and streched them only to ruin them :: , where can i get replacements? I am not sure how many mm my carbs are, where do they say?

  22. I have a little problem, on my after market mikuini carbs, The springs are really tough. This makes the thumb throttle extremely tough and annoying to push in. Are there any solutions to this prob? Thanks guys Parker

  25. I retested my compression and it came out to be 120 on each side, that is still pretty low right? and yea my compression tester does hav 2 fittings, one that screws on the other
