Then, call Streamline. RMATV has like 10 different ones on their website for banshee's.
-
This one's for thumb throttles, without TORS: http://www.rockymountainatv.com/productDet...0#vehicleSelect Call RMATV to double check that, though. There is another cable that specifically said it was for stock carbs, but this one didn't.

I bought some music from them one time. I read the protection agreement, and it said something like it could be played unlimited times, but only on the computer it was downloaded to. So, I burned it to a CD in WMA, and then ripped it to the same computer in WMA. The album cover didn't show up in my library, but I was able to get it on my player.

OK, I'm embarassed, but gonna ask...

Sweet. So I could just throw my VF3's, intakes, carbs, FMF's, and Coolhead right on it. Buy some new pistons, rings, and wristpins, and call it a day. My sig has my engine mods. Would it be worth me buying a cub? What's all tha advantages/disadvantages of having one? -
No question! ^^^^^

Something is definitely f-ed up. It should come right off.

I hate doing this on someone else's thread, but I have a question about the cubs. Is CPI the only company making these? If not, I'm guessing that they are the only one that I should buy, huh?. Probably the best bang for the buck. I have a stock cyinder with a 68mm big bore kit and 4mm stroker/long rod, but I am thinking about going monoblock, with the same crank. Not anytime soon, cause this engine is new and I'm cheap, but just for future reference. -

I PM'd that information that you requested. Good luck with everything. Hope all goes well. -
A knock could be a number of things. I heard, and still hear a knock from my fresh 421. It has about 5 hours on it now. I started freaking out when it started. Are you sure it is coming from the lower end. I thought mine was too, until I put a stethoscope on it. Mine was coming from the intake. Not the carbs or the reeds, but the intake. My intake has a crossover tube in it. I don't know if it is just noise within the crossover tube, but it is annoying. I just ignore it. Put a stethoscope on it, and find exactly where it's coming from. If you don't have one, just use a long 3/8" socket extension. Put your ear up to the ratchet end of it, and touch the socket end to different parts of the engine while it's running. You should be able to hear it good like that.

I tried to download it, but it's the Yamaha service manual. Do you have the Clymers?

Wiseco. No question. -
Yea, I quit cold turkey about 8 years ago, because my girlfriend didn't like me smoking. When I quit, I never picked up a cigarette. That sucked. Then, about a year later, I found out my old lady was screwing one of my now ex-friends. The only thing that would take away the stress of it was cigarettes. Been smoking ever since. Now, I have a little one, so I should probably think about quitting smoking again. Even though I NEVER smoke anywhere around him, it would still be a good idea. Glad you posted this. Maybe I'll start quitting today. Thanks for the inspiration.

Yea, there is 2 wires that goes to the thumb throttle. Cut them, strip the ends, and solder and heat shrink them together.
-
I would say 1 tooth bigger on the front. It will stretch out the gears better, and should cause less spin. What kind of mods do you have? Here's a chart for ya. I'm sure a lot of guys on here will tell you to get steel sprockets. They are a little heavier, but last alot longer.
-
Unless you have some BIG domes, I vote time to rebuild. 100psi is really low. Stock bikes have between 125-135, depending on your elevation. What size domes do you have? And, what's your elevation?

The one you have posted is from Trick Racing. That pic is straight off their website. Here's the link. Just click on the custom engine button. http://www.trickracing1.com/home.html

MAN! I can't believe that myth is still lurking around. I just posted the link to Yamaha Europe, on this thread. The 2008 Yamaha Banshee is exactly the same as before. YFZ-350, twin cylinder, 2-stroke. The only difference that I see, is it has orange plastics. Here's the link again: http://www.yamaha-motor-europe.com/product...sure/yfz350.jsp

I'm a Yamaha guy. My little boat has a Yamaha outboard, jet skis are Yamaha, and of course the Banshee. And, they are all 2-Strokes. But, if I had to go with something other than a Banshee, I would definitely go with a YFZ450. When they first came out, I had dreams about that bike. My best friend is in the Army, and just moved to Europe. When and if I get rid of my Banshee, I'll just give him the money to get me a new Banshee, and have him ship it when he comes back. That way, I can be one of the few people with a 2008, or even 2009 Banshee. Link to 2008 Banshee: http://www.yamaha-motor-europe.com/product...sure/yfz350.jsp

Where ya at, man. I'm wanna see those pics, what prep is needed, and which stripper you used.
-
How much do you think its worth...
2001Stroker replied to side_fxxx's topic in General Banshee Discussion
IMO, You'd probably be better off getting it back together and running before you ask this question. Cause right now, it ain't worth much of nothin, unless you part it out. Also, pictures would help. Honestly, if I were you, I would just take my time on it and get the engine in it and running, and put some new plastics on it. Then I would just keep it for myself. But if you wanted to get rid of it, it would be worth alot more. If you decide to part it out, this is a good place to do it. Get some pics up here if you don't want to get the bike back together. I'm sure someone can give you an accurate price. Hell, I'm sure you'll get some good offers on here. -
That definitely looks badass. I just might do that to my radiator, and spray some clear engine enamel on it. What brand stripper did he use?
-
Kaos, Is that the stock radiator that you stripped? Looks good.
-
I just thought about this. My brake lines are stainless braided, but they have a clear rubber coating over them. Maybe you can find some radiator hoses like that. That would keep it from getting snagged. And if they get dirty, just wipe 'em off. I tried to Google it, but didn't look too hard. If you find some, post a link.
-
Diesel fuel has been good to me. Doesn't hurt the rubber, and it cleans just as good as varsol, and treats it pretty good too. WD-40 also works good. Just try to keep it out of the inside of the hoses. It's a pain in the ass to get the inside dried out. You don't want any petroleum products mixed in with your coolant. After cleaning them with one of those, spray some silicone spray all over them and let them sit. Wipe the excess off, after about 10 minutes. I also use silicone spray on the undersides of my fenders. Helps very good when you decide to wash the bike. Dirt falls right off with a water hose.

WOW! That is some funny shit. I can't stop laughing.
