I don't have that many post on here but I just got my first banshee a couple of months ago. then another one last week. I read on here everyday just to learn the in's and out's of my quad's. I getting ready to pay for a premium. Just so I'm helping the site out. I would say if your selling on here atleast have a premium account. Then maybe you will atleast be a site supporter. I got a 87 and a 96 shee and the hubs on the 87 is got a bigger bolt pattern. Just wondered if they were stock for a 87 or have they been changed. Here's a pic. thanks EZ

I use low bars on both of shee's. I feel more in control. No ape hangers for me. LOl

I put new reeds in it last night. Nothing in the pipes. I did notice the one of the slides in the carbs didn't open up all the way. It was about aleast a 1/8 to 1/4 lower than the other. So I set them to be equal. Now the slides are equal. I'm going to put new plug in it today and take it out to see how it runs. I will let you all know thanks EZ

Did another compression with carbs off I get 120 and 115 on them.

To start my shee is bone stock. This is my first banshee. My elevation is between 1100 and 1150. Since I got the bike I never got to ride it much. It has had no back break and rear bearings were fried. So never got to ride. Got all that fixed. I put some dg pipes on it while it was apart. (I have not rejetted the carbs yet, because I'm not positive what to rejet them to.) So here the problem is the quad is down on power so much it won't pull front tires off the gound. IT just doesn't have any power. My old blaster had double the power. It has 100psi on one side and 105psi on the other side.(Is that to low or is fine) I going to put new reeds in it tonight just because I have them. I will clean the carbs and put them back on. This quad starts on the first kick every time even when cold. Let me throw some idea out there and you tell me what your more inclined to think the problem is. 1) carbs 2) carbs not synced 3) needs reringed 4) needs to be bore and new pistions (I don't know if you can bore these jugs or do there have to be resleeved) 5) needs to just be rejetted. (If so what jets should be used with dg pipes at this elevation.) 6) stator or cdi not working right. here's a pic of the plugs Thanks in advance. EZ

I put a set of used dg pipes. Do I need to rejet. The quad seems very weak. It won't pull the front wheels off th gound. I have a new set of boysen reeds, that I'm going to put in tonight and was going to rejet if needed. It seems to top out about 50mph. It starts on first kick every time. Even when cood. One more thing kinda stupit question. When I put the pipes on the pigcock has to be on reserve or the pipe hit's it. Will that effect it. I will ch compression to night. thanks EZ

That not the shock. That one come with it. He put a new on it. I think I going to pick it up tomorrow. Will this engine work on my 96. If I use my stator and cdi. Thinking of having it built up just a little. than put it on mine while I built the crap out of mine.

It's a 87 banshee. Let start with the bad. It's starts but it sounds like one of the pistons is hitting the head. He was riding it and flipped it over and it stayed running. He flipped it back over and rode it in the garage. now it knocks on one side. the good Has a brand new rear shock. ( he said he gave 650 for it. I don't know.) new chain spockets. not on the bike. plus the set on the bike New set of tires and rims Not on bike. plus the set on the bike new reeds and pistons It has been ported. All new rear bearings in the rear sway arm. new breaks he just put 2000 in parts He wants 900 cash and that's he's bottom dollar. What you think.

I have this dvd and It is a something to watch with a open mine.
