My left side FMF sets against the head. Mine rattles when the pipe strikes the head, like anytime it's revved. Check your clearance, just a thought....

I have a 2005 Yamaha Banshee with FMF Gold Seris pipes, a K&N filter in the box and K&N filter vents in the box also.This quad is like new, with blue plastic, Renthal bars, Razr rear tires, about 60% left, and is still on the stock bore. There has not been one motor bolt turned, everything is stock. It has only been jetted for the Pipes and air mods, and a 15 tooth front sprocket (1 over stock)and have the stock sprocket also as well as a twist throttle.It is +2 in the front and back. $3000.00 I live in north texas

You know, I was at Muenster this weekend and the same shit happened to me. Dude in a 2008 dodge 4X4 chromed out, bad ass camper, hot chick and of course a YFZ 450 with 20 billion dollars worth of mods. I mean this dude was cocky. Some other guys were riding 2 strokes as well, a quadracer and a blaster. When I pulled up the 2 stroke guys rolled by with a "what's up", and warned me about the asshole on the 450. Well, as soon as I pulled my banshee of the trailer and fired it up, this dude rode up and complemented my quad, in a sarcastic way. So after talking to him for a minute I fronted him up about marking off a track, cross country style on the back acreage where it's woods and some nice loose dirt. We marked off some trails, rode it about 30 mins and lined up. I got smoked on the start, we started on some real loose dirt, but I expected this, as soon as we hit the woods, where you actually have to RIDE, I passed him and pulled soooo far I couldn't even hear him, came out of the woods and blasted down the only open strait on the track only to see his buddies waving me down. Dude had got crossed up and nailed a tree, HARD!! Bent his shit up bad, and busted his case. He was bruised up and pretty sore, but I pulled his YFZ back with my quad, and did what I could to help. They packed up and left, going to the hospital. Point is, all the $$$ and all the cockyness and all the talk in the world can't make up for poor riding. We didn't get in one fast lap and BAM~!!! I wish offroaders were cool like they were back in the day, man, we all love the same thing, slinging a leg over and rippin' it up. I do my part every time out to try to make as many freinds in this sport as possible, ...........can't we just get along????

Sorry, not trying to rob your thread, but I have been riding for years with the parking brake off and have never added a block off, just left the spring on to hold the lever on the caliper still, never had any problems. Is this dangerous, above reply said to keep safe??? I don't want to die over a $7 part!! I just forgot about it untill now.

Ditch the boost bottle, Mine actually made my throttle response slower and then cracked my boots. I traded with a guy at Muenster for his stock crossover tube, he even gave me 5 bucks...LOL!!!!

Dude , the worst thing ever on a'shee is aftermarket cans on stock pipes, especially when they put the stickers on the bike that came with them. FMF stickers with stock Pipes, yea.....

I have Blue as well, 2005, I rolled mine pretty good and had the same white spots and stress marks. A torch will take most of the white out, not all of it , but you won't notice them unless you look close, especially on the back. I wouldn't try it around bolt holes, I fired up the holes in the front plastic!!! But yea, just slowly heat it up and bend on it a little and poof, white gone!!
