  2. Sorry to butt in here and this is probably a retarded question but does it eliminate the need to buy an adjustable stator plate? Just wondered cause I got one coming from ebay that I think I got a hot deal on.
  3. I have wanted to take a trip to Glamis for years and never did, now my daughter is riding(8 years old) and she wants to go. Ive spent some time around the Cabazon area in the summer and I know its hotter than hell but is it too hot for a kid and are the holiday weekends too wild? What do they got in the beach store? I dont want to get out there and be the only 2 people in the whole desert either. I want her to have a good time but I'd also like to have some girls around for me!!!
  4. I I think I'll keep em for now and see how I like them. They must be older shocks cause the chrome is flaking off the springs.I'd like to either get them re chromed or somehow get the rest of the chrome off and powdercoat them.
  5. I bought another Banshee over the weekend and its got PEP triple rates all around. Does anyone know if these are any good and how they may compare to others for durability?
  6. I bought a what they claimed was a used 4 mill crank off ebay a while ago. I came with a plate but there are no markings or numbers on the crank so Im not sure how to identify it and it needs to be taken apart anyway.I didnt know what kind of a job it would be to drop one in so I wasnt going to do it but mabey I should. I would just buy a new one if I were to do that.Thanks.

I dont want to start asking the same questions that have been answered a million times but Im looking for some good suggestions on the specific mods you think I should do and what can really be expected from them. No bullshit please, I dont have the time or money to waste on things that wont perform. First off what I looking to end up with is a machine that can be used for hardcore trail riding (like gncc) but I want to get as much acceleration out of it as possible and still keep it very reliable. Basically have a stock machine with pro circuit pipes.I of course want a cool head and aftermarket impeller,ported cylinders(is there really a big difference between trail/dune port and drag port)Possibly a big bore kit?(not a cub or t-rex, dont have jack for that)What pistons are good and what are not,What are the best carbs(pwk or mikuni and what size)etc. I just want to know what you think the best combination is and what brand of parts I should go with(like the head). I cant get a stroker crank right now and Im not sure I even want one but I dont mind spending the money on good parts as long as I end up with a machine that will preform reliably day after day and have enough power to actually get me excited again(scared would be nice).My goal is to be able to pull the front wheels in the first few gears and go like a bastard. Thank you.
