Makes sense. Side note: not to stray off topic but if u do manage to cloud a lens it can be reversed very easily with mothers chrome polish and a powerball very easily. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk

Tricked, do u feel it would actually break it down that quickly? Ive never had any issue's with it, but then again im not dunking it into a vat either. Been using brake cleaner for a good 20years and never witnessed any dissolving issues. Has me curious now
-
Does appear very similar aye!
-
Brake cleaner for the win. X2 on clear covers though, unless you like a glazed donut look $20 mistake

Was the lower compression side the side the reed got sucked into?? This may have just gotten expensive. You really need to know where that went man. Was it completely missing?

Demonstrate on your bike :-) carbon build up has absolutely nothing to do with his issue, nor would putting anything on the header do anything whatsoever about removing carbon. Save that sarcasm and bs for bhq fb or huge moron Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk

Ignore that unless u plan on making fried bologna.

Oh wow, torque spec=kung fu grip. Nicely executed

Am curious how u managed to snap them off half way as well lol never seen that before. If anything they usually twist in half at the base.

You can replace head studs not a big deal. Replace ALL of them not just the broken ones. If you can run a die over the messed up ones to chase the threads, take a head nut run it down as far as u can. Take another one and run it down to the top of the first one. Back the first nut off counter clockwise. Most efficient way to remove a stud.

Weak or intermittent spark could very well cause an issue like that, either way if you have a rats nest of wiring I would suggest doing something about it as it will only cause more headaches down the road trying to trouble shoot issues.
-
http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=171455&page=1 I would save yourself the headache of fiddling around with that if your fairly new to it and just replace. Unless you like tinkering with wiring, personally I do not.

Good, the price of a head gaskets well worth the piece of mind knowing a pistons not deteriorating. I would put the head back on, perform a leak down test to check for possible air leaks from the bottom up, if it passes that your carbs are clean and slides are in the right direction, stator is free of excess dirt/rust/muck, pickup gap on stator to flywheel is set correctly then I would look further into the coil being the issue. You had mentioned the key was deleted?? Are the wires cut and connected directly to one another or is it just jumped from one peg to the other with a piece of wire? If its jumped thats a dead short waiting to happen

Take the spark plug boots off.. trim the wires back more exposing the uncovered wire. Re-crimp them and see if that makes any difference, this is solely speculation in response to your comment about possibly only one side having spark.
-
Try taking the plug boot off trimming the wire, re-crimp.. Was never really a fan of the screwdriver test. Can be misleading.

The 110/115 compression is a tell sign something's going on in there or fixing to, they should wear evenly. Thats not to terribly low if its a factory chambered head? Elevation? Ive seen a handful of bikes go from running fine to bogging out as if running out of gas, to melted piston within a few short minutes. You said it seems to be getting spark from only one plug? How did you determine this?

Need to replace a tank on one of my bikes. Doesn't have to be pretty just functionally sound with GOOD THREADS. Do not need pet cock unless its a dual feed. Thanks
-
I'd be for looking at the piston/cylinder. Sounds like a piston is breaking down.
-
Lol what are you guys trying to spin that endmill at out of curiosity?? You should be able to cut that just fine with HSS if your going at it correctly.

Always cool to see fellow riders nearby. I work in wichita, have lots of random shit laying around my garage if you need something don't hesitate to ask! Side note: I drive to carbondale Illinois once a month for the old lady, not a pleasant drive. Welcome to Kansas -
Tool needed to trench cases... $3,000,000 Ingersoll powermill, lots of bells and whistles, NO arthritis involved Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk

Why in the f*** are u people getting bent out of shape over others asking questions? This site would literally shrivel up and die if nobody did so?? Yet ya complain about people asking similar stuff as previous posts? That IS the backbone of this. New people join, old riders retire. Push the new out due to smartass remarks and blasting idea's?? Wtf is that about, I dont see where its constructive to tell an individual basically "your wasting your time" send to builder "X". Were the builders wasting time when they started off? The answer is no, I dont pick sides never will. Love this site but sure as shit shouldn't be people bashing others its bad business...PERIOD E.L.E

I never expected a pristine product as for what price was paid. Did however think maybe they'd be usable which clearly they are not. I have multiple rides, buying top notch shit for all of them isnt in my budget or best interest. The bike these were purchased for might get rode four or five times a year generally by women.Just exploring avenues which this one is obviously a dead end.
