  1. its a toomey t6 kit stock except boost bottle 1250 feet above sea level its real cold like minus 35 celcius uni air filter with air box vents and no snorkel and stock carbs plugs look a bit rich and is also blowing a bit of black
  2. just rebuilt the carbs again and it runs a little better but still doesent want to go on the bottom end with the chock in after its warmed up i have 280 mains 25 pilots and needles on 4th clip with air screws 1.75 out it works a little better now but still stumbles on the bottom it will idle but then dies when trying to touch the throttle. i have the fuel mixed at 32:1but the silencers slacked off and there is a far bit of black on the silencers i tightened them up and tried again. but do u think i need to bump the pilots up and change plugs and lean it out a bit? thanks
  3. thanks guys i got her all fixed up i took it apart and cleaned everything. I took the choke apart and cleaned and oiled it and reset the float levels and turned th air screws out 1.75 turns instead of 1.5 put it together and it runs mint. thanks guys for the help
  4. well thought i would give it another listen and it is popping louder in the right cylinder. it has to be the choke it just has to be lol has this happened to any one? i want to try and have it running good because there is an ice race down by edmonton in feb thnks
  5. hey man thanks you have been a huge help i will shoot an email tonight after work. when they trued your crank doe that get rid of most of that vibration you get at low rpm im new to the banshee thing with twin carbs i raced 125's for 4 years and they are as simple as it gets and besides that man the only carbs ive worked on is holley 4 barrels haha
  6. i pulled it apart and everything seems fine i tried the yamaha dealer here for new pilots and all they had is 30's so where should i order them from? oh and do u think i should up the mains to a 300 while i have it apart this time? i hope this works out if it doesent next time im putting the carbs back to stock and try it and go from there. and where is the best place to get a decent aggressive woods port done thanks.
  7. well i will order the pilots tomorrow but this far north it will take a week or so oh that and there is only about 6-7 hours of sun light and i work all of them lol but i will be trying to get it apart oh and the slides are right and i only did one carb at a time. and it idles fine wit the choke in but as soon as i touch the throttle it wants to die on me as soon as i get the pilots i will change them out and try it. the thing is really loud now it sounds awsome but doesent work like it should i have to run it half choke! so the ride i got on it was only about 100 yards

  9. well guys i did every thing the kit said and it told me to keep the stock mains and i was to put in 280 and needles on 4th clip. and 1.5 turns out on air screw it sounds good at idle but runs best on half choke? thats my problem oh and the dent came with it lol right out of the box. tomorrow i might pull it all apart again and see what is going on with it. would that choke tube going from carb to carb have something to do with it? thanks oh and i work crazy hours so it will be hard to get this done and the more input the better!!!!!!
  10. kit went together smooth and the pipes look awsome minus the very small dent that it has but i cant get it to run right. First- The choke seems to pull out to far and is kind of hard to pull Second- It takes 5 to 6 kicks instead of 1 or 2 to get started but stays running with choke out and no throttle " it needed throttle before to keep running" Third- once choke is in it will idle fine but die when gas is applied " but will run at high rpm" forth - it will drive around allright with the choke pulled out 1 notch " but not like it should" what does this meen could i have busted th choke or something any help is appreciated thanks guys

Oh and i am wondering if there is a good place to order them from. i ordered a set of toomey t 6's and a noss cool head with 20 cc domes allmost a month ago and still havent recieved them. but i have tracked them down and they are close but it took so long i would like to get these parts before im 40

  13. I have already messaged elka and works i am currently waiting for a reply for pricing and shipment questions but i just heard that there is a better turning radious and i am also wondering what arm to use?
  14. i want to widen the shee with aftermarket a arms and shocks but i seen the yfz conversion. I dont really want to start hacking my bike together but it looked like with the yfz setup with hubs and spindles it got a better turning radious. i am just going from what i am reading on her and if that is true i will go with that setup because i ride aloy in winter down old fire roads in the winter wide open drifting like a flat tracker but also ride real agressive in the woods and on the track in the summer and am just looking for opinions. oh and would it be better to use an after market yfz arm or stock? money really isent an issue i just want a better steering radious and a wider bike if possible. thanks
