  6. Thanks for posting. Anybody have any information in regards to getting a bike like this legal here in the US?
  7. thanks for your reply 711
  8. I have a bottom end that i have yet to part with from a banshee. I would image id definetely want the RZ trans instead though, for the motor i think a stroked cheetah would be appropriate.
  9. Hello HQ. Ive been thinking of something. Im toying with the idea of wanting a streetbike so I can go riding with a couple friends. I dont want to buy into one of the new 4t bikes really, but i would like something with updated suspension and something more current than buying an older smoker ( but thats definetely an option also) I know there was a person here i believe at one time that took a newer steetbike chassis and reworked it to accept the RZ/banshee motor. I would think a 600cc chassis would be ideal. I think this motor would be a perfect 2 stroke platform due to the power potential compared to say a 500cc single cylinder. I just want to discuss and hear some thoughts on the subject, I am not able to fabricate custom parts but i do have people that could. Would i be able to get a bike like this legalized/past emmissions? Thanks guys, I think this would be a really sick project, let me know your thoughts and opinions. Mike
  10. I could use the extra cash so im wanting to sell my ContourHD helmetcam. Captures video in SD 480p and HD 720p. Comes with SD memory card, battery, usb cable, google mount and flat surface mount. I purchased this brand new and have used it a couple times. Would take $200 shipped. Heres a video I took with the camera.
  11. Where at in northern kentucky
  12. Fortunately your very wrong, parts can easily be found for Yamaha Banshee and to make it better most of all the parts are the same from 87- current which makes it even better. As far as getting parts at the dealership, its going to depend. Around here I think most people have switched to the new 4 stroke bikes and quads, so once the dealer ran out of stocked parts and no one is buying them anymore there is no reason for them to buy them and stock them.. I goto the dealer for small things on my bike, but any big part purchase I will usually shop online and find the best deal on what I need. Mike
  13. Sold to alky girl. Thanks.
  14. $175 shipped, still stands. Any takers?
  15. They can only be as reliable as the owner is.
  16. Man it sucks to hear this DM, I would be so pissed off. Keep your eye on craigslist.
  17. lol
  18. I inspect the top end after breaking the motor in, to me I think that is the most critical point to perform an inspection. I think booker's idea on keeping a comp. log is a good idea. Tearing the motor down after every ride is overkill in my opinion, but it depends on how often and hard you ride.
  19. I have a good straight frame. Could use blasted and re-powdered. Stock frame with stellar subframe. If your interested send me a PM and I will get you pictures and a price.
  20. sandrage is correct, uses the warrior balljoints. You can find them on ebay. I cannot help you out on the balljoint modification you speak of. Mike
  21. Lonestar made/offered aftermarket J-arms at one time which were more of a D-arm as everyone is speaking of. I bought a set a long time ago but never ended up using them. IMO they felt a bit heavy but were stout in every which way as far as design. They are discontinued, have not ever seen a set since I sold the ones I had. Tim @ Stellar does make some nice looking J-Arms.
  22. This is interesting, im tuned in.
  23. Use an impact driver to get the screws out without stripping them. Degreaser and water should be fine, wont get them as clean and quick as a parts washer. The rod can have some side to side movement but I would have someone check it out before casing it back together. Mike
