  1. 4 mills are junk new. Trinity sells them and they are set up to destroy themselves. 465 cub makes more power than a 485 cheetah with same torque for WAY LESS money. Some people have strong running 10 mill (535) cheetahs. But from what I have seen the HP/CC ratios are still lower than cubs. ANY cheetah kit requires serious mods from a knowledgeable builder to be worth a shit.
  2. It's not a simple answer. The peak rpm changes between In-frames and OOF's. Depending on compression, dome design, port timings and even port angles will determine the power. There isn't a promise of more power with OOFpipes.
  3. It's a 4 mill cheetah........it was junk when new. That's why it blew itself to hell and gone. LOL Now somebody got all mad scientist machinist on the thing trying to put humpty dumpty back together again.
  4. O-rings blown, studs pulled out and helicoiled Yep Trinity Detonation as usual. $200 is pretty steep to pay for aluminum scrap metal.
  5. Go with a round carrier arm.
  6. 50 posts......covered!
  7. ^^^ Chariot Chain tensioner......till the chain snaps and whacks the cases.
  8. As is tuned by owner 60-65 HP Dyno tuned or tuned by builder 65-70HP
  9. +4 Stroker crank. You can go to a blaster piston and jump into that bigger size with the stock cylinders. +6 arm.
  10. They did a lead remediation project in the flat drag area and afterward built a huge stone creek bed to carry water thru the park during flood season. That creek bed goes right thru the old drag area. There are still some really long flat open areas to drag......but I would never bother ti bring my 10mill cub bike down there to drag it. I'll stick to real dunes for that bike. But the trails are SO AWESOME that I couldn't imagine wasting good ride time with any serious dragging. We line the bikes up 5-6 times, but we get plenty of that kinda riding Silver Lake.
  11. Yeah....WTF....where's my tracking number? LOL
  12. Owned a set. Found them very comparable to Toomey T5's. For YOUR situation I can see the value of using them given their stainless construction. Yes I hate Trinity. ...but I'm not blinded by that hate.......it's a hate fed from actual experience. Having spent the extraordinary amount of money they charge for pipes, I really was hoping for more noticeable power than the T5's they were replacing. Sadly the only plus I found with those pipes was the stainless finish. But it sounds like (for YOUR situation) they may be an ideal choice.
  13. Ok….I'll take unit # 002 I don't even need to cool ghost flames on the cover.
  14. My bad…..I was looking at the wrong month. Ok ^^^ As he clarified July 26-27-28 (Weekend after my JULY trip) LOL
  15. No. Just No. The best pipe is whatever pipe your running now…... Whatever pipe was on the bike that beat you last…... Whatever pipe is hard to find with very little feedback…... Whatever pipe was on your "Old Banshee that you sold…but was always so crazy fast"….. Or Snipers….only because hardly anyone runs them so you can appear original. Plus they are worth 10 extra HP in a debate…..
  16. I've got a few Silver Lake Dunes dates listed now. The HQ ride used to be the same weekend as my June trip (June 20-21-22) But that has become the Long Travel sand car weekend at Silver lake. So they started planning the HQ ride for the (27-28-29) Fouledout421 usually gets that ride organized.
  17. I'd run what you own. (Like everyone else does) Then if the bike runs at all you can tell everyone how you ran BB pipes on a motor that SB pipes were specifically designed for and they worked. You won't have anything to compare them to…….So you can tell everyone they worked great. (Kinda like everyone else) LOL Or….you can call the guy that designed and built the pipes and he'll tell you what a bad idea it is and how much more you can make with the right sized pipe. Or…..decide to "Try them and see" Like everybody else does………..
  18. ^^^^These Or have you tried a philips screwdriver? Works great for me.
  19. I'll tell you this right now…..You go out to the shop and start cranking these out as fast as you can and you'll NEVER get caught up. Or…..Three weeks from now JDS will have a prototype of his own based off this design.
  20. Right......you have been holding a fire sale for the last 3 months! Do you even have anything left to build?!?! LOL You sold off that 10 mill Serval before you even got it running good. Now your building a 20 mill DM???? Just bring something that you will own long enough for the smell of packing peanuts to wear off. LMAO
  21. Babes and Banshees......either way, all we care about is seeing the box.
  22. It's January! If you don't have a plan in place to have one running by April......then lets get you a plan. LOL What do ya need? I'm obviously "All In" for this ride (since I planned it) But as stated, sometimes depending on weather we might need to defer to the May date. But I like the idea of trying to get a good group plan in place now with April in mind. Glad to see others this eager to ride so early in the year. Put me and at least 3 others from my usual crew in on the head count. (Wes, Bill and Chris)
  23. Duh, yur lean.
