Another guy who thinks water is sticky....... Those slides have springs on them to close them. Water is not stronger than those throttle springs.Your issue is poor throttle cable, grit in the carbs that wasn't stopped by the fiter or TORS unit binding up.

Shearer sb inframe or cpi sb inframe?
WINDYCITYJOHN400 replied to DBR06Banshee10's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
X2 ^^^^ I would go with Rocket pipes. Makes bike sound like a real bad ass rocket. Then do the dime mod. I did them all. I even tried the 5 dime....but I thought the 4 dimes worked the same and sounded even better. -

Waiting for the next tweet of info...... More details? -
Well....the "early" pro design units had a smaller filter than they do now. If the filter seems like it REALLY doesn't fit till you snug the hoseclamp down alot....you might have to wrong filter for that model intake. As always....I say ditch the airbox and run pod filters.

+2 +1 aftermarket A arms good ones vs bad ones?
WINDYCITYJOHN400 replied to DBR06Banshee10's topic in Suspension
Unless you NEED a heim for an adjustment reason like on a full race bike application, I would stick with a traditional bushing ball join set up. Heims are noisy and make a bike sound like a piece of shit that mihht be stored outside under a tarp. Lube them and the lube just attracts dirt. Every squeek you hear is wear. Tought to impress people with a machine if every fidget you make causes a high pitched metalic squeek. LONESTAR SPORT ARMS FTW! -
God damned epic hilariousness.

Stay away from arms with heim joints. -
Buy any brand Anit-vibe stem. Then you buy the one for THAT stem. (My Banshee has the IMS-ROLL +2 Anti-vibe stem) The stock Banshee stem has different mounts, so you NEED an Anti-vibe stem to use this system.

On an MX track…..they will walk on you in the corners. but in the woods and trails…..with a new suspension, your bike will be more comfortable for a full day of riding, you'll have more power and be able to add power for way less money. Let those haters hate. Just be sure to hit the brakes on the trails as you come up on some thick mud so you can stack those guys up on your tail…..that way you can mark up all those haters with your roost as you out run them to the next stopping point. Then at the end of the day you can bring up how you would have let someone else lead…….if they had ever gotten in front of you. Lead dog doesn't sniff ass all day. LOL 4- strokes eat Banshee roost!

Ok…..I looked at my ALLOY BOLTS complete Stainless bolt kit that has all every nut, bolt, and washer needed to fully assemble a Banshee. The shipping weight of that entire kit is 9 pounds. So if Titanium could shave 1/2 the weight off your bolts…..you would drop 4 1/2 pounds off the bike total. (I shudder to think what a complete bolt kit in titanium would cost.) But at least he's offering a good, extra strong, light replacement for those factory suspension bolts.

WAAAAAY easier to make adjustments. Allows for more adjustment when it come to chains and gearing choices. TONS lighter! I love the idea of the steering stabilizer. I run them on everything. A stick style will work out fine for you. (They are all basically the same…..Moose has a low price) Instead of Fast Flex bars…..Go with a +1 or +2 anti-vibe stem (I like the +2 but I'm 6' tall) Then look at the Precision Handlebar Suspension. It's cheaper than flex bars and works WAY better. You don't see a lot of Banshee guys run them…..But I bought an 09' YFZ450R and it had them on it. Can't believe how much of a difference it makes on the abuse your wrists/body gets from the bars. One good tree root in your trail and a decent speed and you'll know why a bar suspension and steering stabilizer are priceless!

Ain't goin' ta war son…..just killin' douchebags. Hell, if Obama can ignore our Constitution……ZERO would be the fucks I give about a Geneva Convention. Up armor now before the UN/New World Order troops show up to start the cleansing.

Fronts - Go with ELKA Stage 3's or don't even bother. You wanna get the ones you can adjust compression on at the least, otherwise just go with a WORKS shock. Rear - You can stick with the factory shock or get the factory rear re-valved and freshened up and it will be fine. If you have the cash, Getting the Rear ELKA will be nice, but it's a luxury you might not need for your riding. +2+1 A-Arms with ELKAS FTMFW! DO IT!!!

Well I'm sure if you added them all up it might equal the weight of a cheeseburger………So in theory, you could take a crap and drop the same amount of weight. But I was just curious what the cost per ounce was going to end up at. No doubt they look sweet. But I'm running mostly stainless fasteners all around on the bike. So until I can fall in lust with the overall weight savings…….I have no reason to fall head over heals for Titanium. But I'm trying!
-
So…like any good Banshee owner….. you chose to address your small issues in the off-season and use them as a catalyst for a full bike makeover. SWEET. NOTE: Keyser just picked the easy way to upgrade a bike……pull it all apart and use all new parts to put it back together. LOL Happens even time I do anything more than a cleaning.

Order up a pair with holsters. You'll look like Yosemite Sam.

Banshee reving high after going through water
WINDYCITYJOHN400 replied to Newcs222's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Ok…..EVERYONE can do whatever you want. Free country. I simply stated that I can ride around in some pretty serious shit with pods. I've ridden in water deep enough to cover the tops of my boots. Granted, I'm not pinned in 4th gear…..but if your blasting through big puddles or large areas of standing water and you're doing it at high speed without knowing what lies beneath the surface…..well, good luck with that. Now a couple of quick points - If your bike is bone stock…..run the air box with the lid..…who gives a crap. If your bike has pipes….the air box lid will actually hinder performance. (In other words…jetting for lid off would need to be different than with lid on. If you can't feel the difference….than your jetting is off entirely) If your bike has more mods….the box itself and the filter design begins to be an issue. (Even with the lid off) If you have porting, stroke, big bore, aftermarket cylinders or any combo of those….the air box is a killer. So I'm speaking from the perspective of having NOTHING in my stable of Banshees that makes less than 63HP. So if I run a box on anything…..all the mods are a waste. If you have anything more than pipes…..the box is cutting into the power. If you are aware of that and don't care…..neither do I. Carry on boys. -
removing wheel bolts from front hubs?
WINDYCITYJOHN400 replied to Banshee350cc's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
With the costs of new studs and (if you don't have access to a press) the cost of labor.....just buying some different hubs might be cheaper.
