  1. There are two weld beads that have to be cut. I have done it with an angle grinder with a cut off wheel. There are also 1-3 spot welds that could be drilled out or just take the cutoff wheel and cut between the shock mount and the headlight bracket.
  2. I had a set of yfz's on stock a arms and +2's and I did not like them. I got a used set of works on ebay and sent them to Matt at Socal. The ride is so much nicer. I think I payed like $250 for the shocks and the rebuild. It was well worth the money. I would love to ride on a set of elkas just to see what the ride is like tho
  3. How do you like the shearers on you serval? I am having a hard time deciding between cpi's or shearers. Does anyone have pictures of cpi's?
  4. Cut them off and weld them on the new frame.
  5. There is a big difference between a molded tore and skat traks. There is a reason everyone recomends spending the extra money on them. Look for a used set on craigs list if you are trying to save some money.
  6. How well do your airfilters fit in there?
  7. I did not say I disagreed with you that 22 would be safe. I was just stating what I had done and had no problems. I got my info from noss machine website. Noted that they are approximates but "21's" should be ok. Not saying they will be though. 8. Almost the heads use the same domes. ( cant come up with the one that is differnt. I think it starts with an a)Chariot uses the same domes as pro design and noss. The reason I said 21's is bc I am at 600 ft and used 20's with no problem.
  9. Can someone please take a few pictures of there cpis and shearer stinger tubes and how they route. With the new serval motor it is making my t-5's squeeze my air filters a little more than before. I am just wondering how they would fit.
  10. At sea level 21's are as low as you can go without race gas or partial race gas.
  11. The steels dont have to be replaced. You could use the oem steels. It is not like they wear out.
  12. If it slips get another one. There is more adjustment on the clutch it self. You just have to make sure your arrows are lined up on the case. Dont buy the OEM one. You can get a much better clutch for $100 or less. Jeff at F.A.S.T. has a nice clutch for around $100 ebc makes a good clutch also for around the same price but I think you would be very happy with the tusk clutch for $50. I have used a toomey clutch for a few years and have been very happy with that. It was about $100.
  13. If the clutch works fine why are you replacing it? How do you know it is worn enough to replace it? On a mostly stock banshee I would use a Tusk clutch they are only like $50. I used one on my ported 350 and it worked great. How much is an oem clutch?
  14. Yup. That is what I have in there now but wont be able to check til the weekend.
  15. I think I will start around a 160-165. And go from there. I will post what it ends up being.
  16. Ihave got a few things from him. Quality was sub par. Never looked like the picture.
  17. Do you still have the pipes and how much
  18. Still looking for some
  19. I just got the motor together and am going to start working with the jetting. I am kind of looking for a starting position. The carbs are 33mm pwks with clamp on k&n's. The pipes are t-5's (Not what I want and will change soon enough) Elevation is ~800 ft. I was told the main would probably end up around a 155 but that does not make sense to me because that is what I was at with my ported stock stroke. Does around a 155 make sense? And where should I start with the pilot? I think i have a 48 in there from before.
  20. I don't know I did not ask. It came as a kit for with a serval.
  21. The weld for the most part looks good except for where it ended it just sticks up a little farther. I will try and post pictures. I am at work now and only have one picture.
  22. So I should be ok removing some of the weld and checking the runout in the crank?
  23. My consern never was overheading. It was would the 400F hurt my cylinders. I dont know much about the nikasil plating. I would assume it would not be a problem but just wanted to ask.
