  1. I wouldn't do something like porting myself man, never.... you might want to reconsider it.
  2. I don't like mixing it with other oils period. Don't plan on it... and never did. Matt, I think he might be the one passing out the info around here. Skeeter motors down behind Gezzis. He did my buddy's motor 4-5 years ago and told him the same. He went from Klotz to Golden Spectro after Skeeterz built his motor for him.
  3. What mixtures are you guys running in gas and alky? I'd be curious to see more replies. I really like the stuff, but even some guys locally say it gums up the works. But some of these same guys don't watch things closely. I have seen a kid around here mix his own gas, let's say 32:1 which I think it was with Klotz Supertech, And the same day go buy Maxima K2 in the purple bottle I think and mix it 40:1 and throw it in the same tank with a half tank of the 32:1 Klotz. That will mess things up I bet. But running it straight, with the same consistency seems to work good for me so far. I am going to stock with 32:1-36:1 on my bike through this top end build, and see what it looks like in a year or two. I only run my bike from May through the end of August due to our Archery season for deer starting up the beginning of October here in Pa. I need to get ready for that. But I definately put enough time on her in that time period through the summer months. So I will see what happens... But anybody else have comments on this product? You really can't beat the smell either, but that doesn't even matter. But I like it alot because of other things, the smell is just a HUGE bonus lol
  4. I use the stuff... and I love it. I hear great things about it. I ran it through the bike for a year with my old 2 into 1 setup, and the top end was in awesome shape after I tore it down to have the jugs ported. In this bike, I never ran anything else. I was considering Castor 927, but never switched. I love the way it smells, and even more, I love how it has all the good lubricants. And it seems to really mix well compared to others I have seen. But then I hear a few guys talking about how it gums up the works. I remember it was either Jim at Passion, or Jeff at F.A.S.T, that said Klotz motors were some of the ugliest they ever did. But I didn't see an ugly motor before the teardown. And the guy who had it before me had 20 hours on the top end using Klotz. AndI had some time on it too. A whole summer's worth of riding it on the weekends. The top end looked great, and I was mixing AT THE TIME 40:1 using 100 octane. I now obviously have a completely different setup, not even the same bike anymore. But still use Klotz Supertech at 32:1 or 36:1 with 105 octane. And the motor runs great. But what do you guys have to say about this stuff? Is there any downfalls to it? I can't see any myself. But for the guys who use it, or have in the past, what do you guys think? Most seem to think it is good stuff, but it just got me thinking when I remembered the time I read that on here from one of the big time motor builders.
  5. For $900... you got yourself a nice ride. Can't beat that for sure Welcome to your new home
  6. 48 or 50 is good. And with that CEL needle, it should have you close. Try the air screws 1/4 turn at a time, giving her time running/idling, about 10 seconds, to get used to the new setting. Just play around with it and find what is best. But the 42 pilot is too small for sure. And with a 48 or 50, I'd say 48 in your case... the CEL on 3rd or 4th clip should do it with air screws between 1-2 turns out. Just have to play with the screws to find what works best. How's the top end once you are on it hard? Bogging? I am only running a 158 at 1200 feet in 70-80 degrees. If it is bogging, and not pulling hard, you are too rich and need to bump that down to a 155. But sounds like that's not the case. Put the CEL in, with it on the 3rd clip, and air screws 1.5 turns out. And try 48 pilots. That should get you in the ballpark.
  7. You are too lean now after the switch... try the CEL on different clip positions. And your pilot at 42 is way too small.
  8. I got a Pro Design and stock head that are laying around here. Dome size on the Pro Design is 19cc
  9. The bike was running good too... I was next in line to line up at the light with another ported 'shee and they cancelled...
  10. We got rained out... Rained for 3 minutes, and they couldn't dry the track in time... had us there for 4 hours thinking they would though. Next Friday I guess, maybe not.
  11. Thanks Josh... I put a 15 tooth on the front with the 41 in the rear. I am going to run the 20" razr's since it is only 1/8th
  12. Outta here in about 30 minutes... Hopefully see some four pokes down there, show them that the banshee is still king and never outdated
  13. 160 mains run a little rich on her... I switched to 155-158's, currently have 155's in for the drags tonight 50 pilots CEL needle on 3rd clip air screws 1.5 turns out Plugs gapped .020 Pickup gap on flywheel .017 today 116 Maximal leaded CAM2 mixed half and half with 93 Sunoco
  14. I ended up getting the FMF 2 stroke pink performance stuff. Was enough in one bag to do both. She smokes a little, but I didn't rip with her yet. Just started it and revved it a little. But it sounds good, and it really needed it.
  15. Yes, mine is fixed.
  16. If that is the case, and you knew that before you came and asked us.... with the jugs not being the ones that came on it... DON'T BUY
  17. And if he does get f'ed, the bike can be parted out for much more than 2k for the list up on page 1...
  18. How do you guys know they are the jugs that came on the bike? lol
  19. Alot of the crotch rocket fellers and the biker guys are al ittle upset from what I hear due to the fact they can't really run their bikes to potential at that distance.
  20. Yea, that's the whole reason I want to make a few passes. It isn't that bad being 1/8th on friday nights.
  21. If that's the case, then they only run the quads and bikes 1/8th... I couldn't see them running sprint cars and draggers less than 1/4, it wouldn't make sense. But the quads are 100% 1/8
  22. About time you post something... Like others have said, lose the boost bottle. Either put the stock cross over back on, or get a new intake. In terms of the degree key, many are against it, but many, in our area too, run them without any problems. I personally like peace of mind, so I got the timing plate instead. It is adjustable, so if your bike doesn't like +4, you can adjust to +3, +2, +5, +6, etc. Most banshees feel good on +4. Mine likes anywhere from +4.5 through +6. Either the Grarly's or the fatty's are good. I like the grarly as you know. Just a sick sounding pipe, and everyone around us has fatty's. And you gotta port that bitch... no mod will get you more power, no mods combined. Especially if you have someone that knows what they are doing do it. Noss heads are the only way to go... PERIOD. Great quality, and power increase will be there too. Depending on what ytou want in terms of power, you can bump your dome size on the Noss head down to 18cc or 17cc like me, and run race gas to get more power with higher compression. Most guys around us will run 19cc or 20cc domes to run pump 93. Either is a good choice, but you can't get the race gas on weekends... only bad thing. I always make sure I have it so I don't run out. Get a compression tester and keep an eye on your cylinder PSI. That will tell you what gas you need to run. With +4 timing, and 19 or 20cc domes, you will b e able to run pump gas for sure. General rule of thumb is <150PSI is good for pump gas. My bike has 185PSI, and it is calling for around 105-108 octane, but 105 is showing good signs right now. So I think I might stick with it. The compression tester will also tell you when you need a top end rebuild.
  23. What domes are you running, and what is your compression? That will tell you what gas you need to run. We took my pickup coil down to .016 and gapped the plugs to .020 insted of the standard right out of the box gapping. I am running 105 octane and it plain out rips now.
  24. Technicality... gotta love it
