  1. Hello, Iam going to install aftermarket +2 LT a arms. But firstly, I have to remove the old, stock ones. I succesfully removed them from the frame, but now I dont know how to remove them from the brake. Pics of the prolem: Loctation of the problem: http://rs21tg.rapidshare.com/files/93705949/1.jpg I need to remove the part 1(blue) from the part 2(green). - http://rs285tl2.rapidshare.com/files/93706012/2.jpg Thank you very much for advice!!!
  2. So the question if long travel a arms or standart travel more cheap is over. I've just ought this great deal on new long travel kit with aarms, brake lines and elka comp. adjust quadrate longtravel shocks for 1200$. Cool! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...bayphotohosting
  3. By the way, I've searched more and found the possibility of bigger cheetah cylinders, crank and so on...Are these cheetah kits good for normal non-dragging banshee? Is it worth the money? Does it add only topend, or mainly low end and mid? I would prefer low and mid... Thanks
  4. Yep I like it Do you know how long are the trirates and how much travel?
  5. Thanks, these are tri-rates, right? In the ebay set are quadrates...And they are 19inch long, as trirates?
  6. I know that.But.. Iam using a service, that czech company in Los Angels provides a remote mail. Simply I buy everything I need in USA, send it to my remote mail, and then pack it everything to 1 box and send it to my house in czech republic. Shipping eithin usa is cheap and postal fees of 1 66lb(30kg) box costs me 250$... Thats affordable.
  7. Please do you have some pics? Could you please send me them? I haven't found any good pics of lt shocks on shee...
  8. Yes, now it seems that I know everything I need. Thanks alot to all!!! I've already ordered used t5's, will get cylinders ported at herr jugs racing, but about the suspension, I think that i will buy the long travel anyways. It looks killer and it's overall very good. Than vforce 3 reeds, already ordered adjustable timing plate, clymers manual, tors removal kit, parking brake blockoff... I will also order +2 rear axle, noss cool head with domes, hushkit. Iam really very curious how will look and run my shee after these mods! Iam going to spend this weeken demounting cylinders
  9. The asr +3+1 are too wide btw, I prefer +2. About the shocks, I know it costs more than standart travel shocks, esp. the long travel a arms aree expensive as hell, but I can't decide whether it's worth of that extra money.. Is there anyone who has the long travel setup, or have it ridden at least? Pics? I think that the long travel susp. is also smoother, plus the igger travel...I think that its a big improvement over the stock travel.. But once more, I need advices from you guys, because I haven't even seen any other banshee shock than stock Thanks again
  10. My comp. is stock...I havent changed it
  11. Well,i think that fox floats are for drag bikes.. I just love the long travel setup, just wondering if there is any minus else than price. Btw about the cool head and changing compression.Would you recomend me to raise compression when i run 95octane fuel?Iam afraid that it would cut the engine life.
  12. I underestand. Yes, you can get set of elka dualrates with piggybacks and comp. adj. for 900 and a arms for 550 thats 1450$. In this package are long travel quadrate elkas w/ piggybacks and comp. adj. and laegars long travel a arms(which are for like 850$ if you want to buy just these a arms) for 1750. All what Iam asking is that if is that worth of that 300$ extra for me? Btw do you know if it does raise the front of the ike up? And if so is it good for riding?
  13. Yes I know, but I've heard that if i will aply +2+1a arms I will have to buy shorter swingarm - more money. With just +2wide I can ceep the stock swing arm right? Btw when I have the price 1700$ - 850$(a arms)=850$ for the shocks. Thats pretty good price isn' it? I think It's better investition than like 1300$ for standard travel setup, dualrate. I thing that shocks are extremely important for a good ride aren't they? I just bought set of chrome T5's w/ silencers used good shape for 250$. I saved 300$, it's better to invest them for great shocks instead of new pipes. Am I right? All advices welcome because Iam still a newbie Thanks! edit: Btw any pics welcome! I haven't found any pics of long travel shocks on a shee...
  14. I ride all arounds, sometimes mx sometimes trails etc.. but no dunes... But the price isn't that bad is it? When standart travel shocks without compression adjust is about 750$, and they are dual rate. These are quadrate, long travel, with compression adjust and a arms for 1700$... while Laeger Long Travel Front End A-arms Yamaha Banshee costs 870$ off ebay... The question is are they all way better for everything, or are the worse for some type of terrain? Thx
  15. But is it better than standart travel? It's great that they are quad springs... But the long travel is it better than standart travel? Does it raise the front of the bike and if so its good or bad? Thanks Btw about the rear axle its no prroblem, they are cheap and easy to choose..but shocks.. And what about the aarms? They are just +2 not +2+1, is that allright?
  16. I found this nice set of shocks and a arms on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Elka-Shocks...bayphotohosting What do you think about it? I found that its long travel - 14inches of travel! WoW! Does it raise the front of the bike? If so, how much, and is it good or bad for riding? And what about the price? Do you have some photos of banshee with long travel shocks? And they seem like quad springs, are they? Thanks!
  17. I've already ordered a timing plate for 35$ off ebay. That is small enought price...
  18. What do you guys think about somethink like this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/UM-Racing-P...sspagenameZWD1V with this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/K-N-ATV-AIR...sspagenameZWD1V and two KN filters? Its an expensive solution, Dunno if it's worth of it
  19. I found that stock banshee is about 37hp. How much hp could be with the mods above? Thanks edit: Jeff from FAST wrote me that with that mods and his dune/play poort it would be 60+hp I really didn't expect that much..
  20. Yes, thanks. By the way, how much hp does have stock banshee and how much could I expect with V force 3 reeds, t5's, ported cylinders, timing plate +4 degrees and kn air filtering solution? Thanks
  21. Definitely not. But I don't need new bearings for example, because the machine is "brand new", the bearing is not "eaten" yet... But now Iam kinda "brainstorming" all info and then I will think about all possibilities, and then I will decide. Obviously, if there was a huge difference between the price of works and elkas, but 200$ is not that much imho. I think that the solution for me is to buy some parts used(but not shocks..)
  22. MichaelJackson: Yeah I know.. Now i know that 2500 is not enought. About the shocks, if works costs 550, it is possible to get elkas w/ remote res dual rate(or tri? I dunno) for about 750$ as I saw on ebay. It's not so much of difference, If it's worth of it... but I will definitely think about it...Iam not gonna buy everything right now, but I would like the shee to be ready on spring...
  23. Well, my bike is stock, but nerfbars and kn air filter, but I will have to buy another air filtering solution... And, I don't ride only in woods. Thats the problem.. Sometimes woods, sometimes on road, sometimes wheelies(but they arent doable well with stock power..yes they are doable, but not easily...), sometimes mx track... But Iam afraid that I'll have to spend more than 2,5grand Now Iam thinking about 3k$ But who knows how will it end...
  24. Thank you very much. Now Iam pretty sure I will buy a timing plate, prolly some elkas with reservoir + wicked a arms, used T5's + hush kit, Some KN dual filter setup, Razr II tires, extended axle. And Play/Dune Port: $350.00 from F.A.S.T racing. Is it a good idea? I hope I will buy all of this for about that 2500$. If you will have some good deals on these parts, please let me know.
  25. Okay. So if i will want a port job,i have to send to someone in the usa just carburators? And how much does the port job cost? And does it raise the amount of fuel needed for 100km? If so,how much? About the shocks,i will decide later,it will depend on what deal will i get. Maybe some used also. Thanks! You really helped me a lot!
