  2. Does anyone have powermadd handguards? I just got a set of powermadd rox and need to get them on. Just wondering where you's fitted them to the handle bars. Also do I need to get dfferent clutch and brake levers? Thanks for any help!

  4. Hi all, I was out riding today and my gear shifter has come loose. It has not come off as it cant get past the foot peg but it has rattled out. The guy I bought it off has put the wrong bolt in it to keep it in place so I was wondering is it a special bolt or what? Should it have a nut on the bottom of it or is the shifter threaded? Any ideas is excellent. May I should buy a new one? are there any good aafter market ones? Thanks

  6. Yeah i did this. Make sure your cylinders are completely cleaned out after any honing is done. New gaskets Id go with wiseco pistons as well. Take care getting the wrist pin out so the wee spring lads at the ends dont fall into ur cases or ul have trouble. Search for big red case splitting on here. Its a great link with pics.

  9. Hi no i didnt gap them. What should the gap be? Would that mean that not all the fuel is getting burnt and coming out the exhaust? I thought I was having a float problem or some carb problem that was causing me to run rich but I know my main is good. Any one else?
  10. Ok so now im beyond pissed off. :shoothead: My bike has been rebuilt and i have been trying to get the jetting sorted on and off for 2months. The pipes at the bottom of the carbs were leaking quite bad so i stripped them down and got them cleaned up and it stopped. One pipe stil does it but its not nearly as bad as it was. so now i take the bike out for a rip and there is a tiny bog in the low end. Its not really bad but stil its not perfect. Once i get her opened up the bike is unreal. Anyway I put my hand over the exhausts before i took it for a rip and there was stuf on my hand....im guessing this is petrol? Is this normal? Wat do i do to fix the problem. mods dmc aliens 240mains needle middle clip air screws 1.5out stock pilot k and n in air box with lid on...snorkle removed wiseco pistons in stock bore cylinders with mild port job.   12. Ok so I know this is stupid but Ive got ANOTHER kicker rattle question. I had it apart and put a new spring in and used the old ball that came out. I put a new o ring on it but not sure I put the o ring at the right place. Does it go at the bottom of the kicker??? Or where does it go? At first it was really tight but now When I ride now the kicker wont stay clicked in.It moves out towards my leg. So no one laugh at my stupid question... :beer:

  14. Hi guys, just an update. I put the needles in middle clip and adjusted my air screws and the bike is not bogging as much but it still does a little. The mains are perfetc. I did a plug chop and they have a perfect tan ring. My floats are just as the clymers specs but the bike still leaks fule out of the long tubes at the bottoms of the carbs. Really getting pissed off. What yas think Im doing wrong?? . Im not sure of the set up firehead was runnign or any details about the ports. Yes it is only bogging since the cylingers went on. Why what are you thinkg?? Someone help me sort this bitch for once and for all!!! ::

  16. Right guys im really really pissed off. Ive cleaned both carbs twice and cleaned the needle and seats. Both are fine and the rubber o rings are perfect. I took the bike out for a rip and its pulling real strong but the two long tubes at the bottom of the carbs are still leaking when im riding. WHen i stop the bike or when it is just idling they dont leak at all. The bogging is not as bad but its still not perfect. pleases someone help me. My floats are both just as clymers specs. PLEASE SOMEONE...........................ANYONE!!!

  18. Another question guys. I dont need my choke to start the bike so does that mean its rich, lean or has an air leak?? Or is it ok not to need the choke?? Really gettin pissed off. Want to get this baby running right.
  19. so this leaking tube has nothing to do with how the bike runs?? Im hoping changing the needle to the 3rd clip will fix my bottom end.
  20. Hi all, the title pretty much says it all. My bike has been runnig crap at low rpm. The long tube at the bottom of carb bowls leaks only when im riding. Ive had the carbs apart and cleaned them all down but I didnt check my float height. Does my float height affect this tube?? My main is 240 and is a nice tan colour. My needle is on 2nd clip from pointy end but im gona move it to 3rd. does this lean it or make it rich?? Air screw is 1.5 out. Bike is unreal at top end. Pulls like a shee should but bottom end is really bogging. I have to give it loads of juice. I have no leaks so i just need to stop them tubes at the bottom of carbs leaking. HELP ME PLEASE!!! :biggrin:
  21. 2stroke you are a fountain of knowledge. The bike does idle but it was idles quite high and when you rev it it takes a little time to get back to normal idle. Not really long but a bit longer. It does not rev by itself at all. I blew all the jets in the carbs out with air but not the carbs themselves.

  23. I think they are sealing. I did the leak down like banshee man said below and didnt see any bubbles but I mite try another like blessedwithdeath saidto be on the sure side. Although I dont have a boost bottle blessedwithdeath cos i didnt think i cud handle the hp them babies add!!! :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao: Ive stock reeds wikth the metal reed stoppers. Il check and double check all the reed set up 2strokespirit. Thanks. O do I need to take them off to check them?   24. Hello all at bansheehq. Hope yous are all keping well. Ive had a couple of jetting questions that have always been on my mind so here goes. I rebuilt my bike (new wiseco's and mild port job on cylinders). Im trying to get my jetting perfect so here's my questions: 1. If I dont need the choke to start the engine from cold am i rich or lean?? I needed the choke yesterday but today I didnt. Started 1st kick. Weird i thought. 2. Does needle height affect idle? 3. Am i close with my jetting? I have dmc aliens, k & N with snorkle removed from lid (but lid still on), 240mains, air scrw 1 1/2 out, needle on 2nd clip from pointy end. Everything else stock. Im at sea level and its around 60f here in ireland. Im getting a bit of bogging at low rpms but pulls really well at high rpms. What ya's all think?? Thanks
  25. Its standard. Im pretty sure they are 25 standard. then the go up in 2.5's so the next one is 27.5! Some one will correct me if Im wrong.
