  1. I took the air screw out when I cleaned it, before I took it out I screwed it all the way in and counted the turns to tight, then did the same when I replaced it, about 2 turns out. I took the jets out and the float off also. When I let off the throttle it is like I am hitting the kill switch, it shuts right off.
  2. I did not mean to post this question twice. The first on I cancelled because it was posting slow but I guess it went through. I think I need this answer clarified. I only have one carb, and adjust the carb tops? I don't know what that means, can you explain that in idiot term for me
  3. I just bought a 93 banshee and the front rims are cambered in a lot and I want to bring them back closer to straight. Problem is, I can not get the tyrod loose at the rim or the upper a-arm loose. I got the pins and nuts off but what is the trick to getting them loose so I can adjust them. I tried to tap the tyrod end through and it wont move. The a arm will not budge either. Any suggestions? I am a 2 wheel guy so I am new to this stuff.
  4. Ya it has a single carb. There is a stage IV intake on it and it has only 1 carb. There is a slide choke that says to turn it to adjust the idle speed. Does that help at all? I tried adjusting the air screw and did not seem to do anthing.
  5. I got my first banshee yesterday and am pumped to get it out. Its a 1993 with works front end, laeger swing arm, dyna port exaust, bead lock rims and a bunch of engine upgrades. I paid $500 for it because the guy wanted it out of his ex-wifes garage and he had no where to put it. It has been sitting for about a year and it was not well taken care of but for $500 who cares. I got it home and took the carb off and took the jets out and boiled everything out. I put it back together and it started on the second kick  The problem is that it will not idle. I adjusted the idle on the choke both ways and nothing. It sounds great just no idle. Any ideas. Thanks for the help.

  7. I know it is one hell of a deal. The bike is a little rough around the edges but with some time and a lot of money (from what I gather) it will look like some of these sick a$$ machines you guys and gals own. Thanks for the help.
  8. I know they are aftermarket a arms and shocks so I guess it is set up this way. I looked at about 200 banshees for sale on e bay and atv trader and never saw another one like it, that is why I was concerned. I appreciate the help. I am going to pick it up tomorrow so I am sure I will have some questions in the next few weeks
  9. Anybody got an answer for this. I am going to buy it tomorrow. I just need to know if there is an aftermarket a- arm , shock set up that would make the front tires toe in at the top .
  10. I am looking at buying a 1989 banshee for $500. It has aftermarket exaust, rims, tires, bars, rear susp., and all the front end is aftermarket, the engine has mods done but the guy selling it did not do them and he does not know what they are, he claims it has been clocked at 90mph. The strange thing to me is the front tires are toeing in at the top a lot. I asked the guy who is selling it what that was about and he said that is how they are supposed to be, it is set up for jumping. The front end looks lowered compared to most other banshees I have seen. Have any of you seen anything like this. For the price I can not complain if I have to put new shocks on it, but I would like to know what is making them toe in so bad. I have never owned a banshee before, I am a two wheel guy but I am getting old and want to try four
