  1. i am aware of this but i need ones that run on AC not DC.
  2. i used to ride my blaster in the snow all the time. the biggest problem i had was the snow would pack in around the carb and turn to ice. this would cool the bike off and only run with the choke on, i simply wrapped the carb with this insulation thats like bubblewrap with foil on both sides. never had a problem after that. i took a set of stock yamaha (like off a yfz) and cut every row of nubs (i think) off and ran with those. worked great. I intend on snow riding this winter with the banshee.
  3. i have 2 small computer type fans for mine but they are made to run off AC. im trying to find 2 more.
  4. it sound like its flooding out. what do your plugs look like? black wet fouled? You little drip drip seems to indicate this too.
  5. honda 450r seems to run slow for what they are. I get spanked by every other 450 but i have beat every 450r, even warmed over ones, that i have raced. I figured for supposedly being lighter they would be quciker than what they are.
  6. i have that same cheapy tester. it showed 145-150 on both cylinders on mine. no porting. trinity head and 20cc domes. 1500 feet above sea level. I use it on my cars and its always shows where they need to be .
  7. You went too far there. I was on your side until this little post. I like to see people do something different from what everyone else does. Theres alot of people here who are not like that and will do everything they can to make everyone follow the same path. I have too wondered what it would take to put yfz450 plastic on my banshee, however one of the reasons i bought my banshee was because i liked the different look. Sure its got a great motor to go with it. You have managed to shoot your own dick off rather than just ignoring the haters and keep doing your own thing. Flame on! edit: i think fullbores are ugly! /flamesuit on
  8. ah yes, the nut. the nut that some how always got loose and rattle off at the most inopportune times usually followed by the kickstart falling off, sometimes unnoticed, leading to a frantic search by friends for it so you can get it started and get back to your truck.
  9. i was thinking more atv oriented, not car
  10. looks like it rubbed on the flywheel
  11. They usually arent spun as high, making more power down low saving on wear and tear. a 2 stroke is making roughly twice (roughly, ok?) the power at a given displacement than a similarly sized 4stroke, putting more stress on parts.

  13. you need airflow to get the turbo to spool. That requires throttle. the problem is the engine wants to rev to infinity without a load on it if the throttle is pegged. The solution is a 2 step rev limiter like i have on my 2.3turbo mustang, you activate the 2 step and then ped the throttle. light turns green and the clutch is dumped, usually disenguaging the 2 step so it wont reactivate during the run. its like when you put on the parking brake on your banshee and then try and rev it. it wont and starts to 'miss' this is a form of a 2 step rev limiter.

    Need CHEAP!

i snagged a set for $18 with shipping off ebay. thanks
  16. I run DOT 5 in mine.
  17. That makes me wet
  18. just keep going at it. it took about an hour to do the ones on my banshee. i thought there was something wrong at first. Try one of those vacuum bleeders.
  19. my damn cousin used to do that to me with his 400ex. I could plant a damn garden in my lap after he got done
  20. i used to take my blaster mudding all the time. it was light enough to skate across the surface. Havent really taken the banshee mudding though. Its a bitch to wash the way it is.
  21. My drive sprocket is a 13. it is a 2001. back is either a 40 or a 41. i will check on the tire sizes.
  22. I got a pair of almost new skat trak 6 paddle gliders off a blaster for nearly free and would like to run them since i have them. I normally run maxxis razrs and want to use the paddles for primarily drag racing. They arent the best for a banshee but o well. Gearing is 13/40 (stock) right now and i was thinking of a 15t sprocket for the motor or do i need to go with a 16? I need something that will be a good median between the 2 sets of tires. Mods: Trinity aluminum head (21cc domes) trinity pipes trinity keihn carbs vforce reeds k&n filter plans call for an adjustible timing plate too.
  23. I am not attacking you personally. This is the image that you project to me based on your posts. Yes there are easier ways to get power but why not try something different. You are attacking him and his ideas by telling him that its a waste of his time and that he should just follow what everyone else does based on the the problems a few other have had. He is trying a whole different approach, fuel injection. Its not about eazy, if i wanted that i would have bought a yfz450 and called it good. If i came off as attacking you, then my apologies. You mention a disadvantage to benefit ratio. yes i agree that for most people it does not look good but for those that are willing to go through the work the potential benefits are huge. Have you ever ridden in a turbocharged car? I have a turbocharged 2.3l mustang. It is finicky, take alot more than my 5.0 to keep running but the ease that it makes power is unreal. the principles for keeping a turbomotor alive are alot different from a NA engine. That and 22psi kicking you in the ass is just down right fucking addictive. I must also applaud this guy on using megasquirt MAF. theres a road thats not well known either!

    Need CHEAP!

with or without studs. need them to be cheap as i am between jobs and moving to a different town.
  25. thanks guys, they are a brown color and appear to be too big? I have some copper silicone that i used to seal up my exhaust on the mustang (ball and socket) that i will try.
