  1. yeh i kinda figured about the down sizing but ya never know. i have a pending offer to buy and a pending trade from my builder for 34mm alcy's. so hopefully something will happen

  3. the reeds are between you intake boots( rubber that your carbs go into) and your cylinders. you can usually just take your carbs ou and look in with a flashlight. but i perfer just to take them off and inspect them. there is 4 bolts holding the rubber boots anr reeds in on each side.

I'm looking for a atv for my wife. perferable a banshee or raptor. i want a basket case! nothing nice. i perfer not to spend over 1,000. hell she's already going to kill me if i spend that. even though its for her. I am going to tear it down no matter the condition so i would like it to need some work. I don't mind traveling a lil but no more than 6-8hr fom central okc. well if your around glamis i could use and excuse to go riding lol let me know what ya got
  6. i forgot to mention the ends screw off. just make sure you tighten them on good and set the other screw think tight with them. and use red loctight. after i got mine together i didn't tighten them enough. i went about 200' wot and my sprink went BOING! luckily i didn't go end over end. i'll never make that mistake again
  7. yeah you can polish them but they will rust. you can try clearcoating them but i don't know how well it will hold up.
  8. we had the same problem this weekend. we replace the cdi, coil, plugs, stator, still no workie. but we finally figured it out....check your reeds. we pulled them out and one petal was broken in half. I thought it was the coil. my bike acted the same when i had a bad coil. but i guess you can get the same symptoms with 2 diff problems. i'd say you have a reed issue
  9. i have a set of 28pwk's i love them. only reason i'm selling them and goin bigger is to go to alcy
  10. yes the do come apart. it's best to use a spring compressor. i got them apart by hand but it was a pain in the ass. once you get them compressed the top side has a notch in it. pull it off hte shaft and the spring will come off
  11. i have a set of 28pwk's i've polished them and will polish them again beffore i sell. let me know if you havent found any.
  12. yeah i ened up workin on my buddy's bike till about 4. we got out there around 5 and were dragging. i raced till i was low on gas, he made about 3 passes and sciezed up his freshly built 421. damn the luck. i'm sure i raced some of you guys just never talked to anyone
  13. I want to trade my 28mm pwks for some 34-35mm carbs. I would like for them to be clean carbs, no junk. I also have a like new set of k&n's w/ outerwears. these carbs have been pollished and i will polish them again before i send them. let me know what ya got
  14. ok so i kept the mains in cause i'm sure they are atleast close. went with the 45 pilots 1.0 out. was still a lil boggy but better.( i was 2.0 out). i went to 0.5 out and it was even better. throttle response was better and idle was alot crisper. now should i go all the way in and see if there is more improvement. or should i move up a jet and start back at 1.0?
  15. my only worry from what i have seen is the 10-15mph wind! yeah donny called me cause i was the only one that knew how to ohm a (stock)stator, thanks to the hq of course. i'm leavin okc around 3 fri. but i have alot of work to do today to get ready. still have to make a stop by brians
  16. i only drink at night and my shee has no lights...so hopefully no dui for me lol. i'm sure they will hand out a bunch. funnyest think i saw was 2yr ago there was a group that put a tar in the bed of a truck and filled it up with water. hap a bunch of girls riding in the back topless. cop just walked up and opened the tailgate. the water took 3 of the girls out of the truck and onto the pavement. boobs were floppin everywere...lol

  18. ok so thats 3 of us. my group is taking 10 shee's and 3 rino's. every shee is built and 3 are cubs, so there should be some good races. my head will be shinny too,... but from the spiked in me helmet. lol
  19. they should have what your looking for here. your are probably thinking of a burr. it takes out mor metal quicker but you will need to clean it up with a stone or sander grainger
  20. The setup worked when I took it off. Not sure about the pads. If there bad i'll buy some and donade the set. its the stock black. If I get time I'll polish it up and send it your way
  21. i posted it on here and ps. i used it on my aluminum intake on my truck. i'm not sure how it will hold up on chrome. their webcite says it will stick. i will say that this stuff does work on aluminum. my intake has been on there for 5 years and still has not tarnished. if someone tries this stuff on some chrome let me know how it turns out.
  22. i have a full front brake setup. from the lever/resi all them way to the cliper and disc. i'll be gettin my membership when i get paid. are you giving tickets for donating parts? or just cash?
  23. ok i was looking at my 28 pwks. and i remember in a post it was said that the pwks do not have replaceable dump tubs. Therefore cannot be converted to alcy then used for gas again. my carbs do have removable dumps. or do i just ahve a odd set. lookin online i don't see the tube that mine has on kehine's webcite. this part just pushes out through the bottom
  24. ok guys i ran these carbs last season but have never dialed them in correctly. i'm currently running 165 mains and 45 pilots. i have a home port stock cyl and stock stroke. t5's ported reed cages w/single petal cf reeds.,k&n's , cool head 18cc domes, and i run 114 race fuel. My guys would be my pilot need to be atleast 55 and i have no clue about my mains. the bike ran good on top but dogged out of the hole.
