Anyone else here have one ? I got min installed yesterday and have to say I love it ....but the guy who set it up for me left to go out of town and didnt tell me how to set the timing on it it runs fine now but I would like to be able to adjust it my self any help??? this is what I have motor wise 421CC CHEETAH POWERVALVE, 19CC DOMES ,PVL IGNITION ,,185PSI in both cylinders,, RUN VP 110
-
my buddy just came over and we used his compression gauge and his shows I have 185psi in each cylinder ..found a small hole in the line on the one I was using so I guess 110 is fine
-
When I put my 421 cheetah powervalve together it had 160psi compression and I was running +8 on my timing now that the motor is broke in im at 145 -150 psi compression I put my timing plate back to 0 and am running the dyna ignition so basically I am at the point that I dont have the compression to run 110 but with the dyna controlling the timing could I just run some 100 octane?

I finally got everything back from trinity and got the motor put together Have it running good but just wanted to see what yall think about this ...I live in florida around sea level been getting 90+ in the day here ..IM running 168 mains CEL needle's middle clip timming on +7 19cc domes 160psi compression but my plugs look a little on the lean side but every one I talk to says I should only be running like a 155 main but last time we did that my pipes turned like a purplish color and the bike was running lean in my opinion any one have any other ideas ..
-
you might as well do it while you are there but then again the top end is an easy tear down on these 2 strokes ..I am sure some will say dont fix it if it aint broke but I would go ahead and do it while you have it opened up ..just my .02

Ttrue...there is alot of pavement between me and miami but if If what trinity is doing to it dont fix my problem I just might have to ship it down there .

Not trying to start a pissing match here about TRINITY they may have forgot to tell me a few things but over all I am pleased with them ..I know there are alot of people who dont like them for one reason or another but the same can be said for about any big company out there ..not taking the blame off of them because they did mess up but other than that I have always got exactly what I needed and if I needed it sent out the same day they did it no problem unlike other places that say they have it all then when you order it well it will be 2 weeks ...I just had the misfortune of getting a sales guy that was a little off in the head but I finally talked to a guy name James and he set things straight and sounds like a man who knows what he is talkin about .

After days of trying to get this thing dialed in I decided to pull the top end off and have a look because it had ran hot a few times while trying to set the jets ...and it had locked up one time before so needed to change the piston and look at the cylinders also ..well I call up TRINITY and tell them the problems I am having and the guy asked me how I had them ported..I said hell whatever your guy sold me ..so he looked it up and asked if I had sent the top case to them ?? I said didnt know I was supposed to nobody told me to ..he said I had to send him the top of my case to have it trinched to match some transfer port on the cylinders I said this is all news to me first anyone has said about it..he said that is probly why it was running hot and why I was all the way up to a 168 main anyone know what it is that they are wanting to trench out or port on the top case ...or has anyone else had this happen???
-
I was about to change my jets today until I noticed the ones that came with my 38mm PWK'S had a star before the jet size and the jets I was gonna put in said AB before the jet size ....they look the same on the outside but one has a longer depth to it on the inside ...anyone know if they will still work I got the other jets from the local yamaha shop but they just said "interesting" and left it at that
-
I have a 421cc cheetah running 38mm pwk's ...I live in florida low elivation and hot ..keep getting mixed stories on what jet sizes to run I am lean right now and am running 145 main and 42 pilot ..was thinking maybe 152 on the main would be better can any one help me out

THX...that is exactly what I wanted to see ..

OK ..Here is the deal I have a 421cc cheetah and just got it all in the new frame. I am using SHEARER in frames and the problem is the pipe on the left side of the bike looking at it from the rear is pushing against the carb ..I called Trinity and they told me to just lean the carb to the side enought to clear the pipe....just looking for some feed back could this just be a bent set of pipes or is this common on banshee's with the pipes not fitting right ..turning the carb towards it side a little just sounds a little strange to me ...any help ??

I am also having some issue's with my 421cc cheetah power valve setup. I live in florida so I am at sea level ..got it all put together on thursday and was very dissapointed I am assuming that I need to correct the jetting or something can anyone give me a good starting jetting start point also how much tiiming advance I am only set at +2 right now
