  1. Back in the late 80's when I used to ride a hopped up Honda 250R in the dunes, I raced quite a few LT250r's. It seemed like the Hondas always had the edge in the motor dept. I know they made stroker cranks for them but I'm not sure who. You can try Falicon, they can probably still make you one (727-797-2468). I never got beat by an LT250R but I'm sure somebody out there had something really fast (There's always somebody faster). Reliability wise, I only heard negative things about the hopped up Quadzillas, especially the 87's. They had one less head stud and seemed to pop frequently. Steve
  2. I saw some stock Banshee front rims for sale on Ebay the other day that had a flat plug (Looked like steel?) in place of the Schrader valvestem. It said in the description that you could use the rim with the offset +2 (Valvestem on the inside). Anyone know what kind of plug they used and how they aired the tire up? I'd really like to have a wider stance up front and still utilize the stock rims. They're pretty durable compared to most aftermarket rims, not to mention they're already paid for. Steve
  3. I just recently bought a 96 shee and I'm thinking of removing the plastic boot guards attached to the footpegs. I probably will use the bike 80% in the dunes and 20% in the dirt. Should I worry about the rear fenders cracking from lack of bracing/support? The banshees I remember riding back in the late 80's never had those ugly boot guards but I think the fenders were different. Thanks, Steve
