  1. and the easiest way to make sure i dont do that is by matching up a bit to the end of the shaft of the bolt? thats what im thinking..
  2. i think i know what your trying to say. find a drill bit in my tool box that will fit on the bolt end of one of the other bolts that came out of the crankcase? then take that bit and drill the screw out so all i have left is the head on the beginning of my crankcase cover? sounds like a really good plan and pretty sure thats what we did on the scrambler!

  4. true, sounds like a plan! hey what kind of mods do you have done to your ws6? my buddy has a 2000 ta non ws6 but with full exhaust and a rear mount turbo with an intercooler, new engine and tranny mounts. it rips pretty good..he is coming home from UTI this december and we are going to rebuild his motor, completly built, all forged internals cam crank bored and a procharger up front hoping to hit about 800 wheel horse next spring
  5. hey dave, thanks for the response! anyways when you say a little bigger than the shank of the screw, you mean the phillips design in the screw? just a little bit confused, i like to know exactly what im doing when i do it. i had a head bolt strip out on my lil bros scrambler 90 motor and i just drilled that one out and i think we tapped it out im not sure i cant remember haha! so get a drill bit that is the size of the phillips design on top of the bolt and drill past the head before it hits the case then the cover will come right off?? then twist the bolts out with a vise grip?? thanks
  6. haha thanks bro, is an extractor the same as a tap and die set or no? ill pick up an extractor kid first thing tomorrow. anyone on this topic runnin jeffs clutch? im gunna run it with all the HD springs, if you are runnin his clutch i wanna know what you think about it and how well it works etc! thanks guys!! :beer:
  7. i am awaiting my clutch, allen head screws and clutch gasket from jeff at fast. i started to remove my cover, kickstart and drain the oil and coolant etc, but 3 of the phillips head bolts that hold the cover on wouldnt come off and became stripped. what should i do?!?? can i cut the head off the bolt and then pull the cover off or do i have to use a tap and die set to remove the bolts? thanks guys! 01shee

  9. thanks guys! thanks alot.. i talked to jeff from fast today and i have his clutch with heavy springs, clutch gasket, allen head screws, and a couple white fast stickers on the way first thing monday! im excited..im still pandering if i want to do my front fenders...not too many people around here cut them off and like em..i am going to be reallly happy with this clutch, new tranny fluid and coolant. i cant wait!
  10. haha alright bro! thats what i thought..just making sure..i know where the res.'s are but if i can see the little metal thing on the front resi does that mean its low? i guess ill open it up and see.. i have iridium plugs so i will just clean them up and check the coolant. what is everyone recommend for oil ratio? i run 110 octane and yamalube 2r at 32:1..
  11. hey there everyone! i just ordered two liters of belray gear saver 80w tranny fluid. do i just drain the tranny and fill it? someone help...going out for a trip in a week or so, so id like to get that changed out before. also want to change out my clutch for one of jeffs clutches but cannot get a hold of him..anyways definetly want to change that transmission fluid out first. also how do i check my brake fluid? thanks for your inputs..also if you have any suggestions on some maintence items for my shee go ahead and shoot! im open to anything.. i picked it up about a year and a half ago and havent done anything but coolant..thanks guys! 01shee

  13. adj. timing, cool head with 19cc or 18cc domes, depending on what you wanna run fuel wise and what your final compression will come out to..get the top end re done with a nice port, dyna fs ignition nology hot wires, stroke the crank, cheetah cylinders, 35mm carbs

  15. alright well ive got a couple mods but stock cyl and stock stroke...is it easy to put in new disks and springs as u would get from jeff at fast for 95 dollars? thanks

Hey guys! i talked to my builder today and i was thinking about getting a new HD clutch cuz he said when he built his banshee motor he thought his stock clutch was strong then he threw a stronger one in and it wasnt too radical so he said he suggests throwing one in..what do you guys think?? and could i put it in myself with basic tools? if i did a new clutch, 15 tooth front sprocket, 42 rear renthal and pair of 35 mill carbs, and cdi box to raise my rev limit some more would it make a big difference?? i would go with a clutch first cuz thats the cheapest, already throwing the sprockets on then a new cdi...thanks for any input guys!!
  17. thanks for the input guys my new 15t sprocket is on overnight delivery from rmatv, i might have my buddy who is a machinst completely billet out my machine for me. how hard is it to change out the rear sprocket? thanks again

  22. haha o man i know that was the first thing i had to do because when i brought it out the first day and was behind someone riding my new one with stock exhaust and was like WOW! that sounds like a lil B***H 4 wheeler! lol i hated how pussy it sounded so i went out and bought full FMF exhaust all the way back thanks for the comment!
