i think it was like 300 or so i bought it off of the yamaha website. it was pretty easy to install like 3 and a half hours nothing to complicated although you do have to take the clutch out. well worth the money IMO.

the cam mod can be done on any yfz we just did it to my buddies 06 a couple weeks ago. it does make a difference and its free so give it a try. also if your gonna install a kickstarter like i did you will want the cam mod it will make it 100 times easier to start. the cam mod is the yz450f timing which is just retarding the exaust cam 1 tooth.

right on... my only experience dragging against a Z was a pretty much an all the bolt ons bike with cams and a high comp piston and i killed him, but my 450 has the same stuff as him so i wouldve expected it. I would have to see a Z beat a 450 to believe it. im not saying youre lying im just unsure of the bikes potential and i cant see one with out heavy mods example: big bore stroker etc... beating a 450, even a stock one but who knows.

yep and i got them 2 days later and in excellent shape id have paid more if i knew i was going to get them that soon and in that good of condition... i did say i would pay top dollar for them and i think i got a good deal.

while i agree that they are all hype i dont see them getting beat by a z400 probably not even a stroker Z but hey if your a good rider i guess anything is possible... :wink:

same hear yfz450 all the way. that kawi isnt half the bike they try to make it out to be. dont get me wrong i like it but like i said it aint setting the world on fire. a stock yfz would kill that thing there powerplants nothing special.

thanks man i got the arms today and they are exactly like you said. only problem is that they are way cleaner than my bike so i better get out the simple green and get to cleaning !!!!!

thanks for all the help guys im not sure how many hours are on the top end but its supposed to be pretty fresh from what i was told. i still have to get the carb off and clean the jets i try all the tips you guys gave me and report but i just got my a arms from 2003limitedbanshee and gotta get that together real quick so the 250s on the back burner for a couple days. thanks again and ill let you guys know what happens.

my buddie at work just picked one up and ive rode it a little it handles really good the power is ok and it is nice to wheely. other than that it has some sweet stock rims and it is just a little to stiff. over all good bike but its not setting the world on fire... and dragging it against my 450 i absolutly murdered him every time and even with 5 lengths i still passed him by 4th and pulled like a freight train on him. but my 450 isnt stock and his is so well have to test it when he gets the equvilent mods. just my .02

i personally prefer the ss fronts over the mohawks but i never used the buffed bead to bead ones only the shiny ones.from what i can remember i didnt like the ride to and from camp it was hard to steer and really bumpy on the mohawks on the sand they were ok but i still like the STU razorbacks or sand stars better. just my .02

im going to put it back together tomorrow and get the filter from him. if the filter was off why would it make it hard to start ? just cuz its getting too much air? thanks. ill get the filter on and see what happens.

hey guys i just picked up a yz250 for next to nothing and the reason is that its hard to start. when you kick it over the crank turns and it gets spark and it feels like it has good compression but it only kicks over after like 5 min. of kicking the shit out of it. the previous owner was trying to kick it over with no filter on at all could that have fucked it up? any help would be much appreciated.

i know some places make you wear the plastic gay ones. but if thats not the case check out fox or i think its shift they have the under jersey soft ones that are pretty comfortable for a chest protector. hope that helps some ill try to find a link.
