  1. thanks for the help thats y i was looking for the durablue becouse it was cheap and lasted a good while i thought that someone on here before said that rocky mountain sold it for like 60 bucks but thatll work thanks alot for the info
  2. yea it helped me out i guess ima gona stay with my toomeys i just liked the way that 2 into 1 sounded and like i said it was like 50 bucks more than its gonna cost to redo my mufflers and im gonna have to contact the guy on here i realy liked that grill it was real nice thanks again
  3. ok its been a while since ive been on here been workin alot but i finaly got to go on a trip to a local ride spot here in ky and seen a few things that i have some ?s about ok ? 1 this guy had a banshee that had a 2 into 1 exhaust and sounded mean as HE!! so i looked on craig list and someone has a moto fast 2 into 1 for 150 are these any good and is that a good price i have toomey t4s now and was just wondering becouse they need 2 be repacked and someone took the screen outa them and this pipe is just a lil more than repackin my old pipes ?2 one of the outher guys in this banshee group (4 banshees total) had a crome fox racing grill that looked sweet does anyone know were to get one from i only seen the guy like 2 times and both times he was on a opposite trail and couldnt ask him ?3 i seen on here before someone talkin about a durablue skid plate and it said rocky mountain or someone sold it but now i cant find it does anyone know who that is i need a skid plate bad thanks for any help guys

  5. ok lets try the 1 thing no one has suggested yet take the seat off and look between the carbs and see if there is a small (like fuel line) sized hose going from 1 carb to the other not to be confused for the actual fuel line if its not that may be your problem becouse the jacka$$ that had it was so stupid he may have pulled it off for some reason. also its not hard to clean carbs get a manual or ask a friend im sure you dont ride by yourself im sure someone you know has some kind experience with it or just spend the money and take it to the dealer becouse banshees are to exspensive and complicatedd to get blown up becouse someone wants to be cheap or just say no thats not it everyone is trying to help to the best they can and im sure that some of the best banshee people are right here and have given you there suggestions its a trial and errror thing and if your not willing to try you may as well give up and get a blaster back or buy a 4stroke becouse these things are the best but also the best at being a pain in the ass also. also my banshee makes almost the same noise becouse the snorkel is off that is the sound of 2 carbs sucking in alot of air to feed a hungry beast you can put your hand over the inlet to the air box and hit the gas and feel it pull your skin so maybe thats what your problem is or maybe the jacka$$ that had it chnged the jets or needle and leaned it out already you will never know till you dig into it so roll up ya sleeves and get dirty it aint gona do it itself
  6. well mine did kinda the same thing and i checked it over and over again even used carb cleaner lookin for the air leak and finaly one day was just discusted with it and sat on the ground while it was ideling and it caught my eye as the motor shook and rattled around like they do i seen that the intake boot was riped on the bottom but u could only see it if the carbs were pushed up becouse the weight of the carbs and airbox would keep the boot pushed down till the rattlen caused the carbs to move down and opened up the crack and it would suck air so u may wana check that also if it has a boost bottle check the lil plugs it slides into
  7. unless u are riding on gravel or dirt roads i wouldnt run 18s any kinda ruff trail or deep rut or even worse big mud hole is gonna kill ya fun time. its not very fun always haven to yank the rearend off a big rut or outta deep mudhole i run 20s but sometimes wish i ran 22s becouse the utility atvs around here have killed the trails hope this helps
  8. well of course a yamaha gasket is good but pricey also i had good luck with cometic on an old 250r i had and suprisegly the last one i put on my banshee was the only one in town and its a namura it seems to be doig good but on gaskets id ask an engine builder like FAST or any outher site sponsor they have built thousands of motors im sure they have more experince in the long term results
  9. i went through the same thing a while back after askin on here and a few other people this is the suggestions that worked for me thanks HQ 1. torque the head in 3 or 4 steps and after u reach final tourqe go back around and test to see if any backed off a lil 2. fill radiator with coolant and only put the cap on to the first click so the pressure can get out if need be just to let it burb the air bubble out shouldnt take but a minute or so 3. start and let it run till it warms up shut it off let it cool and retourque the head 4. take it for a ride 20 30 minutes or so turn it off and cool and retourque the head again 5. go out and BEAT THE CRAP OUTTA IT LIKE BANSHEE"S LOVE LOL thats what worked for me i also got some bad tips ranging from coat the head gasket with indian head gasket sealer or spray on copper seal doesnt work and makes a big mess for u when u gotta replace the dang thing again LOL also u gotta make sure u have it the right way up most gaskets have it marked and use good quality gaskets GOOD LUCK
  10. just go look at the 2 forsale and pick the best one and fix what ever may be wrong with it and deffenetly dont pay 3300 for it thats his asking price u gotta talk him down a little. and unless he has just rode the crap out of them i doubt if u have to do a bottom and topend rebuild at the most it will be a topend basicly if u can start and ride it the bottom end is most likely good to go till u leave for school. if u buy a new banshee u may get by with just lubing the chain and stuff like that but that all depends on how hard u ride it and how well u maintain it u could get by with just the lil stuff.
  11. yeah i have razr 2's on my 400ex and it seemed like that thing could go through anything with ease till they got bout half tread and then they would still hook good but wore very fast i got gncc's on my banshee and love them too but it just seemed like the razrs cleaned out easyer looks like i may have to take a trip to bowling green LOL im just outside fort knox in a small town by the drag strip maybe this summer we could meet up somewere for a ride like royal atv trails or somethin so what did u all do just stop in one day or did u know someone there that let you in man id love to meet bill ballance just to see if he is a regular guy or like most other famous people a stuck up a$$ LOL actualy i need some new back tires now i was thinkin bout tryin out some called slingshots cus they kinda cheap till this spring and get some new razr2's but dont know may just run bolagna skins on da back till spring lol
  12. just checked the clymer and it says 20 to 22mm toomey says 21mm so its your choice
  13. it could be when u hit the water it splashes up onto the tors wires and crosses the circut activating the tors system till the water droplet dries up away from the two wires then it starts running better cuz the circuit is no longer compleated and the tors system is no longer activated
  14. hold up how do u get that lucky to just pull up to bill ballance's shop and load up free tires and get hardly used tires for 20 bucks u must have some major conections or something huh lol can u hook da rest of us up lol by the way what part of ky u live im in the good ol bluegrass too

  16. the first pair are itp mudlite sp's but the secound pair must be discontinued or something becouse i looked on kendas website and all my catalogs and there was nothing that looked close to those the first pair the mudlites are some good tires my bro in law had them on his blaster and he went through some major mud holes like a 4wheel drive would i just didnt like how they handle in the corners and things like that myself ill stick with razr2's and holeshot gncc's on my 2 bikes myself but if it gets muddy i may hve to try em out they kinda cheap down this way bout 60 bucks a piece
  17. well now that we know ur runnin alky it helps a little i remember reading on here somewere i believe that some people kinda rig the carbs for alky by cuttin 1 side of the float off or somethin or another im sure one of the big time guys knows a lil better and can help explaine more but i bet the float is set too low or is hanging up and the motors suckin the bowl dry and thats y that one cyl is shutting down basicly kinda what i said at first about maken sure u have enough fuel in it hope that helps and someone that knows more bout the alky stuff can help more on that end
  18. this may be a stupid ? but do u have enough gas in it mine does the same thing when the gas gets low and as soon as i put it on reserve or fill the tank back up it stops it also you may wana check that the correct float bowl is on the correct carb that couls cause it too
  19. dont know if u want a "turn key" bike or something u can build as your own but a shop in my small town has a old j arm banshee stretched with wheely bars and all its got half a old suzuki 750 motor on it i think he said the other day he wanted to sell it and aparently it has some good racing history he has a news paper article about it in its "HAYDAY" oh yeah it has a nos system on it too
  20. i have always had good luck with magicracing.com got my stuff in 2 or 3 days and all orders over 100 bucks is free shipping and the prices are pretty good to they have some good deals sometimes in the clearence part i got a moose billet bar clamp for 12 bucks oneday

  22. glad 2 hear it man i think i got mine fixed today too the last time i put it back together i was in a rush cus the rain was comin and guess what i put the gasket on upside down well i got it back 2getha with a new gasket runnin good lets hope it stays that way lol
  23. i rechecked them once but that was it maybe this time ill check em 2 or 3 times maybe more and i hope the head aint warped again he had to mill a good amount off the last time so there might not be enough to do it again or bump the cr up too high if it does it again im buyin a coolhead and bein done with it
  24. yeah its done it before but thought it was just becouse the clamp was week so i put a worm gear clamp on it and it blew off so bad it split the line so i put a new line on and check the water level and the rad was almost empty rode it for bout 30 40 mins yesterday and parked it this mornin checked the water again and the rad was bout half empty filled it and started it rode it around for bout 5 10 mins parked it and noticed as it was ideling water pushin up through the head stud and nut in the center on the left cyl right below that lil hose so once agian im 100% sure i blew a gasket again this happened before and i found my head was badly warped had it machined and the guy said to use copperhead head gasket sealer or spray on copper sealer so i went the cheap route wit the indinahead stuff so guess its off to the shop 4 a new gasket and try her agian i may pickup a new cap too that may be my prob dnt know hope u figure your prob out and it aint much good luck
  25. not trying to steal your thread but mine is doing the same thing but on the left side and it also keeps blowing that lil bypass hose off the center of the head whats up with that i hope my head gaskets not blown agian but thats were im leaning towards
