  1. I have considered a lightened flywheel in the past but was told that it's for lighter riders. I go 220 without gear. What are the pros and cons of doing something like this? Here are my engine mods. - Aggressive dune porting from RB Racing - Wiseco Pro-Lite forged pistons - NOSS Cool Head with 21cc domes - Ricky Stator adjustable timing plate set to +4 degrees - V-force 3 reeds - Modded shift star and pro shift kit - 370 mains, stock pilots - Vitos carb needles for ported engines set in the middle - Vitos T.O.R.S. elimination kit - UM aluminum airbox with single K&N Filter - FMF Gold series pipes (came with bike) - Direct Drive lockup clutch My riding is split almost 50-50 between recreational / competitive MX Cross country and recreational drag racing. I'm sure it would rev quicker but at what expense? (Would it be safe for engine reliability?)
  2. I'd like to see the full frame skid plate. [email protected] or post it here.
  3. Send me more pictures of the Holeshot XCRs on the factory gold rims. Any major dents in the rims? I'm in 77062 and very interested if the tread is sufficient. [email protected]
  4. I would be interested in hearing what mods the guys that are running these 30 mm carbs have. I'd like to see if there is a comparable bike out there running these and what they think about MX, X-Country, Drag racing.
  5. No kidding. I wish I was looking for the Raptor. That is the one to have!!! Let's just say that if I had an extra 3K and a weekend to travel to get it I would be all over it.
  6. I may be looking for a 2 into 1. Would you take offers if it does not bring your asking price? If so, email me at [email protected]. If you "need" to get rid of it I may be able to help you but I'm not jumping on the deal since I don't know much about the setup. I only know I've been told it helps the low end.
  7. He is looking at the pictures now. He is in Dallas Texas. Would you consider meeting part way if he is interested?
  8. What do you think about these carbs? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...mMakeTrack=true Do you guys know who makes them?
  9. I've got my eye open for a deal on the 28s now. I just missed a set on eBay for $260 plus shipping. I don't even know if that's a good deal really. As for the stroker, Bob told me the existing port work would be fine but I'd have to upgrade to another style of piston to match the port work. They way I understand it, if I was to go with the 4 mil it would only be case porting, the stroker crank (welded etc) and the new pistons. I've tried to include a photo of the intake side of the port work that Bob did. I don't know much about porting but it sure looks agressive to me and it pulls as hard as my buddies $500 port job. I am hoping that I don't have to re-do the port work again. What do you think?
  10. I've got a friend that is looking to get a Raptor. Your modded bike may be just the ticket. I've sent him the specs to look at. Can you send me the pics? [email protected]
  11. Thanks for all the inputs guys. I
  12. Per our email conversation, the PayPal payment has been sent for the full asking price.
  13. I've got the bike back together now and I've taken it though the break-in. I used the one listed on the Duncan Racing web page. I've dragged it against some other Banshees and it seems to hang with like modded bikes. Bob (the guy that did the port work) hooked me up on specs for running it. It runs fine on pump gas. I want to make sure I keep it that way for now. I though of 20cc domes but that's in the gray area of race/pump gas mix from what I can tell. How much better would the 28mm PWK carbs work out?
  14. (First post but I've been lurking for a while) I purchased an almost stock 1996 Banshee for $1400 and decided to tear it down since the previous owner said the top end had never been done. It rode fine during the test run but seemed to be running a little rich on the right side. I wanted a Banshee pretty bad so I jumped on the deal since it was in great physical (cosmetic) condition. I would have checked the compression but I couldn
