Got my axle back again, this time coated correctly. Also got the two swing-arm linkages I forgot to get coated back tonight. With that said, I think I have everything to near finish the bike. I have two questions: the first is how to get a hold of cotton branch racing so I can get a case saver? I already have one but I hear his is th best. I tried Facebook but the doesn't respond. The second question is how much radiator hose I need and what I.D. of each? I get Napa stuff at a far cheaper rate so I'll need to know so I can order early tomorrow morning and have it by lunch time when we close. With that said, all I need to order is my rear brake caliper, seat cover, exhaust wrap and rear fender plastic. I think I may order some good fuel line so I can see through it. I need to figure out what size I need for my dual pingel and 39's. I had my pingel rebuilt and returned this week. I'm still waiting on my shocks back from Elka. They arrived at elka on the 7th. Will post pics this weekend once the bike is mostly buttoned up. I may even fire it up. I need to call Cameron to see which oil he recommends for his pro mod and what premix ratio he used. Edit, got my radiator hose

Basically you can die

Do you have your frame? You can test fit if so.

Cubs are drag ported, serval are More broad power delivery. I rode a 4mil cub once years ago, I hated the delivery. That's just my own personal preference though. My engine was built with power delivery as priority. I didn't care what it did on the dyno. Still don't. Can't wait to finish my bike build.

redline 521 about 6500 with carbs and pipes. That was about 2 years ago what it costed me minus the shiny engine bling that doesnt make you go faster that OP chose, build labor, dyno time, trans. Cheaper to go buy a 450/ 700 new off the lot when all said and done. but then you only have 40-45 hp in ya whole 4 stroke engine rather than 55+ per cylinder pumping out well over 100rwhp power. That's just the engine. Then there's a chassis set up/build to make it work.

At what rpm do these pipes mentioned usually come on the pipe on an unported engine? And what RPM they pull to? I'm just curious.

Had t6's then t5's then cpi

I ran cpi's in trails. Never again.

I decided to put it on hold for the most part until the shocks are back at my house. Tracking said they are already in Canada as of 6am this morning. Elka has a customer for like. That is for sure Hard to explain but points noted. I dont ride very aggressive at all. Too scared to get hurt and not be able to work.

I spoke with fireball racing to inquire about shock length. He said depending on tire size and personal preference, 18 1/2 - 19 1/4 will be fine. Their design never changed. I spoke to the vendor i got the shocks from, we did order it correctly. I'm in the process of trying to contact Elka to sort this out. Mistakes happen, im confident elka will make it right.
-
I remember the vendor correcting me on the phone by saying long travel because my terminology was wrong. Fireball also called them LT arms as well when i ordered. Yes i hope they help me out. If not, this will set me back a long time.

At Glamis, overheating like crazy

Note to self, i'm going to make sure my china radiator doesnt have this issue. -
Will be calling the supporting vendor here and seeing how to go about with the exchange on their dollar. Thanks. I specifically said it was for 3+1 when I ordered. I think Elka is in Canada. This will not be cheap to ship and insure. I wonder if my rear shock is correct. On the bright side, this will give me 3-5 weeks to get other stuff while this problem is being fixed.

Well i know a tape measure isnt accurate but it sure isnt off by nearly 4 1/2 inches. The bike's weight isnt even compressing it any. It's very very stiff. Here's the paperwork: http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/ff111/raguncajun/DSC02074_zpssi1p8sgu.jpg http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/ff111/raguncajun/DSC02075_zpsrsd3iu1e.jpg These are the stage 3's. I dont see how it's posible to adjust the preload or whatever it's called and get more length. It just doesnt work like that. It wont physically make the over all length longer.

A arms are +3+1. Arms are for spec for my weight with gear, for +3+1 arms and my riding. Everything bought new. I can measure tomorrow how long the shocks are. Edit* shocks are roughly 14 5/8" with a tape measure on the bike center to center.

That's what's threaded and pushes the spring down therefore raising the ride height?

I just talked to fireball racing. I have some raptor 700 tie rods on the way. So that will be here in 4-5 days. My powder coater is gonna coat those because they are coming in raw. That way i can use my 12mm brand new All Balls tie rod ends. All of that was said in control's 521 serval on race gas thread more than once or another thread or two i read in the last few months. So it's my fault for not checking to see which tie rods they sent me before tonight Here's what the bike looks like as of now: http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/ff111/raguncajun/DSC02073_zps0aoj9rbm.jpg That's all i will do until the swing arm or engine mount bushings come in. If i remember right, you have to install the shifter and foot brake before installing the foot pegs. I'm waiting to install my nerf bars for last since they are like wings and take up way too much working room. Most things arent fully screwed in. I'm waiting until a few things come in this week that i ordered to fully tighten with anti seize. That stuff makes a mess.

So I wasted some money on an all balls tie rod kit. I need to call fireball racing tomorrow morning and see if I'm suppose to have tie rod ends. All I have is the tie rods that came with the arms. I'm not reusing my old tie rod ends that are beat to hell. The all balls tie rod ends are bigger than the fireball racing tie rod holes.
