  3. yep gotta have sparkys.You can buy the clamp on ones there or go out on the dunes first thing in the morning and there are always a couple people lost.We found 2 last year people lost in the first hour out there but then I lost one of mine later so that sucked

I like them.I had the adjustable ones,not the new non adjustable ones and I was really happy with them.I felt they were a little more of a top end pipe then lets say Toomey T5's.When I raced my buddy with his T5's,it was an easy win every time along with others at the sand dunes .The only thing I didn't really like about them was they were not loud enough for me so I got a set of toomeys off a fellow HQ member last week to satisfy my loudness need.I'm selling mine and I seen a set in the for sale section on here not too long ago.I really couldn't find any info on them when I was thinking about buying mine.

  6. Bought some toomey T5's off him and they were exactely as he described and he shipped them right out the next morning.replied to all my emails too.

I tried the window screen also and they denied me along with my buddy that did the same thing.So I just bought a set of T5's so can I just take the cap off and buy this alba screen thats forestry approved and get the stickers?I got screwed last year and had to sit in the parking lot all day because my LRD silencers were to big for any of the sparkys the store had.Don't want it to happen again.

Well just a thought but I had a similar problem when I rebuilt mine this summer and I had a similar problem.I went a little overboard I think with the coating the cylinders and stuff with oil during the build and I ended up going threw 4 sets of plugs in the first 10 minutes of running afterward.the plugs would only last like a minute or 2 and then it would die or backfire if I tried to rev it.First 2 stroke build I've done and I coated the cylinders with oil like you would with a 4stroke wasn't sure if I was suppose to or not so if you did the same it could be that.

Alright here goes ,Me and a buddy were out riding at his farm him on his blaster and me on my shee and we had been riding the trails and what not in the woods and were at the far end of his property so we ended up at the road so we thought we would shoot down the road back to his driveway to cool them down a little since there is never any traffic around there.Well of course my shee is way ahead of him so I get to the front of his house and stop on the yellow line to let him take the lead back to his trails and I'm sitting there for like 15-20 seconds waiting on a perfectly flat road and I hear tires sqealing so I turn around and he is headed right for me ,I turn around to take off and he hits me.Well it throws me off my shee and he actually is able to stay on his blaster somehow.Well then the quads are stuck together like a couple of humping dogs so I try to help him get them apart but I'm in too much pain so I just let him get it.I limp up to his barn and check out the damage and my brand new helmet is all road rashed up,and it bent my rear grab bar,light bar,broken tail light,broke the piece off my frame that holds the rear fender on,broke my back fender all the way down the seat,bent my axle slightly,broke the hanger off my LRD silencer and shoved the front of the stinger half way through the silencer.My injuries were road rash, a sprained wrist,sprained fingers,sprained back by rotating my vertibrae,and fractured my wrist.So after the accident I ask him what the hell he was doing and he says he wasn't paying attention and it looked like I was still moving and when he realized I wasn't,he paniced and jammed on the rear brakes cause he doesn't have fronts and lost control hitting me while wide open in 5th gear.The thing of it is I wasn't even in front of him ever,I was in the left lane and he was in the right and he had the whole road to go by me on so why jam on his brakes.Well lesson learned,don't ever let him ride behind me again.Oh he also said I if I had a brake light ,He would have known I was stopped.and there was no damage to the blaster,must be made pretty tuff huh.

Hey guys I have Lrd pipes now and I love them but,The silencers are way to big for any type of spark arrestors.I have contacted LRD and I have contacted the company that makes the sparkys clamp ons and they both said they don't know where I could get some sparkys that are big enough to fit on my Lrd's.I bought the biggest sparky they make which is one for a FMF but they are too small so I made slits in them and still no go so instead of buying different silencers for $200 and some I thought I would just buy new pipes and the CPI's silencers are small enought to fit sparky's.I ride the dunes at least once a month and I hate haveing to put my stock silencers on everytime to go there.My buddy has Toomey T5's and they don't have enough top end for me.I whip him at drag racing everytime and we have the same mods,all stock except pipes and filters.So Are the CPI's pretty comparible to LRD's.I think the dyno I found said the LRD's were like a 1000 and some change higher in the Rpm's compared to the T5's.I believe it.
  15. Hey guys I want to buy some 8 paddle haulers with rims for a $100 but one tire has 2 broken paddles,ones cracked and one is missing the middle section so how can I fix it or where can I get it fixed or where can you buy just one paddle and what kinda price for 1 thanks chappy

  17. I have LRD pipes and I can't find sparkys big enough to fit over the silencers and I already test fit some fmf silencers and they almost fit perfect on my LRD's so I figured I would go this route.If you have something else you think will fit let me know.

  19. My manual for my 03 banshee says 10w30 so I have been running 10w30 golden spectro clutch saver oil in it but a couple other people run straight 80w gear oil in there banshees so am I right by running the 10w30 or do I need to bump up to 80w?Thanks in advance

Alright here is the deal,I have an 03 banshee with LRD pipes and toomey air filter no air box so its not heavily modded but definently not stock.I took the stock tires off and put some 20in holeshots on to try and get better traction but it still will not hook up real well.My buddys ride my shee and they are all around 150-180 (I'M 220)and that thing hocks up and stands the frontend up through the first 4 gears fo them and with me on it only barely does it in first gear and second on up nothing but breaking the tires loose..Even on the dry blacktop it only wants to stand up in first and nothing after that ,not even wheel spin on the blacktop and I am driving it very aggressive.I had my buddys watch me and they said that it looks like I am losing all my power through my rear shock.They said that when I launch I am dropping the rear fenders almost to where there touching the tires and then it comes back up and does the same through the gears.We adjusted the rear shock as stiff as we could and it helped a little but not much.So is it the rear shock that is causing the problem and if it is what can I do?replace it ?rebuild it?I can;t believe it would be blown being an 03 and I knew the guy I got it off of and he hardly rode it and never jumped or raced itso I can't believe it is blown,maybe just to soft for a heavier guy like me.

Well I just put new pistons in(stock bore) removed the air box and put on a toomey 2into1 air filter setup,and LRD exhaust.I put in 330 main jets and needle clip on the middle clip with stock pilot and 2 turns out on the air screw.While I had it apart I removed the TORS box and cut the wires from the carbs and the thumb throttle a,d installed new plugs and fresh gas.It started up after 3 kicks and idled fine just smoked a lot but it was probably just the assembly lube burning off the piston.After it warmed up it pretty much quit smoking and would not idle any more.I had to pull the choke out to get it to start and it would only run if you gave it 1/4 throttle or more and if you lightly rev it it backfires and blows a blue flame out the left tailpipe only.Choke tube is on and I can't think of anything else it would be.
