  2. maybe i made it sound wrong..lol. it could be the crank seal that i can see.i just worded it wrong.. well today i got my noss head on( its like sex for a banshee)only thing im not impressed with is the way the fmf fatty's are riding the head on left side. i guess i can put a piece of rubber hose between the two, cause the pipe is not budging much. i hope to get my little 20 fin cooler tomarrrow and my a-arm skidz,i got clutch case bolts(allen head). on the way home i need to get the waterpump seal(i should have bought one w/new bearing) but i have my water pump cover and gasket(easy drain) ready for the new impeller. when im done with all of that stuff its time to put all new bearings front and rear. maybe it will be done to rip some dirt this week end..don
  3. i got a yamaha piece from ebay for $45 shipped brand new at dealer wanted $65 . don

  5. thanks guys!i think jeff told me after my port i should get 33 or 35's don't remember exactly. does a site sponser sell the boss intake those are looking pretty sweet. that bottle is really in the way. don
  6. now i know the very 1st post you guys told me to shit can the boost bottle (due to cracking the intake boots) well when i was installing my v force 3 reeds i was inpecting them as i took them off. well the one on the left side is cracked about an inch( it is no through) i know its only a matter of time.. so which i take would you guys(banshee gods) suggest me to buy,i have talked to jeff at fast about purchasing new carbs, but not about the intakes. i have seen several types. what do you guys use,or have experience with.....? thanks for your time don
  7. i got all of the hex heads for both covers,i think that i will look and see if i can get those tiny ones for the pick up and the wires on the back of the plate.. thanks for the suggestions. don
  8. i got all new bearings,motion pro tors kit,jet kit,billet water pump impeller,cover for it,adj timing plate,new chain and sproket,noss cool head, v force 3 power reeds,a inline cooler,a case of klotz, and a case of gear saver, a lonestat anti-vibe chrome steering stem,easy pull clutch lever and oh yeah the quad priceless.lol don
  9. are we sure it has gas in it?i know im a newb too but i have just completed the adj. stator mod,billet water pump impeller,v force 3 reeds,tors removal, and a noss cool head advance tp 4 deg jetted to where jeff at fast said to start and it surprisingly started after one kick! do your self a favor before you do anything you will regret later buy the clymers manual best $25 bucks you will spend. that was the first thing these guys told me. and before i started tearing into stuff i was reading about all of the involved components before.hope you get her running soon. don

  12. you should be ok.its normal to be a little freaked out. but everything will go good for ya! are they fusing them together and using a cage? there is also some new stuff out there that surgeon's are using it like spray foam and it replaces the squishy stuff that has been damaged. i have seen several back sergery's and those surgeon's are awsome and do awsome work. thats why they get paid the big bucks! don

  14. thanks, what does this mean in performance world? so on the stock head it looks like a piston did a slam dance and it must have taken .20 to clean it up. well what should i expect with this list of mods: adjustable stator (set on 4 deg) have the noss head with 21 domes. v force3 reeds, it has the fmf gold fatty's, also have a jet kit.. does this sound like a good set up? thanks for anyone's time in advance don russell
  15. i have my head off and was checking to see what had been done to the engine and it has wiseco pistons #513m06450. i think that means 64.50 but what does that mean in bore size to me? how far over am i? thanks for your time don
  16. just got the stock cages modified, got the head off getting ready to install my noss head.. looking at the old head something was playing around in the left cylinder. looks like she is running a little lean. if you have any suggestions on where to start with the jets please chime in..i live in ohio if that makes any diff. thanks for reading don
  17. wow, i just got done with my first mod. at first i did not know what i was going to do cause the screws were all booged up and could not get them out. well i went to the stealership and my boys hooked me up with free screws, believe that? so i got home and used my dremel and cut the old ones off on with the new. now i just bought this thing a few weeks ago and the guy told me it just got back from a major build did not know how to prove it ,but its a good sign when i had the stator cover off and seen everything clean and new crank bearing.cool i thought. well i was on the other side thinking about doing the water pump impeller(billet) and cranked the shee over 2 times bitch fired right up(i did advance to 4 deg) well i notice first off a difference. man these things love timing !!! well i just started on the tors mod,im going to go get at that.heck i might get the v force 3's on tonight too... don

    cheap stator

    i got the adjustable stator, i proceeded to take the other one off and the tiny little screws are so erroded i can't get them out... so i want the stator or screws and the little wire holders. thanks don

  20. noss head( 21) domes/all new bearings and seals/lone star chrome anti vibe stem/13 tooth front sprocket and new chain/ adj. timing plate thing/billet water pump impeller and new bearing/billet water pump cover(easy drain)/tors removal kit/v-force 3 power reeds,jet kit fmf fatty's (gold) for what ever that worth.lol this thing is gonna end up like my 1500hp mustang. don
  21. i have most of my parts do im going to go ahead start tearing her down, probably going to do the tors first,then i hope to get the bearings for axle 2 marrow. i hope i want to ride this thing so i can see the difference of all of the mods and the cash i have dumped into this bad A$$ machine.. if anyone has any precautions before i get started let r' rip. i do have my clymers book in hand ! don
  22. i just came from the stealership with a brand new lone star steering stem (chrome with the bar holders) for $240. i don't know what they cost butis that a good deal? don
