  1. well finally found some ported cylinders with pistons for $318 shipped. suppossed to be fresh with the second bore. now with the mods i have now- 2 into 1 intake ,v force 3 reeds, 4 deg adv. timing,noss head w/21 domes. also have 13 front and 41 rear sprockets. does this sound like i need to stop here so it will be a good trail,mx bike.. do the banshee gods think i need something else?? maybe a crank, this is the question. im not sure how much the stock crank will take but im sure there are limits..from the looks of things the motor has been split before i got it.not sure about what was done.. i know i installed the billet water pump, and a billet case saver from mod quad. so if there are any banshee owners out there with something similar please let me in( im not to partial to the 2 into 1 intake yet.so i will prob ditch that in favor of some 35pwks. thanks for any suggestions don russell
  2. ok i have the stock carbs w/tors removal done(idle screws installed,caps and new cable) the stock intakes, and stock reed cages w/boysen reeds,and the boost bottle, jet kit i just got from f.a.s.t., i have a stock head one cyl will need to be cleaned up a bit,clutch lever and perch i want $115 shipped for this stuff shipped, if you use paypal add 3% don
  3. i have the stock carbs that i installed the tors removal on. they come with the jet kit i just got from f.a.s.t. motion pro cables and caps ,screws installed. never even had them back on bike.i got the 2 into 1 so i just did not put them back on. have stock intakes and a boost bottle, stock clutch handle and perch,boysen reeds . feel free to make offers on this stuff. i can't give it away but will sell right. don

  8. well i guess that all there is left to do is get my shock redone and the spring will be here thurs. i have totally rebuilt the rear end all new bushings and bearings. as far as the engine goes i put adj timing on it at 4deg,billet water pump,installed a 32 fin cooler coming from head.i installed a noss head with 21 domes,v force 3's, and the trinity..just fired it up..filled carb hand kicked it over fired the 1st time! the idle was very low these pj's i really don't like how the idle is on choke.. does anyone have any idea what my compression should be around with the 21 domes and .20 over? don
  9. hey im sorry about not getting your set up .. it looked well used and the one i got is like brand new. just thought my lonestar stem was worth more than your stuff either way i told you to sell it brother! the whole reason behind that is if i don't like it i would really like to sell it and get my money back and i really did not feel that your was worth $200 let alone $350.thanks don
  10. wow peeps!!!im pretty much checkin this set up out i got it pretty cheap(trade)and its like brand new. yeah i know a banshee should not be in ass deep water, but thats like sayn you guys don't and should not ride on the street..lol its gonna happen out here on our farm or the forrest,not sayn thati will just go bonzi stupid find the biggest puddle possible. yes i agree that the eek needs to be droped to a i think i have dek,cek and i have jets from 150-175. i have already talked with jeff at f.a.s.t. about some pwk's i just want to check this out so i can form my own opion...yay or nay. as far as the box goes i guess i could always find a stock box if i jack mine up after doing this and then don't like it. thanks for all of the reply's. im a drag racer with 8 cyl should i have 8 carbs??don
  11. ok i have the trinity 2 into 1 set up and its got the eek needle on the 3rd clip 170 and 53 i live in ohio.now i know the instructions say to put hole in the air box,but im going to be doing some trail riding which may contain lots of mud and water. what would you suggest? it says 6-1" holes so the water can get out,what happens when the box gets kinda sub merged? yeah i know i should not be in that deep stuff but it happens. i sunk a bike all of the way to number plate.lol that was fun.. anyway what would you do? thanks for your time.don russell
  12. also info on pipes i want or need. timing +4,noss cool head (21 domes),trinity 2 into 1 (34pj), i have a 41 rear and a 13 front sprocket, im going to be riding trails. hope this info helps outas far as the pipes go if someone has some to get rid of pretty decent. don
  13. i also have a stock head, it looks like something slam danced in the one cyl. but i would say someone could use a dremel lightly and polish it out. stuff im looking for aftermarket shocks(preferably set up for a big dude 200-250) used set of a-arms.. maybe some exhaust( i have fmf fatty gold's) don

  15. yeah a nice putty knife sharpened on the end maybe a 2" one. also could use green scotchbrite. go to autobone there are solvents made for gaskets if they are on like metal.lol don

  18. i live in south east ohio(logan) my family has a huge farm that the athens motorcycle club runs qualifiers for austrailia enduros on. im lookin for new buds to go riding with. they are pretty nice, a few up hill jumps few straight aways. when i get my beast finished i will be tearing stuff up. don :biggrin:
  19. thats what i was looking for.i know when i first got here i was told to get the clymer manual, i am mechanically inclined not any real exp on wheelers but cars.i love this book. i would have not even attempted this if i would not have a book. i am looking for any experience about taking the seal out of (inside facing bearing, and filling up with grease) im hoping that it will help keep water out. and yes im looking forward to putting new bearing in every season(weather needed or not) they are not expensive. i still have to do the front end. trying to have everything as far as seals and bearings new before i ride it. and im still looking for someone that does not think they are gods gift to shocks to revalve the rear. don
  20. you could always put them on a necklace, on ebay?? maybe humpty would be interested..lol no i would put them on ebay each seperatly put no reserve and see how it goes.as a car guy they are really not worth that much unless its rare (like some old dodge stuff, or cobra emblems) don
  21. wow this was quite a job! i thought i could do this thing in my little shop..lol i had to take it down to my dads shop get the big guns out. them things were are f@#$@# up! the pivot and the carrier.thet sucked to get them out, but we got it done. we also pulled the inside facing bearing seal out and put in grease things on swing arm and carrier.i know there really is not a way to keep water out of these areas,but im gonna pack it with grease 1st! we also finished with the idle screw kit on the carbs, so after i torque the noss head down, i might just get stupid and fire it up! im still looking for a person or company that could revalve and set up my rear shock pretty decent lt priced. don
  22. well i got both...but i would probably do reeds 1st.just from what i have seen here at hq. i don't know how it runs yet still all torn down..lol don
