the flywheel can lose its magnetism, or can have a crack on the inside. the nut on mine came loose a cpl times causing me to have no spark

It's possible that your flywheel isnt good anymore, I doubt your stator is bad, maybe the flywheel hit the pickup coil, or maybe your flywheel still isnt on right. I had a problem with my flywheel coming loose so i ended up using some blue locktite on it.

I'm thinking that it's not gonna be worth saving, so i just bought a set of stock bore jugs that need to be bored to the first oversize.

I knew my compression was getting low 110 on one side 115 on the other, so I figured it was time for me to do my first top end and while I had the cylinders off I'd send them off for some porting. When I pulled the head off I knew I was going to need more than just a hone. I found lots of pitting on the side of the head that had 110 psi the other looked ok. When I went to pull the cylinder off the low side I noticed right away that one retaining clip was missing on that piston. The pistons have 75 stamped on the top, am I right in assuming that means 64.75 ?? here are a few pictures of the mess I found. I'm taking the cylinder to a machine shop tomorrow to see how much boring I need. I'm hoping its not so much that it isnt worth porting anymore, I'd like to have quite a few bores left if I were to port them. just from these pics do you guys think I have much life left in these cylinders? http://s172.photobucket.com/albums/w24/xsinnerx11/

Thanks for the replys guys, but just my luck their cpi's are out of stock, will just wait till they have more. I dont know how you guys do this shit, my shee is stock except for vf3 reeds advanced timing, welded crank, barnett clutch and a few cosmetic items.. asv levers, billit shifter, e-brake block off, tors removed and I just sold my t-6 pipes cause my compression was getting low 110 on both so I decieded I would rebuild my top end and while it was apart might as well get it ported. So now I thought, "hell might as well get a noss head also" was starting to think I better upgrade my suspention also, so now i need to get my rear shock rebuilt for me and decieded to pick up some of the wicked a-arms and some dual rate elka sport/race shocks. All this cause of some low compression, damnit!!!! carbs and +4 swinger will have to wait till next winter, hopefully i wont want a 4 mil by then or god forbid a freakin cub, this bike has already caused me to take a 2nd job!!! if anyone knows of a wealthy single woman that wants to blow all their money on me, point her my way pls.

not sure what forum to post this on so I figured this would be ok, anyways, I've been looking with no luck for some nice used cpi's or t-5's , I just sold my tr-6 pipes for 300 and was thinking about just buying the t-5's or cpi's new. I came across the cpi's from cascade innovations while surfing their site, my question is is their chroming that much better than what cpi does to warrant the higher price???
