Im not comparing them in anyway, im simply saying GSP is smart enough to take damn near any fighter out of their comfort zone to have an advantage. Not saying he could or would be able to do it with anderson, but i was only commenting on the fact you said he only takes guys down and controls them. Simply not true.

I agree with some of that. But GSP does not really have a size advantage and does not only take guys to the ground and control them. He beat Josh Koscheck at his own game, stood up and battered him for 5 rounds, made Jon Fitch stand and battered him as well. The guy is just very intelligent and can come up with a plan to beat just about anybody. Im pretty excited for the fights this weekend... Got a chance to meet Anthony Johnson and he is cool as hell. Big dude to be making 170 though. (Im 175 in this pic and he makes me look tiny) I think Rumble and Hardy will be a good scrap.

I find this all rather hillarious. Silva is calling out GSP, saying he is scared to take the fight because he could lose... Yesterday Silva and Dana release a statement saying after UFC 128 Anderson Silva has no desire to return to 205 to face Jon Jones. (cant find the link, had it yesterday, i will keep looking)

I have actally heard quite oppoisite if this fight being confirmed. GSP still has a fight, he would have to gain a considerable amount of weight before he would fight anderson, and that would leave silva sitting out for another 9 months after the Shields vs. GSP fight. I heard Silva is going to end up taking the Okami fight that Okami earned and then see what goes from there. IMO GSP is too small for MW anyway, he is only 5'11'' and there are guys like Silva, and Okami that are massive compared to that. Id like to see him stay right where he is and be the 170 champ as long as he can.

I think Bigred and I are the only guys still alive that use to be on DR. He is the only one I ever see or hear from that was on there.

You could see after that first exchange that shogun had no change against the reach and ground game of Jones. I dont see anybody beating him anytime soon.

I dont think it matters if Daley wins, loses, or doesnt fight Diaz at all, when his contract is up there is no way he is working for Zuffa ever again. Will be back to Bamma making McDonalds wages fighting in the UK again.

that is what scares me for shogun, i think Jones has way better chokes and ground game then Forrest does.

Jones' resume only looks the way it does now because he has only been in the sport for a couple years, kinda hard to compare Shoguns (a legend of the sport) and Jones' (rising newcomer) resumes, really doesnt prove anything. I really like both guys so im not going to be upset with either guy losing. I think Jones will win this though, 10" reach advantage, very unorthidox, and amazing wrestling. I see him getting a choke in this fight. Jones looked absolutley massive compared to Shogun at the press conference today, going to be hard for shogun to use his leg kicks and strikes when he is at such a huge reach advantage. Other factor is you never know how shoguns knees are going to feel... always in question. Who did you want to get the title shot Michael Jackson? Rampage turned it down, rashad is hurt, t. silva is on the positive drug test right now, and out of the top 10 guys left that leaves Couture, Machida, and Griffin... no thanks on any of those fights over Jones. I think he is well deserving of a title shot.

A little bummed this isnt like the WEC buyout and merger. I was hoping all the strikeforce fighters would be able to fight in the UFC, but that isnt the case. Cant even consider coming over to the UFC unless thier contracts are up, and Dana actually wants them in the UFC. Strikeforce is now owened by Zuffa but will still be ran by Scott Coker. My biggest riff with this whole things is Paul Daley may pull out of this April 9th title fight vs. Nick Diaz now so he wont be making Dana White or ZUffa any money. Had the making to be a great standup war, hopefully he wont back out for petty shit like he clamis he will.
