  1. Ok here is the situation guys. I put T6 pipe and rejeted 280 main jet at sea level with K&N filter. Everything was fine until yesterday mourning the f@#king TORS failed. But it just cut the fuel on the left cylinder. I manage to started it before i realize the TORS failed but just run on one cylinder and no idle. Than i start playing with the wiring on the trothle switch, i finally ended up unpluging the 3 wires TORS connectors and cutting the wire that go in the TORS body. Problem solve but no idle,so we play with the air screw and, probably a mistake, play with the screws on top of the TORS to manage to have a idle. Turned out we set a idle speed and i went riding it. Was not running perfect like before but run good. The problem is, it stall on me in 5th twice, like if i runned totaly out of fuel. And for some occasion it did<nt want to take it gas, like runnig full throtle and let it go and hit it again and dont want to take it. So do anybody have a clue of whats going on with that? could the sync of the carbs do that kinda things? or the damn TORS? And dont tell me to get a TORs elimination kit i look for it and could find any to be ship to Canada, so if you can help me with that too. Thanks for your time guys.
  2. How much did you pay for the whole set up, shocks and a-arms?? I am not into MX but i defenitly want to upgrade that suspension to a respectable level. What is the point of having all that power and not getting right to the ground? And man trails are bumpy like crazy here, they use a old railroad track, without the rails, for the main trails. It's like riding on a infinite small whoops sand section.
  3. That is a good suggestion, and they really look good, only problems is that they dont ship to Canada. Thank guys you are a really good help for me
  4. Yup you should have mentioned it before  I will keep looking until i have my mind set, but so far quick sand look like the best compromise of quality and price.
  5. Grinding metal out of a brand new product, that is not really what i am looking for, when buy something i want it ready to roll. But Quicksand defenitly look soplid and well manifactured. For shocks when i will replace all the front end i will go with Elka if i can afford it, i will support my country  but im open to any suggestions.
  6. Life issue is a good point but money is another. Ugly a-arms, that doesnt inspire cofidence Like many of you i dont have a endless budget or i will go with leager all the way. But when you mean stand the abuse, can you describe what is your kind of abusing plz? Looking at the two product, i believe the same things as you are, ASR look better than Full flight. By the way i don't race so an average kind of a-arm would do good for me. One more thing, not symetrical?? WTF??
  7. Ok east coast buddy, but can you explain me why you would not spend money on these a-arms?? I think it really suck that there is no aftermarket shops where i can go and see the products.
  8. I have found those two set of a-arm +2,+1 and i was woundering if you guys have any experiences with these? ASR or Full Flight Racing? http://cgi.ebay.ca/ASR-Yamaha-Banshee-2-Up...1QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.ca/BANSHEE-2-1-A-ARMS-FULL...1QQcmdZViewItem They look like a good deal to me. thank you.

    A-Arms

Duh! sorry about it dude. I ride mostly trails, a lot bumpy and some sand pits. No mx cause theres is only one track here that is forbiden for wheelers. So open bumpy trails and woods trails

    A-Arms

Yah but cutting a inch on the back that will centered the weigth even more? i am looking to know what is the best setup the improve handling on that beast. I know aftermarket shock is on of it, but geometry speaking adding inchs here and there look to be the only way. So what is the best setups so far?

    A-Arms

Good day suspension gurus. Can you explain me the pros and cons on these two set up? What are the advantages the add +1 up front? and those it means you have to shorten the rear??? thanks for all your wisdom

Thats all make sense. I was also looking at the frame and thinking of cutting and welding it for modification. My banshee is brand new so i will wait some times before doing it or maybe i'll buy a used frame. Tell me if you do it or if you get more info about it.

    can i?

Thanks man, that was my next question because they have to order it at the shop. I will go with the panther.

I have reed many things on the dinosaur age frame of the banshee, especially on the MX forum. Does any body can explain me what is wrong with that frame?? I am also a mountain biker so i understand what the right numbers and angles at the right place can do but i can't see it on a wheeler frame. What is the banshee frame compare to the famous 250r frame?? thank

    can i?

No it's not a lot of effort, i was just asking before i take any tools to open it up
  17. 3

    can i?

the pipes have around 12 hours of riding. No packing?? i have to take a look at it. By the way is some body ever cut open these pipes?? they are so heavy its look like they are filed with something.
  18. does anyone know if i can use the packing of a stock pipes to repack a set of aftermarket pipes?? I know it's a weird question but at least my stock pipes would serve at somethings else than scrap metal :baseballcap_blue: thanks
  19. Hi everyone, i know most of you are far ahead of me on tunning and mods but yesterday i found a cheap mod that can be usefull. It work for a K&N filter on a stock airbox. You can make an adapter plate for that aftermarket filter by using the stock filter cage and plate. Its easy as taking whatever tools you like to cut hard plastic, first you cut the outer ring on the plate where the foam filter seat and take care of not cutting the inside ring. Then you cut the cage like frame that support the foam filter, some handsanding for finishing and there you have a perfect fit for you K&N filter or a spare plate. Hope it will help some people who just get the addiction of the Banshee.
  20. Thank dude, i am a mountain biker too and i was already looking at these front shocks who look like Canadian tire shock on their 200$ mountain bikes. Right now i can have a good deal on a set of used Toomey T6, so i will start with it and with all the previously mentioned stuff than go with the suspension. Is it a good move to buy used pipes?? just repacking it must do the job ??
  21. Ok, as a HQ Legend do you have any other suggestions for that kind of tunning?? i am trail riding mostly so maybe a little low or mid range wouldnt hurt. Or any other good upgrade like suspension.
  22. Alright, good to know. One more question, what kind of oil will be a good choice?? i start with yamahalube R2 because it look like logic and where i live there is not a big aftermarket buisness. So what is your recommendation for a main stream brand of oil?? thanx guys
  23. Ok, i think i could'nt be more at sea level i'm right next to the Atlantic ocean. So starting from stock engine, new pipes, advance timming, jetting and some mods on the air box it's going to be good with premium pump gas?? no domes for now, until i have to open the engine. thanx man
  24. I just saw on the net what is the recommended oil/gas ratio from Yamaha for a stock Banshee with Yamahalube, 24:1. So is 32:1 is going to do any hurt on a stock engine?? thank you
  25. Yes i just got a Banshee, and man i am excited like a kid on Christmas mourning :yelrotflmao: . My first question to you all is how far can i go on tunning up my ride without having to use race fuel?? Oh yeah you will probably says ``you will end up using race fuel anyway because you own a Banshee`` but i still want to know what i could modify before having to make the move. thank you
