I have a twist and I want a thumb. My friend has a thumb throttle off a warrior. I would just have to get a cable but Im not sure if they are the same. are they?????? any help is always appreciated thanks guys!!!!

ya guys mine seems to run great but I just cant figure it out. the other pipe is blowing the same amount of air out but its clear and the left side is thick smoke. Ill let ya know what the head gasket does for me My other banshee never did that??? thanks!!!!

Its the left side thats doing it, Its only really noticable when its cold or at low r's. Im in the process of replacing the head gasket because I thought it might be that. I just purchased it a week ago and Its an 01 that has been sitting for about 2 years. The carbs where all messed up when I got it but I went right through them and got them all cleaned up and in sink and its still doing it. I will let you know if the new head gasket works. thanks. also I know this isnt the right forum for this type of question but I usually get the best responses in this forum. I thought there was a place on this site to see pics of every banshee they ever released. I just wanna see pics of the stockers Im looking for a white radiatior shroud and I dont know if they ever made any. Mine is white and I like it but it was painted that color and its starting to chip and I cant have that thanks guys

My new banshee smokes out of one exhaust pipe way more than the other especially when its cold. I put my hand in front of the exhaust and it feels like the same pressure comming out of each pipe just one is smokey and the other clear?? My conpression is 125 in each cylinder and the carb slides couldnt be closer, jetts are all the same in both sides any help would be appreciated

The idle kit isnt in the carbs and I dont have it I bought it with the twist on it and Id rather have a thumb

I have a twist throttle in excellent condition with aftermarket carb tops and I need a thumb throttle in excellent condition with a cable that will fit the aftermarket carb tops. If anyone wants to trade their thumb for a twist let me know asap [email protected] Thanks!!

Ive seen a few of the j arm banshees around that have been running since the 80's with no bends. If you dont run into shit you prolly won't bend one. Its not as strong as A arms but keep it on the trail and I think you'll be fine.

In not sure what this bike is worth Its a 89 250R with all original plastics. The only noticable blemish is the grab bar is bent up into the plastic and caused a 3 inch crack in the fender. It has a dg pipe and really long durablue axle. Other than that I think ist all stock. Still on the stock bore. I know the guy who owns it and everyone in our town has tried to buy it from him at one time or another and he would never let it go but I think I can get it right now. He is sick of it taking up space in the garrage. He never rides it, He has 6 quads and they are all big 4x4s thats what he rides. I just need to know what its worth. any help would be great.

I just bought an o1 alba banshee with flame graphics, sst's, K&N, and twist throttle with hardly any riding on the stock tires it is near mint with the acception of some scratches on the rear grab bar for $3450.00 If that gives ya an idea

boy that really sucks. shit like that happens every day all over the world and I hate to see it. I had a freind killed on a snowmobile this year and it just really sucks to have to go through that shit. He had a wife and 3 kids the oldest was 10 now what will happen with them. Its just a big bummer!!

I put blaster pegs on my shee and it did move it back a couple inches but I really didnt notice much in a change in comfort. I am 6ft5 250lbs and I didnt have any bent bolts and my dg alloy nerf bars bolted right on. and you can get blaster pegs offf ebay for like $15 you still have to shorten your shifter and brake peddle but that will be the case with any peg mod like that. hope this helps

I live in upstate NY and I have been in some serious mud with my old shee. I had that thing burried in sloppy ass mud in 2nd gear pegged with mud flying 40 feet in the air and 50 feet behind me it was fukin awsome. everyone standing around cheering ,its great. I passed a scrambler 400 4x4 stuck in a mud hole once and plastered him with mud (he was good natured about it) That is what convinced me that you dont need 4x4. I can go anywhere they can.

ya its just another automatic atv. same setup. Automatics are good for taking off in a race because the power is so constant but they level right off in a hurry. No doubt youll smoke him. Id put a fifty on it if he will. quick cash, then you can buy him a beer at the next stop with his money.

I'll prolly ebay it and get a degree key with the money It'll just be in my way when Im workin on the carbs and I dont really care about looks under the plastic. Its all about SPEED!!! for me. Thanks, guys!!

that sucks I live in NY I would bring $1000 buy everything that was worth it and sell a bunch on ebay and double my money.

I am wondering if this has ever been settled? I am looking to buy a banshee that has a boost bottle on it and I have heard that they do give some power, some say they loose power, some say they dont really do anything.. What do all of you think??? should I take it off and sell it on ebay or just leave it on and forget about it?? Thanks in advance

The 450 moves but throw a set of pipes and reeds in your shee and smokem all day long They are really close to maxed out in power from the factory, you can get a little with a pipe but other than that there isnt much that can be done for the extra $1000 they paid for the 4-joke You can put that money into your shee and really smok-em :flame:
