I hear ya bro, like i stated to Tito... i wasn't pushin him off, just making sure that he tries to search before asking a ? that has been coved a million times. I know for me personally, the search is the first place i look. My ?s get awnsered faster that way, and im not bugging peeps with the same ? over and over. oh and BTW i did tell Tito what i use. Hey Tito, So, this ? has been asked a million times...... Did you try the search? You'll find most of your ?s awnsered there, and get your awnsers alot faster that way. Not pushin ya off bro, Just this is a topic that has been cover alot. you'll find its a matter of opinion on all the oils most other shit too. Personally, i run Bel-Ray gear saver, But everyone has there own opinion on whats best. Try the search, you'll see whjat i mean Aaron

Not possitive, but i think i remember reading something about the jetting having something to do with hard starts. Couldn't find it in the search. Anyhow, Just got my motor back from Jeff and i had to kick it about 50 times to get her to fire. I have 140 compression in both sides and i know she should fire first or second kick. After shes warm she fires on one kick no prob. Slides are in the right sides i double checked that. I broke her in properly. Running 32-1 fuel And she is a rocket with that port job. After she is warmed up she runs AWESOME!! So i know im close on the jetting. Anyways, what do guys think about the hard start? Mods are in my sig. Thanks Aaron

Hell ya!! I'm still stoked, and hope to be in good enough condition to make it to St. Anthony's this june. Only a 6 hour drive for me

So Yesterday i get the call ive been waiting for from Jeff. Motor was shipped this morning and ill be getting it on Thursday. I cant rven rememer everything Jeff did to it. I think new pistons, Woods port, Vforce3's, true and weld crank, billet impeller, stronger clutch spings, Fast head w/20cc domes, and some other misc. things This things gonna be a rocket compared to what it was, I'm stoked!!!!! Thats the good news. The bad news..... I BROKE MY FUCKING SHOULDER!!!!!! A 3 inch fracture that starts on the front om my shoulder socket and goes to the outside of the socket. and to top it off, i ruptured my rotator cuff also. Happened snowboarding, ate shit so hard. I go in tomorrow to see a specialist to see exactly how bad and if i'll need surgery. Story of my life... everyday's a perfect 10!!!! So..... hows everyone else doing? LOL

Ya, I'll talk to Jeff and see what he says. Probably have him through in some extra Jet sizes just for shits and giggles. I ride anywhere from 2600-4500 ft. Anyone here use that Dial-a-jet thing?

Ya, i'll have to remind myself to take it slow Been waiting awhile to ride now and i can see myself rushing it I am excited as hell and really want to feel the power

Have pics posted on here somewhere....anyhow, My buddy's Kfx, maxed out in 5th was like nothin. I was toyin' with him when i was in 5th then hit sixth and, SEE YA! Serious though, my motor blew the next weekend so i know mine wasn't up to par and still rolled him! KFX400= Shee=

Well, First of all.... I Have to say thanks for all the awesome input and knowledge in the HQ! You guys rock!!! OK, So..... I'm getting my motor back from Jeff. I AM STOKED!!!! I've done ASSLOADS or research using the search key. Have the oils figured out..... read lots on jetting( which still scares me ) .... and i know theres as many opinions as assholes out there. My main ?... Is there anything extra i need to know or be wary of when putting the new motor in? I mean, i dont want to fuck up an AWESOME build and $1500 because i forgot ( or didn't know ) something stupid. I respect you all for a hell of alot more then you'll ever know for your knowledge and patience. I try my best to search my ?'s before i just ask because most have been asked alot..... My main fear is to fuck up good work and hard cash. I don't want that to happen. I dont mean Just installing the motor... i mean.... What is it that ya'll do to make sure that everything is cool? Maybe im just being paraniod... but i really want my investment to last awhile. Although i don't know Jeff for shit... He is highly recommended and i trust his work. So... i want to make sure this thing runs good for a long time. Sorry bout the babbling... just trying to get my concerns across. Any and all advise/opinions/help is GREATly appritieated* Aaron

I've done alot of work to my shee in the last three months (well, maybe not that much). I don't know that much about them yet. This is what i've done in short: Removed tors added ricky stator timing plate & stator added boost bottle changed pilot to 30 ( was stock 25 ) have 260 mains elev. 2200-2800 ft. fmf gold series ( old i'm sure ) she runs really good but the low end is kinda boggy ( I think ) when i start her, she will start first or second kick w/ no choke. Heres one of my main concerns, when she starts, the idle revs very high without me giving any gas. Then after about 2-3 seconds, the idle slowly returns to normal. After riding for 20-30 mins, idle starts to go away and i have keep giving gas to keep her running Also, problem is , I don't know if I have the new idle screws correct b/c they don't seem to do much either way I turn them ( a little but not much ) To me, she really runs good for the most part. Maybe I need someone who knows what their doing to take a look at her. But I don't have the kinda money to through at the stealership Anyways, what do you guys think? ( Just try think of the first time you tore your shee apart, thats about where my knowledge is at this time )

convince me i need a banshee instead of a 450r
flyingkermit replied to wannashee's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Srry, wasn't tyying to insult you the future is into 4 strokes, its sad but it true the addreneline you get from a shee is un-explainable its almost like having sex for the first time,... you get on her and BAM! your moving so fast, and its exciting, and the thing you know , it's over and you can't wait to do it again!!! ( unlike being married ) it's a passion like no other, and belive me, I've only had mine for a few months and riding her is like being de-virginized a over again HAHAHAHAHA! -

I DID IT! I DID IT! :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao: man i'll tell you what, I am so relieved Sunday night I was pulling my hair out kickin myself in the arss wondering what the hell I've done ( pistons out, clylinders off, carbs torn apart, new stator in the box ) I put her together last night and Shee started third kick  . Still don,t know how shes gonna run but she kick starts and thats more then she did before I know working on Banshees is second nature for alot of you, but for a first- timer its more than nerve racking Anyways, thanks for everones help.
