  1. Well I've got a few hits from some guys with 421 setups that might like to trade, so I guess throw that in the pot too  I'm guessing the 4mil on the cub will help out some with the bottom end. And I'm running a ton of compression as well so I think this would help some too. Hm, a 421 play bike :ermm:
  2. Try to find a track around you. Most of the drag parks in OK sell race fuel.
  3. I've got one guy interested in them at $450, he was the 1st to PM me at that price. If someone wants these for more lmk. Won't have pics of the porting until after this weekend sorry. As for the chip in the cylinder these are the pics I sent to Kevin to get his diagnosis. He said it won't affect anything and to just chamfer the edge and check the piston-wall clearances. Everything checked out fine after I did that and I've been running it ever since.
  4. Hell no. If it's all black leave it all black.
  5. I'm running 18cc domes, never checked the squish though. Had 185/180 psi last time I checked so I would think that's about where it should be.
  6. Yes but not in the price. I know how much those things cost to build unfortunately...but i'll pm ya anyways, lol

    WTB 4mil crank

  8. Either a cub or a 4mm drag port stock cylinder. These cylinders porting will not transfer over to a 4mm...so
  9. Wanting to go to something bigger this summer so these will be going up for sale most likely. They are a strong dune port by Kevin for my T-5's but run awesome with shearers. He said he did some pretty wicked durations and transfer work to them. They are bored .020 over and have wiseco pistons that will come with it, along with pins and bearings. They were powdercoated satin black last summer which I believe is still in great condition. I haven't had the cylinders off all season because they ran great and I had no issues at all. They do have a piece cracked off of the very bottom of the skirt but I talked with Kevin and this does not affect them at all and he told me how to fix them and I have had no issues at all. Sorry I don't have any pics of the portwork right now but I think there's a set on his site you can look at if you want to see what the portwork looks like, not like anyone can really tell how a bike will run by looking at the porting. But I will tell you these cylinders with the T-5's and stock carbs, stock head will outrun any of the 'modded' 4strokes. I will get some pics in 2 weeks when I am done with school, and this is also the time I will pull them off the bike. I am wanting to get $450 shipped for everything OBO depending on location.
  10. I don't think a 4mm dune ported motor would ever hang with a stock stroke cub, at least not the 2 that my buddies have built. What I said is if I decide to do a 4mm stock cylinder bike the one's I have won't work so I'll have to sell the ones I have and find some new ones, find a 4mm crank, and pay for all new porting...which sucks cuz you never get your money back on porting, plus the waiting time...etc. Otherwise I could just sell the ones I have, get a cub, bolt it on and go. I'm confused myself because I've read alot of replies from guys that say cubs don't have any less bottom-end then a stocker it's just the powerband comes in later and hits so much harder.
  11. So how do you know they weren't legit? And that's your bike...just not you riding it?
  12. I guess i'll just have to accept the sacrifice of losing some low-end to get more of a drag bike. I don't wanna mess with a 4mm stocker now b/c the cyls. I have now can't be ported for a 4mm and i don't wanna fuck with selling these and trying to find some new decent ones and all that crap.

    +4 swingarm

Got a +4 chrome, holler if u want some pics, roundhouse carrier style. It'll be a few weeks till i have it off the bike but if u want it i'll reserve it for you. Wanting 275 shipped OBO or maybe less depending on your location.
  15. Well we do more dragging then just ridin around now. But I still need something that is 1/2way capable of doin it.
  16. Yeah its just a copy of the Slingshot lockup I think.
  17. This is not going to be a drag bike so lock-up and override will come later. I've already got swinger, gettin some carbs from a buddy, and might try my T-5's on it just for shits. It's not gonna cost me a whole lot more to go to the cub after I sell what I have and switch to bigger/better stuff. I don't like hearing that its really gutless down low but we'll see
  18. I think I can sell my stockers to pay for around 1/2 of a cub. And if I end up with a 68mm bore cub I already have some domes to fit that so that's good. And like everyone says you'll wanna go bigger in the end, most likely end up with a 4mm in it. I always say that I want to keep some of the low-end for playing around but most of the time we just end up drag racing everywhere we go lol. As long as it's still duneable and I can play around at the river some i'm golden.
  19. I've got some stock cyls. dune ported by Kevin right now, they're great for what I do right now but just not fast enough at LS and the river, so it's time to upgrade. I'm either going to upgrade to a drag port by him or get a stock stroke cub. Which option would you guys (hopefully with these motors/experience) suggest for a duner/play bike. Which would have more bottom end. I'm going to run Shearers most likely with 34 or 35 carbs, 180 lbs. of compression and 5-6 degrees timing, etc. Just weighin the options right now.
  20. When you ordered all that from Jeff did you tell him what the problem was and see if he could diagnose it? Anyway you could take a video of what it's doin, i'm very curious.
  21. Are you sure that's the problem? I'm not sure I've ever heard of one case where that went bad, at least not on HQ or PS. I wouldn't think that would cause the basket to be loose where you could pull it in/out...
  22. It must be part of the gear and all b/c i know you don't have to switch the bushing over when you put the gear on a new billet basket. And I'm guessing that's gonna be a yamaha part only but you might get lucky. I wanna say try Grainger or someone like that for a new one, maybe some of the :geek: 's will know of a place to get them.
  23. Hwy 79 down by Waurika if you like sand and some pretty good trails.
  24. Unless you're really high elevation i would think 93 would be ok on that compression, at least it has been on some bikes in the group of guys i ride with.
  25. Do billet basket's not come with that? I'm confused on what all you've ordered and tried now with all the posts.
