05 Shee LE, FMF's, Pro Flow with K&N, FMF Boost (probably worthless), and thats about it other then 290 mains. I am ready to step up the power but where do I go next, I am assuming reeds but I want more than that. I ride alot of State Parks in Ohio for the hill climbs, do some drags, and ride MX when I get a chance. I am looking for a little more top but I would really love some low end fow the hills. Any suggetions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

HOW AM I GETTING BEAT BY A PREDATOR?

The predator is not walking me by any means, I take him out of the whole but like I said its 5th that is killing me... I am front but it seems once I hit 5th it doesn't want to see that great shee power band. It just kinda sits there as he pulls away. It is a brand new predator with aftermarket exhaust and intake...I have pulled and 03 several times without a problem...maybe this kids running something I don't know of. -

Its a dirt track, I am launching in 2nd but he stays about side by side with me, its when I hit 5th he pulls away, it feels like it is alot doggier than what it should be. I have enough room to hit 6th but the RPM's aren't right, I have tried hitting 6th but it bogs down and he is gone....any suggestions on going to a 13 tooth front sproket instead of the 14 ? -
2005 Shee, K&N, FMF's, FMF Boost Bottle (probably worthless), 290 Jets...predator takes me every time. I am not topping it out, the place we run I only get through 5th, do I need to drop or tooth or where can I pick up some power from. Any suggetions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

2005 Banshee, super low hours. I baught a little less than a year ago brand new, put alot of money in it, and then never ride. DG front bumper, Pro Flow adapter, K&N intake, Nerf Bars, 280 main, FMF Pipes, FMF Boost Bottle. Shee has never been fliped or rolled, I rode around our pharm, not much wear and tear due to the low amount of hourse it has been ridden. To be honest the I payed top dollar for the quad so I am just trying to get what I can out of it, but I owe a little over 8,000 for it now, but I will take what I can. I am in the Air Gaurd and I am getting called up for Iraq, so I do not want the quad to sit for 2 years. I go to the state parks alot and climb hills and I am tired as shit of my buddy's predetor going everwhere and me having to get off and lift my rear end off whatever it is hung up on. Is the only way to fix this is tires/rims. If so where do you find the bigger height and prics roughly. Like I said it is noobish so feel free to go into deatail......lol. Thanks for the help HQ'ers

What exactly do the air screws do. I know again, another nooby question, I got the shee up and running, FMFS, K&N with pro folow, FMF Boost Bottle, and 280 Jets with Stock Pilots, where should me air screws be??? I am in ohio and I motocross and climb massive hills so I don't need massive rpms, I need more power than anything. Also.....................WTF are TORS? Thanks for the help! Zach

Thanks everyone so much for the help. I have always been a car guy and a bike (street bike) kinda guy. Quads with dual everything is way new and its nice to get some help sometimes. I am gonna tear it down this weekendm, so to make sure I should focus on the carbs and cables right? Thanks again everyone for the help

My bad Dudes, forgot to mention. I am positive carbs are in right and I have K&N Airfilter with proflow adapter. I have the 280s I put in but no mater what I run 220-280 it backfires and revs all the way up. Any ideas ?

05 SHEE, I took of the box lid, FMF's, FMF Boost Bottle, and took it out running only 220 Jets. I didn't get into it at all, just rode around easy and got on it a couple times and it was fine. No problems what so ever. I then checked around and found I should be running about 280s. I switched the Jets and then when I started it the left side was running weak as hell, backfiring, and I have more throttle than anyone could ever imagine. I touch my throttle and it revs about 3/4's. You can barly ride it. I figured it might be a plug and loading up so I switched the plugs and it did the same thing on the left side. I figured maybe what I heard about 280's was way wrong so I went back down to 220's and it is still doing the exact thing. Backfiring and reving all the way up. I baught the quad Brand new about 4 months ago. I have went over everything with a fine tooth comb, there is NO AIR LEAKS. WTF IS IT???????????????????

definetly was being an idiot and when my buddy was kicking it with the choke out, decided to KICK it back in. This in return bent the shit of it, which in return led to me snapping the choke lever off halfway down. Anyone with an old set of carbs that would like to get ride of the choke that would be awesome. PM ME PLEASE !

Plugs look OK, but I went climbing this weekend and didn't run into the high RPM range, the shee did fine but when I'm comming into gear to start I just have to rev the hell out of it to get her moving without boggin. Thanks for the awesome choke trick, I'll try it this weekend. The nearest shop is down from where I work (about an hour and a half from home). The piolets just as cheap as the mains ? Is it worth my money to go ahead and move up a size or to ? I only plan on adding more power so should I go ahead and stick them in if I am going to be pulling the bowls off all weekend. Thanks guys and I really appreciate the help on this !

OK fellas, 05 SHEE, proflow with K&N with a box lid that really doesn't count as a lid, mostly holes, and FMF's. I have 260 main jets and it screams top in. If I am in neutral and peg it it bogs, almost dieing before it will rev it. It sounds like it's getting to much air on the bottom end. I moved the clips down 1 to the 4th, I am in ohio (average temp and elivation), where do I need to get the extra fuel for the bottom end at ???
