  1. I have a used 421 cub set up you will get the cylinders pistons head domes trany cases crank. Basicly you get the whole motor less the stator and clutch side. 1800.00 I figured I better add a little more it is a good running motor was just built this year. It is being sold to go big no other resone. It will come with a noss head you can choose the domes you would like. Cases are ok not the best but not real bad. I can get pic if you would like but everyone should know what a cub motor looks like

  5. I dont have to imagine. Back in the day I had a 7mm cub built by K&T and they set it up at .028 and .032 and look out that motor ran for 15 min the first time the second time after I cought what happend and had him "fix" it it ran fo 30min the piston hits the head and then the skirt rocks into the side of the cylinder you hope the top of the piston breaks before the skirt. But anyway it hit the head and did not live long

  7. Thats what I am going to do this week. take my pipes to the shop and weld, both where broke. Also a cranker is a huge amount of maintance. you have to tighten every nut bolt and what not after every weekend. The list of stuff I had to do after one weekend. Replaced the backing plate and cushins replaced the inner outer hubs replaced the lock up replaced the clutch replaced out put shaft nut and washer need to weld both pipes need to weld my fuel tank needed to jb weld my left carb brcause they where bored to 41.5 and cracked around the inlet and had a small leak ( found that because I am anal about keeping things clean) remount my plastics becuase it ratelled every nut and bolt out and the plastics fell off Also we call it leakenstine becuase the dam thing leaks fluids you did not even know it had. Some of the repairs where not all from one weekend and my be from a longer period of time but thats the mataince you have with these things. You can see vidio of it on my myspace page the link is below. I was racing a 480 YFZ with a 20hp shot of nos and he was spraying. It is better to find a used one then to build one due to the $10,000 price tag to build one. I was able to get mine for right about $8500 for the bike and all. Thats after I bought other stuff for it. sorry for the sloppy spelling iI need to go back to the 5th grade LOL

  9. this is what I would do as far as mods. When you mod are limited you have to start thinking out side of the box to be fast. Like others have said tire and set up are key.As far as the motor I would look into stright cut gears as it will free up a few horse and reduce the side load on the crank. Also I would put tz or max load crank bearings on as it would free up some power as well. Ok now here is something that is often over looked domes in your head. You have a pro design right ? the squish angle is safe it matches the angle on the dome of the piston.Noss domes (the ones I have seen) have a little bit more angle what this does is speeds up the mixture towards the center of the dome. This lets it rev a bit faster freeing up horse power. There is a draw back you have to control the detonation a bit more. You could also call you favorite builder and talk about custom domes for you. I would also do the v-force reeds . Also make sure you have the plug gap and pic up gap set correct. I would also switch to a four ply k&n style filter at the track. This is what I would do and is IMO.

  14. I am looking to trade my 10mm super cub bike for a 2003 or newer raptor 660 plus some cash. I may take a complete trade for a raptor and YFZ or banshee. Basicly I think this bike is worth at least 7500.00. The raptor MUST BE stock. This 10mm is fast it only lost to an 18mm drag bike at walden. I half tracked a cr500 dirt bike. The only reson I am getting rid of it is becuase I want a dune bike and it is to hard to mantian 2 drag bikes out on the dunes. Please no BS offers

  17. sound like it got lean because the weather changed on you it got colder. Then you richend it up and it seemed to help(and the air screew did not help) I would put the needle back and try it ifthat doesent help start with the air screews.

  21. Hey no problem I like it when things go fast.Many other banshees up there? How did people like your wrap? We need to get a drag axle and super lite tires on there and it will pick up 2-4 bike leghts. Glad you are happy. :thumbsup:
