  1. Actually you are misinformed. Trinity does all of the machining on there cheetahs. They get a bare cast from someone (maybe CP Industries), and then they do all the machining and porting. On the cylinders and head. Then they are sent to millenium for coating. I dont know if the cubs are the same way or not.
  2. In Trinity's defense I want to say that they have been cooperative in trying to solve the problem and have even tried to comensate me . Nonetheless, they are sending me the 4th motor as we speak, and I'm starting to wonder if i should contact "Calvin" before I even assemble it.
  3. I am having similar problems with my 421 cheetah. My plug was yellow and it was getting too hot. I suspected a coolant leak also so i checked the o-ring groove depth and found that they are too deep. there is not enough squish on the o-ring. You may want to check yours.
  4. Anyoen else having trouble with Cheetah cylinder head o-rings?
  5. Yeah, any idea why it siezed.
  6. Thanks for the advice.
  7. Free advice: BUY THE TOOL I dont think there is any way of getting it off without messing it up without causing damage. I learned the hard way. A three armed puller is sure to damage it and, if you hit it with a hammer, it can loose it's magnatism. {is that a word?). Most bike shops have the tool in stock and its cheap. good luck.
  8. First of all thanks for your opinion. I do have the Dyna box already. I had Trinity reprogram. Is that what you mean by programming to my motor or is there more to it than that? Also i have 35 PWK's with 55 pilots, wich to me seams a little fat already. I sprayed the carb boots and base gasket down and there didn't seem to be any leaks. Still think maybe lean? How much advance did you run? I have my adjustible plate at 2 degrees, and my box on the number 2 seeting. Tunning this motor is obviously new to me, so any advice wiil be appreciated.
  9. I just assembled and installed a 421 Cheetah p.v. in my 04. I used a Ricky Stator 200w stator. I have barely ridden it, (still working out the bugs). Its running well but Harry at Trinity says the bike will not run correctly with it, anyone have any experience with this settup? Also when I first let off the throttle it idles a little high, but then after 5 to 10 secconds it idles down fine, any thoughts?
