  1. There's a guy local to me whose parting his shee, he's got this motor: " I would part it out but what kind of parts do you want or need.right now all parts have less than 2 hours on them 4 mill cub cylinders 4 mill,5 mill long rod hot rod crank paul turner cool head with a couple sets of domes billet water pump pro design 2into1 stave IV intake with a new 38mm mikuni pwk carb k&n large filter direct drive clutch lockup new dirt digger race clutch and springs grand river see through side clutch cover If your really interested make me a offer the only thing the motor needs to run is a set of pistons and a head gasket-my radiator hose blew off on one of my rings got hot.did not mess up cylinders or anything else parts to make it run are less than $100 for everything.let me know I was just thinking about putting it on ebay." I can't get him to name a price on it, he just says "i've got more than $3K into it, but'll let it go way less than that". What's it worth?? What would it go for on eBay?
  2. Hmmm, I kept a couple pieces... more of a souvenier than anything else. Thats a good idea though, how'd that work out for ya??
  3. Maybe in Indiana, but sure as shit not in Florida!
  4. There is a BIG difference between Castor and Castrol oil. Which are we talking about here?
  5. Personally, I'd go GM right now, and here's my thinking: First off, I'll tell you I've owned Ford and GM trucks, my last GM a k1500 I bought new in 1994 and JUST got rid of it and wish that I DIDNT. It NEVER fucked up, never. 150K and strong as hell still. My Ford was great too, but I didn't own it nearly as long. My buddy's 1999 v6 F150 never fucks up either. That said, I'd go GM or Ford. BUT the 2009 F150 will be a new body style, so I personally would not buy a 2008. I really like the new silverado/ sierra, it's a nice body style. The Tundra, IMO, is a POS. Youtube the Tundra tests and see for yourself. It's a weak platform. Soft frame. I don't know if you work for a living like I do, but that truck would last a couple months tops on a jobsite, it's just soft. My other buddy owns one and the tailgate warped to shit the first time he rode his quad on it...are you fucking kidding me? Trucks are the one thing America has always, and still does, the best. Buy American. And don't give me the BS about the tundUH being built in America, while that may be true it's still lining the pockets of asian businessmen. Toyota, I will admit, make good reliable econo cars... they should have stopped there. The tundra snaps camshafts and driveshafts, and consumer reports slipped Toyota as a whole due the the tundUH.
  6. Oh hell yeah, I love my dremel, just wasn't sure if it'd be up to the task or not. Probably end up doing a combo of grinder and dremel... I dunno
  7. Nah, the VIN matches the shee, it's just titled as a bike.
  8. I talked to that dude about his bike Chase, he's pretty shady about it. His aswer to most questions is " I bought it like that". With a little proding he'll let out that the previous owner had a friend at the DMV. It's titled as a yamaha 350 motorcycle and not a OHV. It's kinda legit, but you and I both know how the cops are down here... it's only a matter of time before one puts an "exploration request" on the registration and then you're prolly gonna lose your bike and maybe face fraud charges too. It would be fukken sick though, huh?!?
  9. So, it happened, I threw my chain and never bought that case saver... you know the rest! Thank God it's just a cosmetic break in the upper case, so I feel somewhat lucky there. Already ordered my new chain and sprockets from RJATV (John's the man) and yes, this time I will run a case saver even thought it's kinda too late, just don't want next time to be worse! My question, for those who have already been through this, is how did you "clean up" the break? It's pretty rough and jagged looking now, I'm thinking I'll take my grinder or dremel and try to straighten it up a bit and make it look less, uh, horrible. What did y'all do? Thanks HQ!
  10. It's been a 50/50 shot for me the past few days, both home and at work, sometimes it works and sometimes it don't.
  11. That's what I thought, just wanted to make sure the schmuck wasn't me! Thanks dajogejr!
  12. When I first read: "This is Sven from Belgium...", I thought, this has GOT to be a joke  Welcome aboard man, the pics and bike look great! Question for you, where did you get those lowering link for the front suspension?? Thats pretty trick!
  13. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...AAQ:MOTORS:1123 Asked the seller if his kit included the idle screws, this is what he said: "No this is the TORS removal kit. You do not need the idle kit with this. I actually do not recommend the idle kit. I do not like drilling the carbs and putting screws that can come loose and lean out your bike. With this kit you can adjust the idle with the screws in the caps" I've never heard of a tors removal that did not require drill and tapping, have you??
  14. Looking for a front plastic, either white or black. Cut of uncut is fine, but it's getting cut regardless, just don;t want to cut my stock piece. I may also take a matching rear, but thats optional Thanks
  15. I'm looking to do a fast trail port. I've tried to search, but found limited information on who's the man to go to for port work. What's the board concensus on who to go to for this type of work? Anybody ever use Banshee Boyz in AL? TDR, who's fairly local to me, wants 5 weeks turn around time!!
  16. Just remember if you do go this route, you won't be able to run your airbox anymore, and look how dirty your bike is in my sig... I think you'd be cruisin' for a brusin'
