  1. So if I take the pipes of and tip if forward with each piston up it will come out? does the piston go that high? It was idling for about 5 min. I hope nothing happened.
  2. Yes, it's 10w30. Thanks for the input everyone. Any more? Is there a way to clean the carbon off the head without taking it off? Yeah, it's about 10:30 PM here and I was running this thing. Looks like a fog swept in.
  3. I just put the bike together. Installed new pistons, rings, cool head and jet kit. Started on the 3rd kick  BUT, when I was cleaning out the crank I put about a quart of regular oil on the crank so it would runst. It sat for a week or two. I forgot to dump it out before installing pistons, cylinders, etc. I ran it for aboout 5 min and it smokes like crazy. Less at the end. The plugs are all oily. I hope I'm not the person stupid enough to do this :: How do I get the oil out? Will it burn out throught the exhaust when going through the break in/heat cycles? Should I take the pipes off and tip the bike forward with the piston all the way up and it might come out one side at a time??? CHIT  I just want to know if it will blow out any seals, etc...DAMAGE ANYTHING Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks
  4. Thanks, Where do the big brown ones go? They are like 3 inches across. If anyone has directions please send to [email protected]
  5. I bought a used cool head, just got some new o-rings and ready to install. I think I know where they all go, but just want to double check. Can someone get me some instructions or let me know where they go. The ones I'm concerned about are the two brownish larger ones. Where do the go on the domes?? Thanks
  6. I am looking for two domes for my Pro Design Cool Head. I am looking for either 21cc or 20cc. Something I can run with 93 pump gas. Let me know what you got and how much. I would appreciate if someone suggested where I can get two for cheap. Thanks
  7. Please post a pic if you can and do you accept PayPal?
  8. Guaranteed good bearings, etc? Please send pics to [email protected]. PayPal?
  9. I am looking for a rear end set up that is ready to go, bolt into swingarm, with good bearings, etc.. Stock or aftermarket axle with carrier already attached with good bearings. Let me know what you got and how much shipped to Chicago. Thanks
  10. I just cleaned the carbs and put new plugs in. The Right pipes aren't getting hot as fast, or as hot, as the left ones. The right plug is also kind of wet. After riding it around, they're about the same temp. The bike also doesn't got the kick down low put pulls really good up top. I checked the carbs and the slides are in sync, Choke tube in between the carbs. Any suggestions? Thanks
  11. I'm just looking for the swingarm skid plate. Let me know what you got and if willing to seperate. Thanks,
  12. Would these fit on stock banshee rims?
  13. Very interested. Located in Chicago. Please give me a call with a price. 773-636-5263
  14. I kind of figured it out. After tightening all the spring bolt down, the center on adjusts how tight the clutch grabs. How much do I screw that center screw in? Just before the plate starts moving away from the clutches? or back it out half a turn before that so there's some slack?
  15. Getting my bike read to ride this year. I thought my clutch went out last year so I put a new one in with new heavy-duty springs. I installed everything and the clutch lever is not snapping back out. The spring is on the lever that connects to the case/clutch cable lever? What can it be? Also, the screw/nut adjuster thing in the middle of the hub, how does that get adjusted. I did plenty of clutches on street bikes, but this one is giving me problems. Thanks
  16. Thanks for all the input everyone. No, we didn't take the shock off and tighten the spring. I'll try it. I think revalving it and getting a new spring will be the best. Anyone have Shane's contact info?
  17. I have a buddy that just bought a 1999 banshee and he weighs just over 250lbs. He is a pretty good rider. The rear shock is in great condition but the spring isn't strong enough to keep him from bottoming out. Well, that's what we think it is. What do you guys recommend as a cheap solution? Works, rebuild (please recommend someone, Shane guy??) or TCS, Elka??? Prices would be nice too. Thanks
  18. My rear brake caliper is leaking from the end where the parking brake connects. I have a new seal kit from Yamaha. I took the parking brake piece off and it is leaking through that shaft. I understand it's not suppose to leak even if the parking brake assembly is off and it's a common to take those off. I took the cylinder out and how do I replace the seal in the small shaft? I tried unscrweing it, etc. ? Anyone got some advice, detailed instruction or manual, etc...? Thanks,
