  1. PM sent, thanks man!
  2. Ok, I finally got my engine out of my project frame. I was going to clean it up and shave some of the brackets I'm never going to use. Pretty much the front brake line holders, and the headlight brackets. I was wondering what the best way to go about this is. What I was going to do was shave them with a sawzall as best I cal, and then use a grinder, and cut them down to the frame. Anyone have any other suggestions something easier? I know alot of you guys have done similar stuff. As always, thanks for the help!
  3. Bump for ya chase! Awesome guy to deal with! If your gonna sell the motor in pieces let me know, I need some of that stuff, just not all of it.
  4. Yeah, I know it's not gonna be a stump puller by any means, but with the stup on my 2001, I'd be ahead of piped and jetted 450s all day long in tighter trails, hill shoots, and open roads. I'm pretty happy with the grunt with the mods I had done, just don't know if it's worth it or not to drop the loot on an MX port. I probably don't need it, but it'd be nice to have. Also, I got quoted 280 for boring/honing wiseco prolites(rings, etc.) and gaskets. Basically, 80 for bore/hone 175 for prolites, and 25 for return shipping.
  5. Ohh yeah, I ride pretty much tighter trails and powerline cuts.
  6. 260s with 25 pilots hsould be dead on if your running an air box with lid, and have no other mods. That's the setup I have run for a long long time now, and have had 0 problems. You really have to let us know what temp and altitude your running at too. I bump up to 270s when the weather drops below 40
  7. Ok, I'm building a new engine, and the cylinders I got, need to be bored and honed. I'm sending them out to have them done, and since I had it apart, I figured now would be the time to have porting done. Just had a few questions for anyone running an MX port. The MX Port is quite a bit of money on top of the bore/hone/pistons. It is a little more then I wanted to spend, but I figured now would be the time. If I have the cylinders sleeved later on, what would be the deal with the porting? Can they even be re-sleeved after porting? Is it a pain in the ass, and a ton of money to do this? On average, how much will I notice the MX port? It will be done on the 2001 in my sig, with the mods listed. I really would like the powerband to come on a bit smoother. Once this is done, I really don't want to do anything else. I don't want to do new carbs, or anything else, I'm way over budget on this build allready. So I guess my next question is will I need anything else other then a few extra jets to play around with? I guess that's it for now. The bore/hone and pistons are running me about 280 total, I really wasnt planning to dump more $$ on a port job, but if it's really going to be worth it, and I won't have to buy anything else for it, I'll probably go with it. As always, thanks a lot, you guys are always super-imformative,
  8. Engine is gone!!!!! Thanks for the interest, check out the calipers I have for sale too: http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=71392
  9. yeah, e-bay is gonna be the next stop, figured I'd give an HQer first shot for a good price, but I guess no one needs them. Ohh well......
  10. bump, plenty of interest in my engine, the calipers, not so much. $35 shipped? These are in good shape, would look good on any bike!
  11. If you e-mail me pics, I'll host them for you. [email protected]
  12. PM sent, sale pending
  13. Not bad, it is a J arm, but does have a title. You could part it out and make some $$$ on that one. Sent you a PM about my engine.
  14. Sent you a PM.
  15. Forgot to add cases are in good shape, NO chain whack, minor wear and tear here and there, but nothing major, doesn't leak oil. Has Ricky Stator Adjustable timing plate! I have carbs, wiring harness, CDI, coils, Stator cover, etc etc. Lemme know what you need, that dteremines the price. Looking for someone sort of local first before I ship it. Like I said, if you wanna pick it up, or I will even meet you half way, I'll make a good deal on it. Here's some pics!
  16. $$35 shipped? I'm pretty reasonable!
  17. I have a complete 2001 Banshee engine. It is on it's 2nd bore, and runs storng. Kicked to 120PSI before I took it out, and the clutch is still good, and the tranny shifts like butter. I also have electronics and carbs. You can pick and choose what you need, if you don't want the wiring harness, CDI, coils, or carbs, I'll hang onto them. If you come and pick this up or are close, I'll make you an awesome deal on it. I can ship, but it's not gonna be cheap. I'll grab some pics tomorrow or the day after, it was raining out, and I didn;t get a chance to bring it out of my trailer. Thanks for looking, PM me with any questions or post 'em here.
  18. Indeed, the SSTs connect to the expansion chamber farther back then the normal FMFs. These will only fit SST expansion chambers. I'd take them, but I allready have a set that are close to new. For free I'm sure someone will take them though. These guys sell for $200 new!
  19. bump bump bump

    Quad Wanted

Yeah, Want Ad Press has a lot of good deals on bikes, that's where I found mine. EDIT: I'll sell you the 2002 shee in my sig for 1800 straight up, as it sits. (probably only a couple hundred dollars more then a blaster)
  21. Ohh god, you'll get a million and one different answers. You better hope this kid has a lot of loot, because to build the perfect machine is basically trial and error. Trial and error with TCS shocks, elkas, paul turner pipes, DMCs, FMFs tends to cost a lot. I wish you the best in building the "perfect" bike, but I think you'll get way way way too many answers here to make anything useful out of. Read the product reviews forum and see if you can find people with similar likes as you, that should help out a bit. I think the only thing that is unanamoius is to go with the 250r geo. From there on out, good luck!
  22. Hell yeah, why do you think so many drag racers talk about "being on the bottle"? They mean boost bottle of course.
