I can see how it was a wate of time & money since all they needed was some "Flex Agent" added to the paint ....................... I paint pliable materials every now & then .... I did my Interior on my 90 Celica awhile back & we used alot of flexilizer but, the material on the dash was very soft.......... This is what it looked like before adding the clear & some final quick airbrush work - Not a bad Ricer for $500 !!!!!!!!! I traded it right away for a 76 pontiac Grand Prix for my wife The 3 wheeler runs good & drove pretty well considering that we redid the rear end stance !!!!LOL !!!! Only thing it needs is - Good tires, Recoil work, & a good chain ........... I think i could ship this on a Palate for not too much !!!!!! I Order rims all the time & i can get around 4/5 sets of rims per palate - & shipping is cheaper that way.............. Maybe we can work a deal or something on them parts????? LMK

Thanks for the Comment on the Caprice ... It wasnt even finished while at the car show, i was still buffing it out the day we brought it down there!!!!!!!!!!! The car would look ok on some 20's or bigger but, Yu cant see the ghost patterns & designs in it that make it all lowrider material .......... The paint would not fit Slab/donk style of car........ were buildin my mom a Minty metallic/ Pearl green chevelle that will have 22 or 23's om the rear & 20 or 21's up front.........

The best stuff i use in my shop is a product by SEM ... It is a 2 part mixture called "Problem plastic repair material" ........ 1st you scuff up the backside real good with 40 grit or so sandpaper ( Something for the mix to really bite into ) , Then you use the fiberglass repair tape that will be pointed out to you in the store or you can use fiberglass joint tape that you use to do drywall seams(same stuff ) ......... After area has been scuffed around entire area - Dont be shy when doing so - Scuff alot of area surrounding crack to be safe ... At least 1'' to 2'' on each side of crack for the entire length of the crack as well... Next mix the 2 part mixture & lay a coat down over area & then lay repair tape over that ... Cover with a remaining mixture & let sit ( Dont be cheap with it & use enought to cover the tape & area well ) Let harden up in 10-20 minutes & that side is done .................... Topside : Optional !!!! Must finish with a paint to make it look good ... Use a dremel to dig out a small groove in the crack itself - Dont go too far down Add mixture & after it has cured ,,, Sand down smooth with a block & 320 grit Finish with some paint or cover witha decal .................... You should be good to go

I do both & this is what i think of each ........... Painting a frame with (Automotive / PPG/ Dupont?HOK /ECT) is a great way to get that ultimate custom look that your looking for... Paint can be manipulated with special effex such as marbelizing, crystals, color change , multi color or all out custom paint with airbrush & such...... They offer Greatest resistance to chemicals such as Laquer thinners & of that nature.... You can get the greatest effect from paint thru kandies & pearls ... Paint requires alot of prep work & alot of materials in order to do it the proper way from etch primer to 2k primer to basecoat & or mid coat , & clear coat... Auto paint cab be as hard or harder than powdercoat & can withstand chipping equally as well (if proper prepping was done) ALL dependant on what brand & quality of products used................. Paint will always have an edge when it comes to bad ass custom looks !!!!!!!!! Powdercoat has some advantages .... It does not hold up to laquer thinners or harsh chemicals as it is thought to be unless an industrial grade is being used & in most cases - It is not.............. podercoating has some great colors but, when applying - you cannot make mind blowing effects before entering the oven because the powder has a chance to blow off or become smudged.. it does dull / haze in the finish but, it can be buffed out & polished like a automotive clear coat...!!!!!! Powder is easier to apply than auto paint by far !!!!!!!!!!! I does have a great resistance to chipping in larger chunks as to where paint tends to take a little more with but,,,,, Depends on how the prep was done, materials & if it was properly cured.............. Powder can be handled right after the item cools down & put back on teh machine in 1 day if wanted............ NOT with auto paint...... Here is my choice : ( I myself will paint / Because i like full custom looks & I can always do touch ups or whatever myself anytime i feel ) but,,,,From a customers standpoint : All out show & lookin pretty - Paint All out in the woods, track & field - Powder

It seems as soon as i want to get rid of it - No one wants it .......

pipes getting rusted plz help
STREETSWEEPAZ replied to UNITED_BANSHEE_10's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
I would suggest buying some Naval Jelly or similar product , Follow as directed & them follow that up with a polish / sealant ..... Try not to use anything abrasive - that will lead to further exposed metals to rust ... - You have to seal out the moisture ........... A light coating of oils or hand rubbed on sealant -
Here is a pic of my snowmobile that was stolen from me & recovered 2 years afterward.... I felt sorry for it & gave it a quick paintjob to lift its spirits ....... I painted this in a few hours & took it out to play the next day !!( I should have let it cure for a week at least ) !! It has held up fairly good for the last year - It has chipped & scratched due to harsh riding but, Thats not the point ............. Point is that The paint WILL adhere as long as you prep it properly ..... Scuffing/Sanding down, Wax & grease remover , & proper painting conditions & Maybe adding a flex agent will make it last ....................
