I would call Packard or K&T for a drag port. If you dont want to use one of them use RDZ. Packard is the Lectron king, dont let someone tell you there is a better carb out there than the lectrons.
If you run a hid you have to run a battery. I run a stock stator converted to dc with a battery. It runs my 3 vision x led solstice lights, and my led underbody lights pretty well. Whats the amp draw on the hid? Do you already run a battery?
I used to run bored stock carbs with fmf gold series pipes on pod filters and port work with 390 mains in them. I now run pro circuits with a port job on mikuni TM 28mm carbs at 390 mains. You can try the 260, but it seems awful lean to me. There is no way I would do it.
Is there any sign of damage to the flywheel? This is hard to diagnose, but if the bike was in front of me I am sure I could tell what was wrong.
This may take time. But lets summarize this.
List all mods out like this:
Pipes
air filter
head
carbs
etc....
Then list out everything you have checked in the same way.
carbs
stator
squish
etc.....
At the end, put what happened to make it run funny. Then peveryone can look at it close and see if there is something here we are missing.
I got some bdu material from the fabric store and had my grandma sew it into the insides of the legs on my riding pants. My pipes don't melt my pants anymore.
I don't, you run the risk of stripping the screw, and it almost always moves when you tighten back down. I just take a screwdriver and bend the sensor on the mounting tab to set the gap.
The gnarley and the fatty are newer pipes.
They originally started with only 2 pipes. The torque pipes, and the rev pipes. Then they came out with the original gold series pipes. After that it was the fatty, the sst, and the gnarley.
