  1. Stock carbs can not be bored to 30mm. 27.5 is about the most I would got to be safe. The carb bore wil exceed the diameter of the slide.
  2. sounds like you have a problem.. whats your setup and what domes and pistons?
  3. depends.. anywhere from 150-190.. alot of variable.
  4. subframe isn't removeable and even if it was.. its still too long.
  5. problem is 600 or something like that is max for insurance.. it gets scary when your shipping a 3k chassis. I dont think JT's chassis is going to ship greyhound.. its too long.
  6. i'd send a pm to n20toofastforu or something like that.. see what he says.
  7. Hey guys.. I got a cousin who wants to go to the HQ ride at Little Sahara in Oct. He was wondering if there might be any people interested in going and spliting fuel with him.
  8. ups wanted like 400 to ship mine.
  9. your clutch is probably out of adjustment, worn or springs are getting weak. The clutch should hold the power.
  10. Hell with it Jeff.. I'll Take that deal. We'll deliver at the HQ ride. LOL
  11. +10 would be be my suggestion.. if you got a +8.. run it..
  12. how much duning will this bike actually see? is it majority Dune or majority Drag? shock can be worked for a +8 swing arm.. but the shock is so long it really hikes up the rear of the bike.
  13. Just throwing this out there.. but I've never had any problems with hot rods on any of my builds. And there is A LOT of hotrods out there. OEM stuff is good.
  14. I'll be there in sept for sure If you put that race together.. I'm sure you'd get the turn out. I know I'd be bringing atleast 2 bikes. It would also help if people knew class structure before the event. I would like to see some minor tweaking of the classes. I'm sure alot of us have been around the game long enough to come up with some ideas that would make it more fair and still have a quick tech check.
  15. As long as bore specs are met and not just "throw in and go".. I think they'll be fine.
  16. I dont know about you.. but I've never ran cast iron pistons before..
  17. The Crank may still be good. It may only need a topend rebuild (pistons) if the crank needs to be rebuilt.. Its about the same price to buy a new crank as it is to rebuild them.
  18. Does anyone from florida or on the way through from florida want to make this trip? I got a cousin looking to split some fuel.
  19. Hell.. I'd make the drive.. lol I'm unemployed..
  20. 2x as many reeds to replace when its time. ($120 for replacements) I got 3 seasons on my chariots. The chariot cages use proven boyesen dual stage power reeds. ($50 for replacements) The dual stage reeds have great response. I'm trying to find a set of boyesen pro-series reeds and do a dyno camparison between the chariots with power reeds and Chariots with pro-series reeds
