  1. wouldnt the front tires lifting off the ground break the beam? the problems with the lights were programming related. The beams were checked and aligned before the runs. I wasn't sure what you meant by beam jumping but now I understand. My RT's are really that bad.. its no joke! lol I dont have alot of experience with the tree.
  2. Did some research on how the ET's are calculated. "Two Separate performances are monitored for each run: elapsed time and speed. Upon leaving the staging beams, each vehicle activates an elapsed-time clock, which is stopped when that vehicle reaches the finish line. The start-to-finish clocking is the vehicle's elapsed time (e.t.), which serves to measure performance" If my ET doesn't start untill I leave the stage beam, then my RT shouldn't affect my 60ft times or my ET. So despite falling asleep at the line it took my bike 4.11 sec. to reach the finish line after I left the stage beam. Am I correct? I looked at alot of other time slips on here and Planet Sand and my 60ft times and MPH are very close for my ET. Titan racing had a cub go 4.12 @ 86mph with a 1.7 60ft. Maybe I'm wrong
  3. could be? I ran 4.149 in the left lane with a 1.507 60ft Bike feltt like it was leaving hard. Front pulled up about 2-3 inches for the first 60ft or so. Who knows?
  4. Please.. Do tell! Its 300ft
  5. Its been about 4yrs since I been to the track.. so my RT is definatetly rusty!! (dont beat me up too bad) The lights were messing up all night and they finally got it going right. When you staged some times it would lock up and not start. So sometimes you sitting there waitin for the yellow/green and nothing. kinda a pain in the as. They ended up gettin it to works so I finally got a time slip. But all in all.. still had a fun night. With a alot of practice and some more tuning I should be faster.. Oh.. and I'm in the right lane.
  6. Going on 7 yrs with my Pro-Design Coolhead with no problems..
  7. I use a WCR 1-5 duneable also... works like a champ!
  8. Well I hope things work out and you can make it out there.
  9. Yes the pedals can go bad. The reeds are supposed to lay flat on the cage. For some reason the VF3 use such a light tension reed that it is normal to have a small gap at the end of the pedals. But if the reed gap is out of spec then they're bad. I would call mototassinari (v-force) and find out what the spec is. If you need a new set of pedals I have a brand new set that i'll sell for 80.00 shipped.
  10. PT's will give you more bottom and mid then the PC's but the PC's will have a lil better top end. Might consider PT hi-rev or T-5's too.
  11. PM sent
  12. I agree. What size needle are you using? might try a needle with a leaner diameter.
  13. my Tyson lightend chassis might be for sale also!
  14. If you got spark, I'd do a compression test. If you got good compression and spark its gotta be fuel. I would do a leak test also.. Let me know if you need a tester and I'll send mine over.
  15. Hey Dan I might have my 4mil for sale this fall. I've decided to go bigger!
  16. The HQ ride is July 13th-15th, I cant make the weekend before the 4th. I'll be there on the 3rd though and staying all week. I'm hoping more people can make the trip July 13th thru 15th. As of right now I think I have had about 15-20 guys say there in for the ride. There should be some fast bikes going, should be a fun weekend for everyone.
  17. I'd like to go this weekend but I'm going to the race @ albright shores. When I made my reservations in feb. I wasn't sure wich weekend people were going so I made them for the 3rd-8th. Hopefully I still catch a few of you out there and at the HQ ride.
  18. Your not Joking! I was already talking to my builder about a DM. It never ends. Congrats on your wins!
  19. I ran him a few times before he left. Either my bike is running great or he's still having problems keeping the front down and backing off the throttle. I saw him run friday over at WMSD and he held the front tires almost all 300ft. So I'm guessing with out the bar he's having problems. I almost got a sparky ticket last weekend too! I got finished with a run and turned around to go back.. I get back to the line and He flies up there like a bat out of hell throws on his lights. As soon as he gets out he's like "oh.... you got sparkies on there huh? Didn't see them, All I saw was chrome flash and I thought it didn't have spark arrestors" Then he takes off again... I'm sitting there thinking WTF How can you miss those big ugly things hanging off the end of my silencers!?!? I'm hoping there'll be some bigger bikes out there the next couple weekends after the 4th.
  20. I'll have to stop by. Hopfully the strip gets some rain. I was just out there last weekend and it was VERY dry and loose. I was spining bad with 13 extreme's. If i got into some of the damp sand in the middle I hooked better but that was were the whoops were at. Almost lost it on one run.... I wish someone would have been there to get a vid of it, I could only imagine what it looked like!
  21. Sounds like theres going to be a decent turn out.
  22. I'll be at the state campgound on the 4th.. I'm trying to get a HQ ride together for the 13th and 14th of july.
  23. I think he meant ( Gas, Bike and beer )
  24. stock carbs? might want to check the cable at the junction box and make sure the housing is good.. somtimes it can break apart and the peices get stuck and wont let the cable seat right in the housing.. seen it happen a few times..
  25. I just ran into EXACTLY the same problem this weekend on my brothers bike. He installed a idle kit and removed tors caps. When he was putting everything back together he put the slides in the wrong carbs. It was doing exactly what yours was doing. Intermitent fire and running cold and weak on one cylinder. Might want to check that out. Switch the carb caps and make sure the cut-away on the slides face back. I found the problem after checking everything else out like you did.. turned out to be a simple fix..
